ve been negative. I have very dry eyes, some joint pain and ulcers that come and go in my throat (just beyond the tongue), and have lost my energy, always tired but do not sleep well. Is sjogrens tough to diagnose through bloodwork? I'm tired of all the doctors and they probably feel the same way! Help...

Understand your predicament. But persistent oral ulcers could be due to systemic causes like pemphigus vulgaris, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) and malignancy. Pemphigus vulgaris can cause non healing oral ulcers with systemic lesions. They could also be due to certain autoimmune disorders or medications. A biopsy may help. Please discuss this with your doctor am sure he will provide further assistance.

Mouth(sores(painful) and tongue sores(painless),dry eyes that burn, are red, feel dry and irritated and hurt a lot.They feel like something's in them and my eyes are always tired/worn out feeling like they've been overused, but they haven't been. My eyes are also giving me vision problems(blurriness,SEVERE sensitivity to light-both sunlight and fluorescent light, and constant floaters) along with the pain and irritation.Severe muscle and joint pain everywhere on body.
My main problem is that I have something like tongue ulcers, white and dry tongue in the mornings. Like white lines most in the tip of my tongue, and they are worse in the mornings.
So I got a gastroscopy and was diagnosed with Pylori. They gave me Omez + amox + clarithromycin for 10 days...
So my "mouth problems" symptoms went away while I was taking clarithromycin for pylori but after I ended my treatment for they came back! Thats it.
It started on one spot on the front side of my tongue and it eventually spread across and into the palate and gum area. Some days are worse than others, but none are pain free. The top of my palate has little bumps and also down the back side of my mouth. I also get what appears to be some kind of cankers or oral ulcers. They start as a small white spot and then it gets bigger and bigger each day.
I have both mouth ulcers and geographic tongue. I also have numerous other symptoms but when I was younger I was right where you have been recently. I developed rectal/vaginal ulcers and doctors thought herpes however. Then rashes diagnosed as psoriasis but biopsy was negative. Oral ulcers were canker sores. Now fast-forward years and I now have doctors looking into Behcet's. Lupus and other autoimmune or autoinflammatory conditions cause these problems.
Then just a few days ago I got these slightly painful ulcers on my front gums, top and bottom, but they were very small in appearance and hard to see.
I went to an internal medicine MD who said looks like leukoplakia or could be fungus.
I saw an ENT doctor who didn't know what it was, but prescribed an oral steroid cream for the ulcers. It helped with the ulcers, but nothing else.
I honestly don't know. I had sex with somebody while drunk and I don't think we used a condom. I can't ask him as I don't have his info. Classy eh ! 2 weeks after I get 6 ulcers on my tongue that just won't go, my tongue feels on fire. I read that mouth ulcers where a symptom of ARS and I freaked out.
Are they? I know I need to test and I will but these ulcers are worrying me a lot.
m 35 weeks today, the past few weeks my tongue has developed these little ulcers.. ALL (ob, family and dentist) my doctors say they are normal with pregnancy and will go away on their own..
How many other mama's are going through this? & is there something you do aside from watching what you eat, to help?

I got my tongue pierced about a year and half ago, but I have suddenly got a lot of ulcers in around my mouth and my tongue and gums are swollen and i just wanted to know if that had anything to do with my tongue piercing. my tongue piercing looks pretty normal apart from the fact that my tongue is swollen and the end of it is numb and funny feeling as if i've burnt the to of it.
Thanks for the replies, yes JJ I get the ulcers on my tongue (not anywhere else) just on my tongue and my glands get swollen and my throat becomes sore, then they disappear only to return again.
To Dochiru I went off my meds due to constipation but unfortunately now I am off the bladder meds I am having issues again!! So I fixed one problem but the old one is back (groan)! I was taking Vesicare for burning and bladder spasms and urgency and Gabapentin for nerve pain.
4 months ago I performed oral sex to a man without eyaculation or pre cum, he was urinating a minute before and his penis was barely erected and oral was for not more than 15 or 20 seconds. 2 months later I had faringitis, fever (38 degrees) and 2 ulcers on my tongue and my lips .All this lasted 1 week but nowadays I still have a little hole in my tongue where one the ulcers were. its like a little tiny scar. I'm 31 and female w/a 13 year history of Lupus. I was diagnosed w/CNS lupus 9 years ago. A year ago in june following abdominal surgery I got the worst headache I've ever had. I was hospitalized for 9 days. The only thing that helped the headaches a little was Decadron. The headaches continued for 7 months. In Jan of 2008 my lupus flared and I was gived IV"d solumedrol 6 grams. My headache went 100% away. I also started cytoxan chemotherapy.
also i was at my dentist the other day and mentioned about my ulcers and tongue and he requested that i had a full blood count which i get the results for on monday! i know this couldnt detect hiv but surely it will give a good indication if someting is going on ??

on december 2012 i had an ulcer all over my mouth most of them on and under my tongue and it was very painful. im having difficulty eating and drinking. i went to the local clinic and the doctor told me it was herpes by looking at it, and gave me acyclovir 200g 4x a day for a week it cured my ulcers before the week is finished. on june 2013 i have another ulcers outbreak this time with a fever and its only on top and under my tongue. its mild compare to the first outbreak.
I found out that I was Positive for herpies 2 have had a continues outbreak going on 7 weeks. With ulcers and severe burning to my tongue and throat. I just completed nystatin for thrush and 4 weeks of valtrex. I have had no relief from the symptoms. I am also on doxycyline and havee lupus. Has anypne else experience these symptoms?
Symptoms include headaches, joint pain, fatigue, muscle pain and cramps, neuropathy (numb/tingling/burning), dry mouth and eyes, mouth ulcers, low immunity. Doc is investigating for primarily MS but also looking at Lupus and Sjogren's Syndrome. Wish this wasn't such a long process to either dx or rule out.
