s got a tooth abscess in a healthy tooth and that the tooth should be extracted. He said it is unusual in cats and that they don't know the cause. He also suggested some antibiotics for a few days before the surgery to help with the infection. Just wondering if it is worth trying to save the tooth. Go through the course of antibiotics and see if he gets better. My vet made me feel like I was just being cheap and that conventional wisdom is to just remove the tooth.

Two days ago I begun to get an overnight sharp pain in a different tooth. The pain was in the very last back tooth, which is two teeth down from the tooth with the odour mentioned above. I am not sure I am following your post. From what I read, the kitty was drinking more excessively prior to the tooth extraction (last year) and then the "excessive" drinking subsided. Is the excessive water consumption happening again now? What about her urination? How often is she using the litter box? What kind of food are you feeding her? Some diets actually encourage a cat to drink more water. Was any sort of bloodwork done prior to her surgery?

about a week ago i had a tooth extraction done on my very back molar on my lower right side. the extraction went pretty well, although quite uncomfortable. afterwards, i felt somewhat okay, but about two to three days after i started to feel this uncomfortable pain in my lower jaw bone. the pain is felt in my jaw, my throat, my temple, my neck and my ear. i am having constant headaches.

infected teeth are very difficult to numb. usually a course of antibiotics before the extraction works well. have the tooth checked it might just be a case of needing the root canal redone and an extraction is not necessary.

what happeneds if i dont get the extraction, im trying antibotics for now! and say i get an extraction what do i do after that? can i get an implant the same day! i want to finish school with a full pair of teeth...
