Avatar m tn m eating per day. What I did notice, and since have changed, is that I was eating too much protein. My BG levels had crept up to 150 and I had started eating these low carb high protein bars as snacks. Once I stopped eating those my BG levels came down to the 130's. I have since reduce protein amounts and I'm seeing fasting numbers in the 120 and under range. Any one else experience higher BG levels with too much protein?

Avatar f tn The liver is our bodies filter - so anything that may be harmful is filtered through that organ. Harmful properties cause wear and tear on the liver - but it's a tough organ (for most of us). Gabapentin (Neurontin) can cause fatigue, somnolence and dizziness. As Remar said Gabapentin is generally cleared by the renal system and rarely - if at all effects the liver.
Avatar m tn too much of anything is not good. Too exhaustive excersise can lower natural INF Moderate 30min cardio can increase it. Hep C causes insulin resistance in muscle. Excersise and healthy diet helps slowing this down.
Avatar m tn I thought it was healthy (or at least relatively harmless), but I read that too much tea causes excess fluoride to build up in the thyroid gland. Am I drinking too much? I know of the danger of dehydration with caffeine, but I make sure that I am properly hydrated so that isn't a problem.
Avatar f tn You can get protein fr a lot of different sources than just a protein shake. Beans, Greek yogurt, cheese, almond milk, etc. be careful w too many protein shakes bcuz of added unnecessary calories & too many protein shakes/bars can make you constipated.
Avatar n tn nellies is right, too much O2 isn't good for your husband because he will eventually become more and more dependent on it and it would be tough to wean it down. However, turning from 2 liter to 3 liter when he really needs it is probably not as harmful as leaving him there short of breath. I would recommend purchasing a pulse oximeter to monitor his O2 level.

I cant eat anything without feeling queezy afterwards and even water tastes absolutely disgusting. What can i do to lower my chances of throwing up everytime i eat or drink anything.??

Avatar n tn Chicken and eggs are great sources of protein and you don't have to worry about eating too much of either during pregnancy. Just make sure both are cooked thoroughly. Eggs can't be left runny.

Avatar m tn Perhaps you are eating too many carbs or too much sugar at breakfast? I suggest, from experience, making sure you eat some protein for breakfast. If you can I suggest eggs etc. or my personal favorite for weekday going to work mornings--a Zone bar. They are portable and high in protein!
