My diet hasn't change much i've been working out for about 5 weeks and have gained 7lbs. Please help me to understand the weight gain? When I was not working out I was neither gaining or losing weight.
579324 tn?1276054274 anyone have any ideas on what it could be? i do listen to loud loud music when at my cardio kickboxing class, however, i am away now and haven't been there since may 10, and i still have the ringing or noise, like a sharp tuning fork noise or the noise from a hearing test. please let me know if you can shed some light. thanks.
Avatar n tn t feel deprived. The key is a calorie deficit. For exercises, I recommend Zumba or kickboxing, personally, because it makes you feel like you are doing something to workout and learn something for day to day life (Zumba, dancing; Kickboxing, self defense). I have lost 40 pounds since September while breastfeeding. Some say more than 1-2 pounds per week is bad but it isn't always the case. Its all about how you feel and re-training your body.

However, if I lift weights for 40 mins or so, I feel OK during the workout, but get a really tight pressure in my chest later in the day and my oxygen saturation seems to drop in the evening. Interestingly, my heart rate is much higher when boxing (170-180bpm) as opposed to weight lifting (120-140 bpm). I am also extremely focused on proper breathing when weightlifting to avoid really high blood pressure.
1116556 tn?1345115906 I do a very scaled down verson of step aerobics. I also have pain in my hips and legs and I started out VERY slowly at about 5 minutes just walking in place on the floor. I have now moved up to a 3 inch high step and some days I even make it an hour. Other days my legs hurt too bad to even think about trying to do it. I found a yoga mat under the step helps, and since I also have balance issues, I work out between my bed & dresser so that I have something to hold on to.

1577500 tn?1298123923 Yes, you can. Balance your workout. Also try muscle confusion. Try something different, cycling, running, kickboxing, etc. alternate types of exercises and also do anaerobic weight training.

ON Dec 22, 2011 almost 4 weeks ago...i had an ovary removed along with the tube & a tennis ball size cyst & a d&c. 172023 tn?1334672284 Anyway, what I recommend you eat is some form of protein, and some form of complex carb prior to exercising, about 1/2 hour before your workout or walk...whatever you have chosen to do. This provides some quick, easily usable energy for your workout, and the protein provides a bit of "oomph" during and after your workout. Some things you can eat: 1 egg, scrambled and a slice of low cal, whole wheat toast.
684175 tn?1295477838 s by the end of the week so I changed up my exercise routine. Decided to do some kickboxing. OMG!! Kicked my butt!!! My legs are killing me LOL. Hopefully tomorrow will see a dip in the scale.
Avatar f tn I started off with a bmi of 26 & gained 8 pounds in the first trimester. I was constantly hungry & come to find out my thyroid was really low (doesn't hello the weight gain). Just stayed the 2nd trimester & hoping I can gain a little less to even out the early weight gain. I try to workout 4 days a week & I started using a pedometer on my phone for a reminder to keep myself moving. I gained about 55 pounds with child #1 & only 26 with child #2.
Avatar m tn m not sure if dry skin or not, as sometimes can be a tad bit itchy (I workout twice a day usually [gym and kickboxing] but shower after so wouldn't think its sweat rash etc..) It seems to be most apparent in the mornings after I shower, I've tried taking Fluconazole but that's not helped. I've attached some pics hopefully somewhere here knows...
1184700 tn?1266491688 Each week I would push it a little harder. Eventually a few months into sub w/drawal I began cardio kickboxing which is a FANTASTIC total body workout. Cardio and strength training at the same time. I would leave there feeling so beat up, but in a great way. Exercise really really really helps me through w/drawal including the depression part. Keep it up.
