I am on my first round of provera to bring on my period so i can start clomid. I have PCOS and i took my 5th provera tablet on the 19/01 and it is now day 8 after the 5th tablet and i still have no period, is this normal or should i go back to the dr. I read that it can take up to 10 to 14 days but my dr said it should only take a week. So im a little confused please help. I really want to start trying for a baby.

When I took prometrium 3 years ago, it took about 12 or 14 days to get my period. I only had one cycle since I got pregnant with my son on the second round. Good luck!!!

My gynac suggested me to take prometrium for 10 days after seeing a follicle. Its been 7 days now that i have stopped prometrium but still no periods. I have take HPT too in the past week and both the tests are negative. I am confused if I am pregnant or not Could some one suggest me here any solution. Also, when should we take the HPT once we stop prometrium.

It just finished my last pill on Sat, so now a waiting game. A friend took prometrium for 5 days and had her period 4 days after she took her last pill. Heard it can take up to a week? This is only my 2nd month with RE and 1st time I'm taking any type of meds besides BC. Then RE said she's going to put me on Estrace one my cycle comes? I'm hoping for the best? I went through an ovulation induction cycle and was put on prometrium (progesterone) to support a healthy lining. I am now 20 days past ovulation, no period, and three negative home pregnancy tests (it is now day 33 of my cycle and I am typically a 28 day cycle, like clockwork). My ob/gyn has put me on Prometrium to help regulate my menstrual cycle. My husband and I are trying to concieve our second child. With my first child I was put on prometrium for the first trimester due to low progesterone levels. Took OPK when I thought I should be Ovulating and I thought the test were + I had some spotting that week (Oct. 5-9) twinges on one side, everything I was reading was sounding like ovulation pain. Often times a very delayed period or missed period can indicate that ovulation did not occur which in turn causes your hormones to be wacky for that month. Your doc can prescribe prometrium to bring on your period.

Yes, I have been told that prometrium suppositories do delay your period while you take them, but as soon as you stop them, if you are not pregnant, you will get your period in a couple of days.

-( The doc now has me on 5 days of prometrium, I think to facilitate a period and start the whole process over. Anyone know about prometrium being used to facilitate a period? How many days later should it start? Any side effects? Thanks for the help.

so i was told to give it about 6 weeks or so and i should see my period. i just went back to my dr. 3 weeks ago with still no period. my dr. was concerned to he prescribed me prometrium to take for 6 days, saying that it should cause me to get my period about 3 days after i stopped taking it. well, it's been 2 weeks now and i still haven't gotten my period. i've had extreme cramping and adominal pain everyday since i had stopped the prometrium.

I have had a migraine every day starting at around noon and lasting until I go to bed. I took prometrium prior to pregnancy for period induction which i took for 10 days and i would get a "withdrawl" migraine for a day or two. Have any of you ladies experienced this? Prometrium doesn't delay your period. It's supposed to make it start. Mine didn't start until 2 weeks after I took the last pill, which I think is normal.

m on the last day of my 2 weeks of taking Prometrium to get my period back after Lupron. This morning while I was at a hair appointment, I started to get really dizzy and nauseous, and I felt really weak and faint. Then like 2 minutes later I ended up getting sick in the bathroom and lying on the bathroom floor in the salon with horrible lower stomach pain feeling like I was dying. She had to take the foils out of my hair and wash it out and my husband ended up having to come get me.

my doctor put me on prometrium. 1st month 10 days later i got my period. 2nd month 10 days later i only spotted for a day and no period. Did this happend to anyone? What could it be?

my 5th IUI (3rd on Clomid) ended with a BTN, but still no AF. wondering if the prometrium might delay my AF. I stopped it 2 days ago but still no sign of AF. I did blood test today but won't know the result till tomorrow, just to confirm the failure. I am really fed up with the trying and no knowing what could've gone wrong. I took 2 prometrium pills at night just because they make me very dizzy and there was no way I could take them in the morning and be able to function at work. The estace I took 2x a day and I had chest pain with them. The prometrium is progestrone and that is to help with your lining. I was also told that estace, which is estrogen was supposed to help me with my lining and my Doctor also told me it helps my chances with getting pregnant. Good luck this month. t work then he would put me on birth control for 2 months because that would help also. Well the Prometrium (I took for 12 nights in a row) ended up working and I got pregnant with the ovulation that occured right after taking the Prometrium. I don't know what provera is (depo?), but you might want to ask him about that. I also don't know anyting about ovulex.

I know Prometrium is more of a natural progesterone and Provera is synthetic, but I have already done 10 days of prometrium and no period came. Ugh...so frustrating! I have not been diagnosed, but I have heard of Metformin. Of the symptoms of PCOS, the only one I have is the absense of a cycle. I will for sure ask about it...it's worth a shot!
