hello, i had an implant done 3 days ago after removal of my front upper tooth UR2, by the 'immediate loading' method. Everything seems to be fine, no pain, no bleeding etc, except for the strange feeling in my implanted tooth and the adjacent tooth UR1. The area feels a bit 'tight' ( i would describe this sensation to be similar to when i floss my teeth and the dental floss stucks between two of them causing a funny feeling of tightness).
s been almost 2 years now since the implant. My Mom did her implant in local doctor here in my hometown, Medan, Indonesia. Several months later, I'm not quite sure how many months but I can check with her later. Since that she had several problem.
She began to experience :
* headache = very heavy headache
* feeling like sparkling fireworks inside her mouth especially in front jaw. Every time she talks too much, then this feelings come. And it very hurts for her.
The right eye tooth needed a root canal next, but the pain continues in the first implant. I went to an oral surgeon and he said the implant was infected and in my sinus cavity. This implant was removed. The my jaw did not heal correctly, because there were bone fragments and pus were the first tooth was removed, and implant. The second implant was pinching into my jaw and they was a notch there, and this implant was remove.

Looks like I will also need the other side done as well, an implant in tooth #14(fist molar) on the upper left. So basically #14 on left and #2 on right need to be done. If there is not enough bone, will a sinus lift fix the issue so an implant can be placed? Who does the sinus lift, an ENT? I am worried that I am in for a difficult road with these implants, but mabe it is not as bad as it seems. I just don't want to be toothless as I have a really nice set of teeth!
I have one tooth severely losen and had it extracted. I expect to have an implant some time later. At the time of extraction, the dentist told me I need have bone graft and it should be done at the time of tooth extractio or at least within two weeks after the extraction. But I did not follow his advice and just simply had the tooth extracted.
My question is if I am to have an implant later, can I still have bone graft at that time?
From the x-ray of my implant, I found that my implant is too close to tooth #9 and the bone in between my implant and tooth #9 not grow much to integrate with the implant.
I could also see the implant through my front gum, the gray color show off.
I deeply worried and began to consult with some oral surgeons and some implant specialist. When they see the x-ray, all their first reaction is: This implant is not good. So, I took a CT Scan to see the implant 3-dimension.
And to throw this in the mix....my father-in-law is a dentist too. He advised me against the implant in the beginning because he didn't think the trauma to my face left me with enough bone to support it.
I just finished the round of amoxicillin yesterday. The periodontist said we will play it by ear and if the infection stays away, then we will keep my appointment with him in September to do the gum graft.

I have had this problem with no pain for about 1 1/2 years now, what will happen as time goes on? anotherwords if I put off having tooth pulled until in pain or until I can raise money for implant will it make it more difficult to perform bone graft for implant ? or will it be more difficult to extract tooth ? any other drawbacks?

I removed 1 bad tooth last year and planed to do implant it this year. My previous dr. left the org some time last year. The new dr. changed my plan after my yesterday's visit.
He asked me to remove 3 teeth before implanting the removed one.
The 3 teeth are,
2 were decayed teeth but haven't had problem almost 15 years, they are wisdom teeth. One is 2 teeth away from the one to implant, 1 is far away at the other end.
For the 3rd one need to remove, i agree with the Dr.
I am 25 and need to replace a missing tooth. I am undecided between implant and bridge. My dentist has told me that normally for people my age he would advise implants, however, since my adjacent teeth have fillings, he told me that I should strongly consider a bridge. However, I am afraid of the damage that may be caused to the adjacent teeth.

It could also be due to tooth infections, impacted tooth or skin infections. The others are migrainous headaches and those caused due to brain disorders, disorders of the eyes , neck or ears to name a few.To find a cure you need to consult your primary care physician for proper assessment.In the meantime take OTC naproxen for relief from pain.

Now I need to change the denture and was thinking of fixed bridge instead..but Im worried of the effects in one of good tooth to be use as a support for the bridge.,was worried that it will be infected eventually also.Pls. enlighten me of the advantage and disadvantage of having bridge over dentures and the procedure to it.thank you.
