Tongue sores side

Common Questions and Answers about Tongue sores side

tongue

i first noticed i couldnt move my tongue around my mouth on the left side - it was too painful. i visited my dentist who sent me to oral medicine. i have had 2 biopsies which showed hyperplasia of cells. i have had an amalgam filling in that area replaced for gold and the sore seems much worse. in Jan they are going to replace the gold for porcelain. i am praying this will work as i am in so much pain and cant sleep at night.
The next morning I woke up and found that I had a sore on each side of my tongue (they rub against my bottom molars). They hurt and look a little bit like canker sores, but I've never gotten a canker sore on my tongue, so I'm trying to find out if it's something I should be worried about... Is it possible that it's herpes? Or is that unlikely? Pleeeeease help. Thank you. This discussion is related to Unprotected Oral Sex - Sore Tongue and Mouth.
I've been done for 4 weeks now, and I finally feel like I, myself, am inhabiting my body. The aches are pretty much gone, but fatigue still comes on radically. The pallor is gone... people who knew about my tx admit now that when they told me I looked great during tx, I actually looked like s**t. The fog is mostly gone, though my memory is still not great. Energy good. Sleep poor, still need occasional help there; and I miss the wild, vivid dreams.
There are some health conditions which can make people more prone to canker sores or cold sores and it would be good to make sure that isn't the case, but only if it worsens or if more appear.
Initially 3 weeks before, i had it on the left side of the tongue almost near the tip of the tongue. After two three days i had it on the right side exactly as the same spot of the first one, but on the right. After that i had a small sore on the inner part of the tongue, towards the throat almost at the center. It repeated two three times and again today in the evening I've one on the right side of the tongue, but on the different position than the last time.
My son is 18months old and he has two good size white bumps that have come up on the right side of his tongue. He has not been eating hardly anything since these sores have appeared. I sometimes get a sore on my tongue that looks very simalar to the ones on his and mine or very painful for about two weeks. His have been there for about 4 or 5 days. I sometimes have to go to the dentist. What should I do for him?
My tongue has become white and furry fealing with splits in it which hurts when i eat. Can you please explain what it is.
i have bumps on my tongue that feel like canker sores but don't look like canker sores... they're white and solid.... is that what magic mouthwash is for????
My 6yo son has been battling something very strange for the last 2 years. It all started with a severe outbreak of sores on his tongue, spastic movements, and repetitive sounds, etc. The first episode lasted almost a month, but docs said it was "just a phase." After this, we had week long episodes about every 2-3 months.
About 2 weeks ago my husband noticed some spots on the side and top of his tongue. They seemed to have gone away then the one on top came back just a few days later pretty much in the same spot. Yesterday another one poped up on the border of his tongue. It seemed to get big fast. It looks like a bare spot with a white border but it not as red as the top spot. Could this be geographical tongue or something more serious like tongue cancer? He did visit the dentist and they feel it's GT.
Hi, I had burning in throat, my doctor said it is because of gastric issue and after taking some medicine of Gastric for 10 days, it is fine now. Later, there were sores in my mouth- from inner side of cheeks to tongue. My doctor said that it can be because of Vitamin deficiency. I am taking vitamin tables.
already answered in your other post. continue to follow up there.
i use peroxide to brush my teeth because i have sores that come and go on the right side of my mouth to the gums and underneath and along side my tongue on the right side. i had a dentist tell me this was more than likely a vitamin deficiency of some sort but after all this time i tend to think it is possibly an acid surplus. i have been on celebrex for joint pain, effexor for a spastic colon, and the only timing i can relate all of this to is the death of my mother at Christmas 2008.
I recently developed multiple canker sores on my tongue, about a week after giving a blow job. Could i have an STD?
Sorry under my tongue in the very back side
I've got one little patch on the left side of my tongue that is white like it's freezerburn dead or something. Not the bumps (which look like swollen taste buds) this skin is like just dead white. It hurts so much all the time. I hate to complain about it because it seems so LITTLE compared to things like anemia but ouch. I just called - no PCR report yet (didn't really expect it until Wednesday at some time but of course i'll call back tomorrow afternoon too.
I get canker sores often. They are always on the left side of my tongue almost in the exact same spot. The unusual part is when I feel a sore coming someone around me gets sick. It usually happens within a a few days. I noticed this last year. I'd get a canker sore and within days one of my children would get strep throat or tonsilitis. Then a friend of mine, who I work with, started getting strep throat around that time as well.
I had this a while back and the fatigue, white tongue, and canker sores fit the bill. Also started for me after unprotected intercourse. I would be a little surprised if it spread during a single session of sex though, usually it's repeated exposure that passes it. Any digestive problems?
what about canker sores (Ive never had them), with a rash on my neck, back and chest (Never had them) with swollen lympth nodes and diagosed seborrheic dermatitis (Havn't had it before either)! all this 18 days post potential exposure. any comments once again greatly appreciated.
Lately I have been getting a Canker Sore on the back bottom of my tongue every about month for the last 2-3 months. Right at the same place. It last about 3-4 days then goes away. I have been under A LOT of stress. I lost my job a few months ago and having home issues. I also suffer from very bad OCD and Bipolar. So my stress is HIGH HIGH HIGH. I also have high glucose. I read online that HIV can cause canker sores so I got tested and it was negative.
I've been tested back in January and June for oral herpes, and both times came back negative. I keep getting what seems to be a canker sore on the side of my tongue, and it appears in the same spot. It's happened 3 times in the past 4 months. I'm afraid it's herpes, what do you think? Is it typical to see recurrent herpes IN the mouth/throat as opposed to the lips/face? Please help!
I have bitten my tongue several times and then it reacts like a canker sore but goes away pretty fast if I leave it alone. The mouth washes/rinses sound like a good idea regardless.
I am in week 5 of triple TX with INCIVEK, Riba and Peg, yesterday I starting having sores inside my mouth and in the corners of my lips. Today I noticed a few sores on the side of my tongue. Has this happened to anyone else??? If so what did you do to treat it??
I'm on week 4 of the triple therapy and for 2 weeks now I've had fever blisters on both sides of my mouth, sores in both nostrils and my tongue is raw and burning, I can hardly eat or drink anything. I go to see my dr. this Friday, but has anyone else had these problems and what did you do to treat it? Thanks to everyone in this community. I've found lots of helpful posts.
the tip of my tongue is numb, i have no other noticeable symptoms except that i have had canker sores on either side of my mouth for about 3 weeks now, my tongue has been like this for 48 hours now, what are possible causes for this?
Anybody got any good 'home remedies' for these persistant mouth and tongue sores. I've got the normal cleasing and stuff to deaden the pain so I can eat. But isn't there anything that helps them heal? Ringading.......Kimmy. Other people(idiots) only affect you if you let them. The votes are in! Come back to us. We need you!
Also the area below my gums, the crevice between the gum and cheek, in the 4 areas below my molars the skin is very irritated with sores and the skin over top of the sores is white and peels away. I also have sores on the side of my tongue, where it attaches to the back of my throat is red, irritated and white skin forms over it, but it peels away easily (like the crevices).
