Common Questions and Answers about Too much sleep brain

sleep

Avatar n tn My 4 year old did that, and when I asked him pointedly why he always is making noise he said my brain tries to go to sleep if I don't. How astute. He's sitting next to me now on his own computer, tunelessly whistling, but it's soft. I'm sure she feels the same way. She's making audio noise so her brain is alert and functioning. Maybe you could get earplugs, or teach her to humm in a sweet way by humming with her?
Avatar m tn It seems that I have difficulty concentrating, focusing, thinking when I get too much sleep. For me too much sleep seems to be more than 6 hours sleep. However, if I don't get 7 or 8 hours of sleep then I am tired. If I get 8 hours of sleep then I am not tired, but then I have brain fog, like I'm half awake. I saw a sleep doctor and he didn't think that I had a sleep related problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Avatar m tn And sometimes when you have inadequate sleep, it could cause sleep debt and make you to sleep soundly. However, if it persists consult your doctor to rule out sleep disorders. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
Avatar f tn Drinking too much water rarely causes overhydration when the body's systems are working normally. On the other hand, people with heart, kidney, or liver disease are more likely to develop overhydration because their kidneys are unable to excrete water normally. It may be necessary for people with these disorders to restrict the amount of water they drink and/or adjust the amount of salt in their diets. Hope this helps!
Avatar m tn It may depend on the people you're talking with as to what 'hypothesis' is considered correct. In some cases weight gain can cause GERD. The added upward pressure on the stomach can over-ride the negative pressures in the thoracic cavity, and acid can easily move from stomach to esophagus. Others suggest that problems with the LES stems from a weakening of ligaments around the esophagus that hold a specific portion of the LES in place.
Avatar n tn That is very normal in the first trimester. I would sleep 12 hours and still feel tired. When your body gets used to the hormones you won't be feeling so tired. Second trimester is the BEST. You'll have energy and feel great.
Avatar f tn I've been the same way, I think it's either way. Some women can't get to sleep whereas others can and sleep even more than usual...

Avatar f tn I am getting concerned that I've been "put under" too many times. Once in Aug '08, Sept '08, Oct' 08 for breast cancer & port, once 7/09 for retina repair, and will be going under twice more for expander & augmentation this fall/winter.. I feel foggy sometimes & am wondering how much this affects me....will the effects go away in time.... any input? I figure chemo brain (fall '08) has something to do with it... just wondering.
Avatar n tn m not sure how much breast milk, but he has a drink 3times per day before arvo sleep and night sleep, and also about 100ml of whole milk in a cup a day. The weight and height i gave you were from his 1year old check approx 4months ago, so may be more by now. He eats all family meals and grazes all day.
