Common Questions and Answers about Too much protein results

protein

Avatar m tn m eating per day. What I did notice, and since have changed, is that I was eating too much protein. My BG levels had crept up to 150 and I had started eating these low carb high protein bars as snacks. Once I stopped eating those my BG levels came down to the 130's. I have since reduce protein amounts and I'm seeing fasting numbers in the 120 and under range. Any one else experience higher BG levels with too much protein?

Avatar m tn too much of anything is not good. Too exhaustive excersise can lower natural INF Moderate 30min cardio can increase it. Hep C causes insulin resistance in muscle. Excersise and healthy diet helps slowing this down.
1756475 tn?1330538713 Has anyone else been told that their protein levels were high? My blood pressure was still fine but they are concerned that my proteins were higher then what is the normal. I'm trying not to stress out over it because that makes your blood pressure go up but it's not helping out too much at the moment. I've actually been told most of my life that my protein levels were higher, any ideas how to reduce them too?
740516 tn?1360942486 Hi, there could be many causes of your cat being so quiet. First off, it's a good sign that she's still drinking and eating. Usually, when they're sick they hide and won't eat or drink. How long have you had her? How much weight has she put on? If she's eating a lot and not putting on much weight, it could be worms, diabetes, or overactive thyroid. Since she was a stray, the odds are that she has worms-especially, if she's thin but has a big belly.
Avatar n tn Well it can be dangerous, Although rare, people can have serious side effects and death due to consuming too much water. How much are you drinking daily?

Avatar f tn Yes I have had this since 21 wks and I'm currently 26 +1 and still have too much, just failed my glucose tolerance so it's more then likely caused by diabetes
Avatar f tn Sad to say that once we went to eat, I felt like my body had too much sugar, anything I ate, would make me feel as if I was eating sugar and everything tasted like the glucose drink! Is it normal to feel like this??
Avatar n tn Indigestion is generally thought to be due to too much acid. However the cause is often too little acid, so, when an antacid is taken for relief, it makes the condition worse. The next time you have an upset stomach try taking one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar. Nausea is common when lack of acid slows or halts digestion.
Avatar f tn m planning to lose another 5kgs through calorie control and exercising. Is this too much/an unhealthy amount? I have been told by my friends I'm becoming too skinny but I don't see it. And advise or comments are greatly appreciated.
Avatar n tn Just drink plenty of water, get rest and try to eat healthy with a little protein in each meal. Protein helps stabilize your blood sugar. You may want to get your blood sugar tested periodically for possible diabetes too. Just be careful now that you know how you react to sugar. I hope you feel better today!
Avatar n tn I need some help with some test results. I know I have protein in the urine; however, tests were completed that I haven't had done before so I don't have anything to compare them too. Can someone help me understand how/if these test results are out of the normal range, and if, so, how concerned I should be. I see the doctor in a couple of weeks. Protein UR (mg/dl) 641 Creat UR (mg/dl) 268.9 Protein/Creatinine Ratio 2.
Avatar m tn That said, both your Total T3 and Free T4 are low in the range. Since the ranges are too broad to be functional ranges, results in the low end of the ranges are consistent with having hypo symptoms. Along with your symptoms, this indicates that you do need to reduce the med. Since your doctor indicated he plans to reduce or eliminate the med in November, why wait until then? There are no natural alternatives, just request that you med be reduced.
Avatar f tn Last Monday 30th June I went to my gp cause I was getting too much cramps and also in pain in my right hand. Also my back was hurting as well which I told my gp about. She told me that we don't know it is but thinking of sending u for a blood test. She ask me if I check for arthritis and also checked my notes on computer to see it I check for arthritis blood test. On my notes it said nothing about arthritis blood test and so was gave a form for blood test.
Avatar f tn I think your symptoms are coming more from your very low FT3 than they are from your somewhat high FT4. FT3 is the test that correlates best with symptoms. T4 is the "storage" form of the thyroid hormones. It's only when it's converted to T3 that your body can use it, and with your FT3 level, it's obvious you're converting very little. It takes 4-6 weeks for the new dose to stabilize in your blood, but it doesn't happen evenly over that time period.
Avatar f tn How much tuna are you aloud to eat I need more protein in my diet doctors think I maybe getting diabetes this time around but to early for them to check so anyways just wondering I don't want to eat to much!
Avatar f tn re trying to accomplish. Too much protein is bad for your kidneys, too little is bad for growth and recovery from exercise. The above suggests certain people "need" a specific amount of protein, but that's not true if health is your goal -- different people will react differently and different conditions require different amounts. So there is no exact answer.
