Someone must know more about those white spots that look like inflamed taste buds that HURT! They erupt periodically and are SOOOO PAINFUL. I was in so much pain today that I took sharp clippers and niped a couple off. I could not stand the pain. I figured if the things hurt to touch they would not hurt if they were not there. They appear out of no where and seem to last forever. The kids and I get them all the time. it is driving us crazy. Other people must get them.
this has happened ever since i was very young but i've never had a white coating on my tongue before. My tongue doesn't hurt the canker sores cause a little irritation.
A few weeks after being on the antibiotics, I got a really foul taste in my mouth and noticed my tongue is coated in white that won't scrape off, with red spots (not sores). There's no pain, just like a weird feeling on my tongue. I have read this can be a side effect of the antibiotic, but when I googled the symptom of white coated tongue and bad breath, I saw all these hsv1 pages pop up, and of course, got paranoid once again, because I kissed someone a few days prior.
I have some spots on my tongue that are very painful. They are white with a red outline, about the size of the old plastic pin heads. I do not smoke or drink. I do have my tongue pierced but have had it pierced for almost 8 years now and have never had these spots before. The spots started out as just one, now there are 2 bigger ones and 3-4 tiny ones, just little specks. The bigger ones are the ones that hurt, hurts to eat and talk because the bumps rub on my teeth.
I have white tongue with white spots that come off easily on my tongue during the day and in the morning the tongue is completely white. it goes all the way back. .im diabetic. I also have splitting nails that won't stop splitting and seem to have a fungi under the nail. My scalp seems to be scaling too. I am freaking out! heLP! The right side of my tongue where the scars are located. First my tongue turns a terrible white, dry color, and then I get a bright red bald patches over the entire right side of my tongue. it is absolutely disgusting. The reason why I am starting to become more concerned about it is because, aside from the way it looks, it use to be that I would get the patches every couple of months. Maybe three times a year, for a couple of days.
About 2 weeks ago my husband noticed some spots on the side and top of his tongue. They seemed to have gone away then the one on top came back just a few days later pretty much in the same spot. Yesterday another one poped up on the border of his tongue. it seemed to get big fast. it looks like a bare spot with a white border but it not as red as the top spot. Could this be geographical tongue or something more serious like tongue cancer? he did visit the dentist and they feel it's GT.
it doesn't come & go..it just keeping developing. I do smoke & quit last week. I also have a white coating on the back of my tongue & canker sores on the tip. I haven't been to the dentist because I'm so scared.
I have gotten these sores on my tongue for the past few years. At first, they were very rare, maybe once every year or even less. But within the past year they have gotten more common. I had one a couple weeks ago near the back of my tongue on the edge. I visited a doctor and had a biopsy done, the results came back inconclusive. That was the second biopsy I've done for the problem and both times the results have come back inconclusive, stating that the sores are just ulcers and are benign.
I know that I had a little white on it before but now it is alot worse and I noticed white spots in my throat. I have been very stressed over the possiblilty of getting HIV. what are the chances this is a sign of HIV. I have only given oral sex to TS and he only stuck his penis in my anus for a few seconds at a time. Also I had my penis in his for just a few seconds also.
//www.medhelp.org/user_photos/show/159241 That is my tongue. I am now scraping the hell out of my mouth and tongue... creating big sores. About 1 month after the test I develop white streaks along the border of my tongue that get really bad and thick and then go away and then come back off and on for about a month. Then my cheeks turn whiteish and feel rough. I haven't noticed anything on my tongue really for a couple of months now but the cheek thing is still there. The problem is ALWAYS way worse in the morning.

More that one year ago, some white spots appeared on my upper gums. The dentist I had, cut tem. About 3 months later, appeared again. Then, he did the same. I changed a dentist. The new dentist sent me to a Gums Specialist. The gums were cleaned. This specialist sent me to a Hospital to see another specialist. In the second visit they made a bioxis and 2 weeks later, I was told that it wasn't so serios. They recomended me to use a cream, twice a day.

My tonsiliths stopped reoccurring a short time after I started this process. About 5 months ago, I started experiencing small eroded sores on the sides of my tongue where my tongue touches my teeth, near the back of my mouth. These patches have persisted to this day. In the beginning, it was typically just 1 small sore at a time.
I have 3 pinpoint-sized, bright / stark white spots on my cheek and gums. These white spots do NOT have a red perimeter around them like typical cancor sores do. These areas (cheek and gums) have improved dramatically since starting the ketoconazole. it is difficult to say whether or not my tongue has improved. Before starting the ketoconazole, I was waking up in the morning with the corners of my lips being sticky and burning with minor white residue.
I was on it for approximately 6 days, taking 400mg for the first 3 days and the doctor took me off it due to all the problems I was having with it. I still have the white tongue and now have white spots on the back of my tongue which are uncomfortable as I can feel them...my tongue feels alittle swollen and uncomfortable. This medication seems to stay in the system for a long period of time after it is discontinued. Do you think these white spots are from the medication?
on Easter Sunday i felt a tingling sensation and it ended up being a large yuck thing on the inside of my lower lip wich hurt (that part went away after maybe 3 days or so) and then i had all these tiny white spots on my cheeks and tongue with it and they didnt hurt except my the front of my tongue felt sore a lot. Well today April 3rd they seem to have cleared up mostly and then i ate a chocolate rabit and more of them appeared??? Is this mouth herpes, canker sores, allergic reaction?
