1363883 tn?1278861899 your weight can fluctuate by quite a few lbs during the day depending on what youve eaten and drank, and in the morning after giving your body a chance to digest and eliminate, you will be at your lightest weight, which i find to motivate me wayyy more! as for the kind of scale, ive found even the cheapest scales are fairly accurate. my scale only cost me $30 and only varies by like a tenth of a pound from the scale at the doctors!
1127396 tn?1329324816 I have both kinds of scale at home. I weight my self in the mornings before I shower. I cant see too far. I can tell while using my regular scale that I lost a few more lbs. I weight in something between 205 and 200...It look to have been closer to the 200. Well I was so excited to know the exact amount I lost....so I brought down my digital scale. BUT it reads 198.8...what scale do you think would be more accurate. Wednesdays are my weight in days. So I need to to which I should trust more.
Avatar m tn It happens usually during night. Along with this i get light muscle contraction on my tongue, on a scale its 1/10. I started getting both of these after i started walking an hour a day. Along with these, i also get pulse sensation on my biceps of both arms. I can see my a small part biceps beating like heart. It's not always not on biceps. Sometimes it appears on my legs too, its hard to specify where, but usually thighs or ankle. I also get this near shoulder joint.
Avatar f tn Anyone else weigh themselves at home and get a completely different number when you step on the scale at the doctors office.. Ahh it bothers me. Past pregnancys I have gained 40lbs and I'm trying to control how much I gain this time around. pre pregnancy I was 150 (according to MY scale). I weigh myself on a daily basis and have been at 152 for awhile (ill be 15 weeks tomorrow). Well I went to the doctors and stepped on their digital scale and got 158.
Avatar n tn I have been fine until about a month ago, a little weight gain on the belly and hips, tired, just not feeling right. Is it possible the 150 mcg will help? can going up just that little amount help? How long will it take? Is the weight gain usually bloat and water retention? I know my body pretty well and I knew something needed to be adjusted. To be honset I think she was wrong 7 months ago , maybe confused by the tsh readings. When I spoke to her last night, she thought I was still on 150mcg!
1107684 tn?1448828430 ve losted inches, and weight, just by the way I look and the way my clothes fit! I feel so much better! But, I get on the scale and it shows I gain 2lbs! Must be the scale cuz. I've been watching what I put in my mouth and I walk 1 hour, every morning or evening. I don't get it. Could it be muscle gain? I just had AF a couple of weeks ago so it's not water weight? HMMMM! Any ideas? Am thinking that maybe I shouldn't use a scale at all, kinda bought me down!
Avatar f tn Muscle is your friend... however, make sure your strength training (weight lifting) is utilizing low weight and high repetitions... you most likely do not want to bulk up.
Avatar n tn You should if you are concerned about your weight although working out when pregnant is more of a health thing than a lose weight thing.
Avatar f tn Next time pay attention to how the nurse takes your weight. Mine uses a triple beam scale where you move the pieces back and forth and she's not exactly careful about it so I'm sure it's off. Hers says I've gained 3 lbs and mine says I've lost 3 this last month. I've been weighing myself weekly at home with a digital scale and tracking it on here so that's the one I trust. If your doctor gives you grief, bring it up and show her your tracking.
3556225 tn?1356371040 Was it your scale or the doctors scale that said you lost 5lbs? If it was your scale, it's probably different from your doctors scale, if it was your doctors, I wouldn't worry about it because if you're eating healthier and are plus size chances are you're going to lose weight, even women that aren't plus size that change their diets to healthier diets while pregnant lose weight, it's normal!
567793 tn?1219048662 alright im almost 19. and i know im over weight; but how much should an average girl weight at 19 years old who is 5'5?
172023 tn?1334672284 I read this some time ago. It changed the way I look at the numbers on the scale, and convinced me not to weigh every day. http://www.healthdiscovery.net/articles/scale_lies.htm (here's the article for those who can't get to the addie) Why The Scale Lies by Renee Cloe, ACE Certified Personal Trainer We’ve been told over an over again that daily weighing is unnecessary, yet many of us can’t resist peeking at that number every morning.
Avatar f tn How much weight has everyone gained?? Im almost 13 weeks and when I went to the doctors the other day it said .8 lbs.....just stepped on the scale and think im close to 2lbs.....could that happen in 2 days!!!??
Avatar f tn Just wondering how much your all weighing now?i just stepped on the scale after some time, and i've put on 6pounds,totally freaked out lol.it's so scary stepping on the scales!really do not want to put on too much weight.
3055148 tn?1368211800 Is this even possible I had my baby girl Thursday and my scale says Ive already lost 20 lbs. This qui k?
Avatar f tn Yes, its common in anxiety and depression to have weight loss or gain. Some gains weight due to emotional eating in stress. I suggest you to take proper meals, make sure your diet include complete nutrition, do some exercise daily to stay fit and healthy. Don't measure weight more frequently, only 1 or 2 times in a month.
Avatar n tn As long as your doctor says baby is growing fine then don't worry. Lots of women only gain like 10 lbs and have very healthy babies.
Avatar f tn If you have lost that much weight in a couple weeks something is WAY wrong. One week is even worse! If your scale is zeroed out go somewhere else and weigh yourself and see what it says. If they are the same call your doc.
4444857 tn?1383325813 Yesterday I went to my regular appointment with the midwife, and I was soo nervous to see if I gained anything because its hard for me to gain weight. Well, I stepped on the scale and I gained 7 pounds since my 18 week checkup! :) wooo I feel so happy lol, anyone else happy to be gaining weight?
Avatar f tn Hi!don't focus on the scale focus on your jeans and shirts! How they fit! You could be loosing fat and gaining muscle. That's why the scale numbers are not changing!!
5837857 tn?1411577085 I mever getbthe same scale. Once she thought I had lost weight but next appt showed major gain.
Avatar f tn t suddenly noticed that you could not get your clothes to fit (and I think you would have noticed it), I would suggest either something is wrong with the scale or you had a reading error when reading the scale yesterday. (Were you also suddenly up yesterday or is it just that you are suddenly down today?) How long have you had the scale? Was it expensive or cheap in the first place? Does it have little markers you can slide around the dial to mark where you were the previous day?
Business woman1 Water weight plays a large role when you look at a scale weight. For example, when a person goes on a low carbohydrate diet they will lose weight very quickly, there will be fat loss and water loss. If you look at the word carbohydrate...the word hydrate is attached to the word. So our scale weights are intimately tied to our carbohydrate consumption. When someone loses 7 lbs in 7 days, it is physiologically impossible for that to be all fat. So how much of that is water, fat, muscle etc..
Avatar f tn I've had anorexia nervosafor almost three years, and I'm in recovery. Is it possible to gain 5 lbs in 3 days? I was not stuffing my face or sitting on my ***, I'm just hoping the scale was off because this is giving me a lot of anxiety.
Avatar f tn I have to disagree with the weight scale on the app. I am 35 + 2 and the "excessive" has shown for weeks now. I have gained 30lbs so far and even though I don't look like it the app makes me feel like a fat cow....lol.
Avatar f tn Embrace it? Lol. I'm almost 32 wks and have gained 25 so I know how you feel but if you're healthy and baby is healthy that's what matters most. You might try buying some new clothes too. I didn't want to buy anymore new stuff this close to being done but found some really cute tops at H&M that weren't the frumpy black or neutrals that most maternity wear comes in and it really helped boost my self boost my self image.
