30-minute forays are just frustrating you more, and are not giving a home remedy a chance to work. I believe the reason this works is that it smothers the blisters into nonexistence as well as infusing the skin with the mint and some other ingredient in the Pepsodent that helps kill whatever living organism is causing the blisters (is it the Formaldehyde? I don't know).
But does anyone know any home remedies to get rid of a tooth ache? I have an infection and I took some prescribed hydrocodone, but it didn't work :( Really don't want to take anymore and need a remedy to get rid of pain until the antibiotics kick in.
If you have a fractured tooth anywhere near another tooth, you need to address it. A fractured tooth is a perfect place to breed bacteria. The bacteria will not only affect the fractured tooth, but the ones next to it. It spreads via the periodontal ligament and will slowly dissolve the bone that holds your teeth in place. I had ONE tooth that bothered me. Wound up loosing FOUR because I didn't have it checked soon enough. Go by my example.
The last time I had a middle ear infection, I had mild hearing loss as well, and antibiotics did not help me at all. Instead, I used an old home remedy: I tilted my head sideways, put a capful of hydrogen peroxide in my infected, "stuffed-up" ear for a minute at a time, then tilted my head to the other side to let it drain. I did this twice a day for about four or five days before the fluid sac popped and drained.
HELP! For the past two years I have been getting painful recurring face infection (boil) on different parts of my face (my chin, above eye, on rim of ear, on skin just in front of earlobe... anywhere. I feel one coming on and I call in a perscription for Dicloxacillin 500 mg and take 4 a day (28 pills). It goes away and I am fine for 3 to 4 months and I get another one different place. The Dr.
Several years ago I had an infection that caused the left side of my face to swell up. I thought it was a tooth but the dentist said no, it was sinus infection, and that because the antibiotics have to basically "go through bone" (that's how he put it) it can take several rounds to clear up an infection.
What you are describing is a classic soft tissue infection or "cellulitis," which can be caused by many organisms -- all susceptible to certain antibiotics and not others. Some organisms cause a pretty consistent set of symptoms and appearances that your primary care physician will be able to recognize but which you may not. This may give him/her a better idea about which antibiotic to use to treat your infection.
I've put plenty of food, biscuits and water down as i daren't even go in my own home for fear of him attacking again and i don't know how to stop him plus he tries to trap us in a room with no escape! Please help I can't live like this, he's my baby and really don't want to have him put to sleep as family have suggested. Please help. Thank you.
Clues that you may have a bacterial infection include - pus coming out of your nose, - upper tooth pain or pain in your face, - sinus pain on one side, - new or worse symptoms after initially improving after a cold Instead of antibiotics, reach for over the counter painkillers, fever reducers, and decongestants.
I check my temp when I get these episodes and its perfectly normal. I do not have a infection or am not sick. Im not even in a cold environment. Everyone around me is not cold. Its the weirdest thing, and I cant find a answer for it. Its like my body is messed up and sending these chills for no reason. Please help.
They called and said I had a VERY bad yeast infection. This time I started feeling similar to the last time. By day 3 I was swollen and red again with mild itching and a white/clear stretchy discharge. I have been with a new partner since Nov. 2005 and these problems have started since then. I seem to be irritated down there almost always after we have sex. Do you think maybe it's his body chemistry that isn't mixing well with my "inside"?
I am not sure who I would see to get it diagnosed, or use some type of home remedy to heal this. My cheekr feels swollen, and the area hurts to the touch of pressure. Please help ASAP.
If its too severe, it may need to be removed to relieve the pain. There's no real home remedy to fix it at this stage. It'll probably worsen over time and may potentially abscess. In some cases, the pain may stop because the nerve will die inside the tooth. But that indicates that the infection has spread deep into the tooth and it can continue to spread into the jaw bone, rest of the head, down the neck, etc.
Home remedy probably can not solve your problem. You do need to have a dental visit.
Ever since I have had this taste in my mouth and that tooth is still sensitive as well as that sinus but no longer hurts. Is there any home remedy for this??
first of all just call a pharmacist and ask if its okay that you take motrin, it does help, but woulnt want it to interfere with your norco, anyway here is a home remedy that has worked for me and my daughter, some of you may laugh, but dont knock it till you try it. Get some icecubes and and rub your hands together with the ice in between, it somehow deadens the nerves, my husband suggested it when i was having one of my terrible toothaches, he read it in a home remedy book. best of luck!
I had never had acne in my life until a few weeks ago, I think it was related to a serious tooth infection which I had removed (three teeth and inflamed gums), I think the acne may have been from the infected teeth. Dose anyone know? What is a good home remedy that works and should I be squeezing them or will that leave scarring (they are red bumps with tiny whit dots)?
The endodontist said the tooth was cracked and recommended a low fitting crown. After the root canal all the pain went away. After the temporary crown was placed, I am in extreme pain. I went back to the dentist 3 days later and he adjusted my bite and some of the pain subsided. Now 5 days after that the pain is increasing again, it is sharp and throbbing, I cannot eat or chew on that side without severe pain.
i was already doing that. old remedy my grandmother told me years ago. i can across a home remedy that said to soak a tea bag in warm water, wring it out and put the tea bag on the abcess. when you are in extreme pain nothing you just about wont try...that is safe anyway. and about a half hour later after applying the tea bag to the abcess i started getting results. i later did another fresh tea bag last night. and this morning was even better. and i applied the tea bag several times today.
Neck lymph nodes can be the result of tonsillitis, pharyngitis (infection of upper throat), infection in mouth, caries in tooth, internal ear infection, outer ear infection, eczema, dermatitis, dandruff, breast cancer, fungal infection, other cancers like lymphoma etc. If you had flu like symptoms initially then it could be due to infectious mononucleosis too. The enumerated the possibilities can be investigated or ruled out one by one by your physician and dentist.
The taste was a little off-putting (gotta love pregnancy hormones) but I read somewhere that honey is another home remedy, so I added a tiny bit of honey to off set the taste. But seriously... THANK YOU! I have a cavity and I cant sleep or eat and Monday (when the dentist opens) can't come fast enough. I finally have a little relief, anbesol didn't work, cloves didnt work, nothing worked. Thank Goodness for baking soda!
) Afterwards, pressure sensitivity improved but gum swelled on the linqual side. Dentist treated with Cavitron and said tooth would need to be extracted if swelling continued. Four days ago, had tooth 14 prepped for crown. All okay first day, then cheek and jaw started swelling and have not improved. No pain in tooth 14. Made an independent appt with Oral Surgeon but can't get in for three weeks. Any ideas/suggestions? And, why would tooth 14 exacerbate 29? Or, is it a separate problem?
i have a dry socket after a lower left wisdom tooth extraction. my jaw bone is exposed. i have been successfully treating the pain at home by packing it with an olive/clove oil soaked piece of gauze which i change every 4-6 hours. i also rinse with salt water between dressing changes. however, i am now concerned that my packing the socket may be impeding the healing process.
the dentist can give you a prescription for a medicated mouth rinse that should work better than any home remedy. if i were you i might try a different dentist. gum disease is never in the early stages when the teeth become loose. a simple cleaning will not do anything for your problem. i do agree that its insane that a breast job is covered but not dental care. i have always been amazed viagra is covered and birth control isnt under many insurance plans.
Hi, Its been over past 6 to 7 months that the gum attached to my molar tooth has been paining like hell. I am a 25 year old female who brushes 2 times a day. It hurts alot when I am drinking any liquid and chewing food. I have started chewing from only left side of my mouth now. Please help out advice? Dental checkup is expensive here in the US.
You can use soaps with a pH that are suitable for our skin and baby washes should be fine too. Don't use perfumed soaps. Another good home remedy is to apply natural set yogurt to your cleaned and dried genital area. This will cool down the inflamed skin and help to lessen the intense burning and itching as well as having the good bacteria to help rid the fungus. Don't wear tight clothes and tights and only wear cotton underwear.
Root fracture is not likely, because if it is present, and for such a long time, the offending tooth genarally will get infection and abscess or periapical pathology will be present.
I finally, after 15 years , had oral surgery and now my acne has gone away. I don't think this is a coincidence. I think the tooth infection was causing the acne. Some of you who have persistent adult acne might want to get your teeth (the roots) checked.
My dentist swears by a damp tea bag.....gross. And, yes in the "OLD DAYS" they would drink a whole-lotta whiskey........Not recommended ........but i bet it worked.....lol. Nauty.......
