Avatar n tn Hello my name is Jason, I have a girlfriend who has bad breath. Her bad breath only comes around every couple weeks but can last anywhere from a day to a week. The breath is very strong and makes me not want to be near her. She went to a doctor and asked them about it and they said that she may have had bronchitis to much as a kid and now has grooves or dips that food gets caught in, in her throat.
Avatar f tn I don't have an answer, but I feel very bad for you because I also have EXACTLY the same kind of problem that you have and it's very, very discouraging. The only thing that I hope may be of some help to you is if you find that you have a whitish film on your tongue - I was told this is plaque (nothing we can do to stop it, tho!) and to keep removing it with a tongue scraper. (I do this and am always running into the bathroom to do it every so often, which I hate!
Avatar f tn The odor is usually caused by decaying food particles and bacteria in your mouth. You can improve bad breath with proper dental hygiene. If simple self care techniques don't solve the problem, you may want to see your dentist or doctor to be sure a more serious condition isn't causing your bad breath.
Avatar f tn t want to contradict mammo , there is another major problem, which is overlooked, could be due to individuals that have dry mouth, who usualy also have a slow digestion, and when you drink milk or milk products, will have bad breath. You must have a big cavity, that food gets stuck in it , to give you bad breath. Also a crown, that the cement is partially gone, brush and floss cannot get to, also can give you bad breath .
Avatar f tn I have extreme bad breath. I brush, floss, use mouthwash, scrape tongue and still there is odor. I think it's coming from my digestive tract. My mouth is clean but my gut stinks. Help.
Avatar n tn What is a good way to prevent bad breath, I brush my teeth and use mouthwash. I brush my tongue and floss.I stand a little further from people because I don't want them to smell my breath or smell theirs. I think bad breath gives a person questions about their hygene.I look on tv and all around and people talk so close to each other without that fear.Is there something out there to make me feel confident. Thank you. p.s i don't have any gum diseases. only 2 cavities.
Avatar n tn how can I avoid bad breath.
Avatar n tn Is this the culprit or are there any other reasons that I should take care of to sort out his bad breath? Your advice will be appreciated.
Avatar f tn s why they call it that. Bad breath is mostly related to not flossing. Coating on the tongue is usually plaque. You may want to start flossing every day and scrap your tongue with a tongue scraper and see if the bad breath goes away. You could even rinse with a mouthwash; I like the Natural Dentist mouthwash but you have to get that at a healthfood store. When you eat certain foods does your tongue sting? Like with acidic foods, ie pineapple, tomatoes, etc...if so, classic geographic tongue.
Avatar m tn If you would like information for bad breath and post nasal drip (possibly, from the fliud coming into your throat) i would suggest that you visit the following web site, they have helped me with my tinnitus problem. Avatar m tn For the past six weeks the whole top portion (dorsal) of my tongue is evenly white and can not be wiped off. Weird taste in mouth, but I don't believe it is accompanied with bad breath. The only unprotected sex I have is oral. All other sites indicate HIV. I've been brushing my tongue, but that doesn't work. I am very fit and no other symptoms at all, except maybe mild toenail fungus that I have had for years. realizing you can not diagnose, is this an onset to HIV?
Avatar f tn I was wondering has anyone found a cure for Chronic Bad Breath. I have used Dr. Katz and Oxyfresh and still no luck. Please help....
Avatar n tn Does anyone get patm reactions when they breathe? I suffer from bad breath, but it’s not coming out of my mouth, but from my posterior wall of the pharynx or esophagus. I rinse my throat with antibacterial solutions, but it still doesn’t help, cause the source of the smell is located deeper. I don’t have tonsillitis. My smell is very sour, like a kefir. I also had and cured gastritis, but it didn’t help. I still get reactions like coughing, itchy eyes, stomachaches and etc.
Panda I'm a working professional and have terrible bad breath. I've seen my dentist and they performed the required cleanings but cannot pinpoint where the odor is coming from. My family, co-workers and clients are put off when I try to talk at a distance or turn my head when talking. I've become so self conscious about my bad breath that I now feel paranoid when talking to people.
Avatar f tn 300. I have been on B12 under the tongue lozenges for 3 days and my shortness of breath and many or my other symptons are gone! Still early to tell if it was the B12, but one web site mentioned Shortness of breath as a symptom of B12 deficiency. Just a thought.
Avatar m tn I've had a white coated tongue for as long as I can remember (since 4th grade, and I'm 16 now). The main problem I have with this isn't the hairy tongue itself, but the bad breath caused by it. I am very healthy (I exercise and eat little sugar and many fruits and veggies etc..). If I'm not chewing gum, especially after I eat, I can almost taste my bad breath.
Avatar n tn This has been happening for three days now. The whole day I have sour/bad breath and it doesn't go away with brushing or gum or mouthwash? What is it????
Avatar f tn For the past 2 years I have bad chronic bad breath. I have tried everything- I brush my teeth 2-3 times a day, floss, have used mouthwash, gargled salt water, use tongue cleaners, eat mints and chew gum, etc. I've noticed I have a thin white layer coating my tongue in various places. Nothing will get it off! I will literally scrape at it forever. Having a bad taste in my mouth has not been fun for the past 2 years. Just to interact I have to chew gum 24/7.
