Tongue twisters kindergarten

Common Questions and Answers about Tongue twisters kindergarten

tongue

Avatar m tn Today I am 19, and I have trouble speaking 100% and words/sentences end up being tongue twisters for me. It makes me unconfident when I want to ask a question knowing I probably wouldn't be able to say it right. It's like when I speak my tongue kind of trips itself, or better say that it gets "stiff". The sentences that I really have problems with saying usually include alliteration in them, or that.
1415711 tn?1286281354 My wife thinks I am out of my mind at this point. I am constantly checking the strength of my tongue and practicing tongue twisters to make sure I dont have any weakness or atrophy. I have no problems eating or drinking. But despite it all I still cannot shake this tense clumsy feeling in my tongue thats stemming from under my chin. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar f tn Wowza! Real tongue twisters! I have a Carson and a Dawson and often call them Darson in a fluster! If you like the rhythm of those names with the "y" spelling, than Dylan is real cute! You could choose Dawson and spell it, Dasyn. I believe this is a Native American spelling, but it does follow your theme!
Avatar n tn my daughter is 4 years old her date of birth is sep 10 04 can i send her to kindergarten next year not this year because she did not go to preschool and i think that she is not ready to go this year
237053 tn?1258828426 Went to see my GP today for my sore mouth. He didn't say ANYTHING about an oral yeast infection... He knows I'm being treated for lyme and that I've been on abx, but didn't say yeast. He is checking me for something else that can cause sore tongue (I can't remember the name of it though) or he said it very well be just part of having lyme. He said it can wreck havoc literally anywhere. This dr is a new dr on base and is supposebly my new PCM.
Avatar f tn I've read up that by toughening up your nipples you can stand in the sun for about 5min every day so that the uv rays can penetrate your skin, and not through a window. I'll be 36weeks on Friday and will start doing that everyday before baba gets here. Don't use any chemicals as this won't help, try not to moisturise the nipples too much as it will soften it up and make sure to give your nipples enough ventilation.
Avatar n tn t listen, is aggressive, pushes and shriek al day long. His kindergarten teacher also complaint about him not listening. What can we do to solve his problem. Is there a medicine he can use to calm him down?
11358238 tn?1430409963 Hi, I am RN and I specialize in cosmetic services. I am a LHR provider and it is very true that you can not laser while pregnant as there have never been any studies done on pregnant women and the effects of lasering while pregnant. However, once your bundle of joy is her you can start treatments back regardless of your breastfeeding status as it is not a contraindication.
Avatar f tn He recently started all day kindergarten which has been another nightmare. I received a call from the teacher stating he had grabbed her arm following a heated arguement about throwing a cup in the garbage. I have used several different tactics in order to deal with his unruly behaviors ie: taking away tv time, time outs, threatening to throw toys away, spending time in his room, going to bed early, talking to him about the problem, etc.
Avatar f tn My son will be six on the 28th of this month and has recently started Kindergarten. The Kindergarten experience has turned into a nightmare for me. We cannot go a day without a negative report from his teacher - he refuses to listen, disrupts the class, takes down things hanging on walls, bulletin boards, etc.., and has just yesterday cut a classmates hair.
Avatar n tn He has been in a school environment since he was three and is now in Kindergarten and an afterschool program. At one point, I could have called him the perfect child behaviorally, well mannered, smart, kind, had lots of friends, etc. Within the last year I have noticed some real changes, he lacks confidence and is very sensitive, is very hard on himself, and sometimes exhibits high anxiety.
Avatar m tn Hi I have posted some earlier problems regarding my son in kindergarten. His teacher is quite critical of him in the classroom, says that he does not pay attention and cannot work independantly. I have been lucky enough to help out in the classroom and observe him at the same time. He can be a little inattentive but is quiet and competes the work if it is of interest to him. His teacher rarely gives him any praise for good behaviour or work,, but will give certain other kids praise all the time.
Avatar m tn Well, one of the kids just did not work out in one of the kindergarten classes-- it just did not work. This K teacher was the same teacher of all prior 6 kids in this family had for K-- but this last one, well-- nope. Not a bad kid, not a bad teacher-- just a bad fit, apparently. You know what? He was moved to another class room in April of the school year-- based on agreement with the principal. It worked out fine. Things improved for the child very quickly.
Avatar m tn My daughter has suffered this past year from sensory issues--her clothes don't feel good. We can go days where we can't leave the house because nothing feels good to wear. She was in preschool and i was at home with her so when push came to shove we didn't have to do things most days. I ended up correlating the sensory issue with ear infections. we would treat the ears and she would be back to a happy kid.
Avatar f tn My son is 5 and is in Kindergarten. Just has his annual meeting for his IEP which was integrated with his parent/teacher conference. He's been in speech therapy for the passed two years. Good news, he's on track with his speech and he is on track academically; Not so great news, he's a rigid, disruptive student, who needs constant prompting to stay on task. Examples of rigidity: Must be last in line. Must sit in certain spot on carpet.
Avatar n tn Just spoke to my daughter's kindergarten teacher and she is concerned about our 5 year old. She has days that she seems to be in her own world. They'll be lining up for music and she'll be zoned out in a book or looking at something in the classroom. Sometimes she'll be in the meandering in the hallway at her locker before school while the other kids are already sitting on the rug in the classroom.
Avatar f tn My 5 year old son is in kindergarten. He attended preschool/daycare for 3 years. He is very bright however his teacher complains that he doesn't follow directions and sends him to the principal's office. By the time he gets to the office he forgets why he was sent there. What can I do? I feel that the teacher should be more proactive and immediate in discipline in the class room. He tells me often that "Mrs. Blank was mad at me".
Avatar n tn My son has attended pre-school since he was 2 slowly working up to 4 days a week from 9-1 last year. He was extremely excited about going to Kindergarten asking throughout the summer is it was time yet. After the first day he had what we felt was probably very normal feelings about it - doesn't like it, says its boring, all that. A few days later he started crying as soon as he wakes up and my husband leaves him in his class crying. He cries on and off throughout the day.
Avatar m tn I am a kindergarten teacher and have taught in some extremely difficult urban schools. I have seen pretty much everything. My first guess is the teacher is fairly new to teaching 5 and 6 year olds. I say that because, parents are not usually the source of the resolution to the problem. Any good K level teacher knows the answer lies within. Firstly these kids are 5 and 6, and early Kindergartners to boot. Impulsivity and chattyness is par for the course.
Avatar f tn Some have been at home with mom their entire preschool years and some have been in preschool/mini kindergarten for a couple of years. So in kindergarten, you get a wide range of kids with different abilities and experience that they must be prepared to handle. Is your son on the young side for kindergarten as he is still 5 in May? Is he a summer birthday? A child can be academically prepared but not developmentally mature enough for kindergarten. Do you think this is going on?
Avatar n tn so basically it is a smaller kindergarten with less demands then kindergarten more free time.
Avatar n tn 3.5 year olds rarely go to kindergarten. Do you mean preschool? If so, most pre-k programs help ease children's anxiety about attending. Parents can usually sit-n for a period of time. Have you met with the teacher and program director? What have they said?
892919 tn?1241388839 My son is 5 years old and currently in kindergarten. Since Oct.08 my child has regularly received disciplinary referrals for his "hands on" behavior. 10/22/08-Bryce pushed another student on the ground during class. 10/30/08-Bryce was trying to cut his neighbors hair with his scissors. 11/14/08-Bryce, again, was attempting to cut his neighbors hair. 12/12/08-Bryce hit Hannah in the mouth during an argument over a truck outside.
Avatar m tn That he should do junior kindergarten and then kindergarten. The reason being is his fine motor skills are not where they need to be and he does not know his letters well enough. I have no issue holding him back but he is a feb. birthday and he will be so much older than the rest of his class. I am having him evaluated to see if he qualifies for services but do not know what to do about placement.
Avatar n tn d think long and hard about sending them into kindergarten as maturity is a huge factor at that age. Your son is in class with some kids that are probably a full year older than him. Our school says that whether a child is academically ready is not what they look at when deciding kindergarten readiness. They look at social and developmental maturity. This makes sense to me. Your son will be a totally different kid a year from now.
Avatar f tn wow thank you so much for the input "specialmom" that really helps & i honestly appreciate the feedback! Can i say i just love that kindergarten quote "if your child comes to kindergarten knowing all the answers, they didn't spend enough time in the sandbox."!
Avatar f tn Yes your baby will be turning 6 in kindergarten!
Avatar n tn Going from Kindergarten to the 1st Grade is different for young children. Their days are longer and the work is more challenging. How was his kindergarten teacher vs. his 1st grade teacher? Do they have different teaching styles? How about his class size, is it larger than his kindergarten class? Alot of factors can come into play.
