Avatar m tn m eating per day. What I did notice, and since have changed, is that I was eating too much protein. My BG levels had crept up to 150 and I had started eating these low carb high protein bars as snacks. Once I stopped eating those my BG levels came down to the 130's. I have since reduce protein amounts and I'm seeing fasting numbers in the 120 and under range. Any one else experience higher BG levels with too much protein?

Did you know if you drink coffee after a meal the caffeine redirects your blood supply away from your intestines completely blocking digestion.?? The nutrients protein vitamins never get absorbed so you basically turn the food into poop. Another thing a learned the hard way is simply accepting the fact that I cannot digest fat greasy foods.
Avatar m tn too much of anything is not good. Too exhaustive excersise can lower natural INF Moderate 30min cardio can increase it. Hep C causes insulin resistance in muscle. Excersise and healthy diet helps slowing this down.

Avatar n tn You can try drinking a herbal ginger tea to help settle the nausea. Helped abit for me. Also try snacking on saltine crackers so your stomach doesn't stay completely empty... I lost about 20lbs when I first got pregnant, and am having a healthy pregnancy now at 29wks. Small sips of water to keep hydrated is also a good idea. Pedialyte is another good one to boost your electrolytes or watered down gatorade. hope you feel better soon!

I cant eat anything without feeling queezy afterwards and even water tastes absolutely disgusting. What can i do to lower my chances of throwing up everytime i eat or drink anything.??

4053085 tn?1350154547 Too much water is only a problem if you a) drink a lot in a short amount of time & b) do not let your body rid it ( i. e. urinating). As Ben stated above, a gallon of water in 24 hours is not nearly enough to cause water poisoning. I don't think you have anything to worry about. 12 days is an awesome accomplishment! Avatar n tn So, your providers are correct to mention the weight gain to you. You may feel swollen, and you probably are retaining water, but much of the weight is probably NOT water. Unfortunately! One bit of advice for reducing swelling is to go swimming or soak in a bathtub. This will help to bring the fluid back into your circulation and then out your kidneys. It is only a temporary fix, but you can do it every day. Good luck!

What helped me and what I suggest for you is this: Exercise. Your doc is right. And it's been long and ancient knowledge that even 30 minutes of moderate exercise (jogging, going for a brisk walk) releases endorphines and other "happy hormones" that keep your body functioning at its best.

You can always talk to you doctor about it and see what he thinks about the weight gain and any recommendations he/she has. I know for me, around 20w I started to just be REALLY hungry!
