Common Questions and Answers about Too much protein stored as fat

protein

Avatar n tn s very difficult to eat THAT much protein on a daily basis! I would love to expiriement with a diet made up of 25% fat, 25% protein, and 50% carbs, although, I fear it will make me gain weight, which I am not looking to do. Some sources have stated that it's a matter of total calories, while others have emphasized high protein diets increasing the metabolism. I don't want to start gaining weight, but am curiouse as to what would come of redistributing my macronutrients?
1319721 tn?1276040968 So I google the side effect of too much dietary fiber and it said that if an individual have too much dietary fiber, then the individual will experience abdominal cramps, bloating, and etc., but I have none of it. I feel good when I eat fruits and vegetables and never knew there would be a limit on how much one can consume. So, is it bad to have too much dietary fiber? And does too much dietary fiber help in weight loss or speed up the metabolism?
Avatar f tn if you masturbate too much then the reason is mainly too much protein in-take and too much sex hormone production. To control hormone reduce in take of such hormone producing food and reduce protein in take. As you are growing now you must take protein but do not take more than required for your age. Excess protein is not stored as it happens with fat or carbohydrates (starch or sugar). Hence too much protein induce sexual activities.
Avatar f tn t eat, which is the same as non-vegetarians -- simple carbs, which turn to sugar quickly and are stored as fat if not burned. Many vegetarians around the world have a nice soft middle because they eat so much white flour and potatoes and the like. You need to make sure you get your protein. And then you need to exercise.
Avatar n tn Hi there, I would get a full check from an Endocrinologist. I had my hysterectomy in July and have gained about 4 kilogram(8.8 pounds) since the surgery. I found I put on most of this after the surgery when I was not able (and couldn't) do much. Mind you, I have joined the gym since and do high energy exercise and a bit of weight training. This has maintained my weight.
Avatar m tn Any nutrient (carbs, protein, and fats) intake that is increased and the body does not use it, it is stored in the body as fat. Suggest you start measuring your body instead of using a weight scale. You will become trimmer, clothes fitting looser, without really losing weight due to increased lean muscle mass. Recommend lower your glutamine or other protein intake. The body only needs approximately 70-80grams total protein intake (food and supplements) when you are exercising.
Avatar f tn Do some cardio and walk or even better run as much as possible. If u want to tone some part of your body u should do exercises for it. About period, u can exercise but not too much. It's very possible that working out on your period will lower the pain.
Avatar f tn Your second surgery was 2 yrs ago and your muscles are still not mended? It shouldn't take that long to heal from a surgery, if everything was done properly. It sounds like you'll have to work into exercise very slowly, in order to get full use of your muscles again, but of course, you can't do that without consent from your doctor. You might think about trying some yoga; it's not high impact and it centers on strengthening the core muscles...
Avatar n tn Those are simple carbs that are broken down quickly and if not used for energy right away, will be stored as fat for later use. Fill your plate with veggies, protein and healthy fats...
Avatar n tn At a point of time you would see that it gets difficult to shed the remaining fat and here the diet comes as an important factor and you have to squeeze the carbohydrates but never decrease it less than 30-40% of your diet while actively exercising. Continue some form of cardio in a regular manner for a healthy body all throughout your life. Take care!
Avatar f tn I am also wondering if some amount of Taxotere is being released as the stored fat is being burned through...
Avatar n tn Metabolism is much more important, which means how quickly the food you eat gets used or stored as fat.
Avatar m tn m eating per day. What I did notice, and since have changed, is that I was eating too much protein. My BG levels had crept up to 150 and I had started eating these low carb high protein bars as snacks. Once I stopped eating those my BG levels came down to the 130's. I have since reduce protein amounts and I'm seeing fasting numbers in the 120 and under range. Any one else experience higher BG levels with too much protein?
Avatar f tn If you engage in a high protein diet, your body will use stored body fat for energy as it will not have carbohydrates. Protein also enables you to stay fuller for longer. If you are going to eat carbohydrates, eat them separately as a snack, and avoid having them after 4pm. Avatar f tn t used for immediate energy is shuttled, by insulin right into fat cells to be stored for later use. The more often this happens, the fat we have stored and the harder it is to get rid of it. Bread, pizza, pancakes, white rice, white potatoes, all increase your blood glucose levels quickly, so if you don't used that sugar immediately, it will be stored as fat.
Avatar f tn t push too hard or the stress can effect your milk supply. Remember to drink as much water as possible and eat as much protein as you can, you are building your baby's muscles and baby needs that to grow strong and healthy. Above all, remember supply and demand! If your supply dips for any reason it does not mean "you are drying up" (that does not happen ever unless you stop or supplement with formula) it means you need to add more frequent feedings.
Avatar f tn Hi Lucy, I'm also a Lucy! OK, so cutting out meat (particularly lean meat like chicken) is pretty much the last thing you should be doing. You need that protein to protect your muscle while you lose weight (otherwise you'll just burn muscle, not fat, which slows your metabolism long-term) AND protein cannot be converted by the body into fat AND it prevents you from feeling hungry!
Avatar n tn It can either be stored in the liver as glycogen that is fat stored in your body to be used later when needed. Another way is that is gets used in building muscles, therefore you gain weight. Strength training exercises ensures that the weight you gaining are the muscles and not the fat getting stored. It is understandable if you think simply of it as a balance between energy taken in and energy used.
1007653 tn?1259385967 You are consuming a large amounts of protein and if your body does not need it, then it is stored as fat. Glad to see you are eating carbs which you need to increase. A carbohydrate (glucose) is the only ‘food’ the brain uses. Suggest decreasing the amount of protein you are eating to 100gm a day, due to your body building and increasing your carbohydrates (whole wheat pasta, brown rice, whole wheat breads, fruits, and vegetables).
