I am a 47 year old male with a history of drinking and related digestive problems (diarrhea/malabsorption). Prior to my current symptoms, I had/have experienced frequent diarrhea, a lower back ache, and geographic tongue. During the past 6 months I have significantly curtailed my drinking to only beer, and no more than a few beers a week. I take Lipitor, BP meds, and Ambien.
I got the pregnancy belly rings and they suck! my belly button is stretching horizontally so the opening can fit like nothing in it.. I stuck that little belly ring in there.. which is about half the size of a normal barbell and it irritated the **** out of the hole because it was like stretching it back open.. it hurt to move.. but everyone grows differently but personally I wouldnt waste my money again..
After about three weeks it has turned soar and I have some patches of white rings with swollen taste buds inside of it on the tip of the tongue. The white rings almost vanish from tooth brushing, but the swollen taste buds remains. This has lasted for about a week and it seems to clear up now. But my tongue is still sore, not very but sore and the soreness varies throughout the day.
because my friend said about the belly piercing that taking it out so much and poke the baby but i rarely take it out and another friend said its bad with a tongue ring because it could take the metal with food that goes down but it's not like my tongue rings peals lol I been having the same metal bar they give when they first pierce your tongue and belly
This may be tmi, sorry but, i have my nipples and tongue pierced. Among others, but those are the ones im wprried about. Did/do any of you ladies have either done? And did you have to take them out, if so around how many weeks did you remove them?
I dont think your tongue ring makes a difference just your belly ring but I cpuld be wrong. I dont have my tongue pierced..
I am going to give my two cents on tongue rings, sorry in advance. Having very little to do with pregnancy, I say take it out. I got mine done when I was 18. Prior to that I had great teeth, never had a cavity or anything. I took it out when I was like 24 or 25 and ever since then my teeth have taken a rather rapid turn for the worst. I am now 32 and so far I am missing two teeth, luckily they are back teeth, that I had to have pulled because there was no saving them.
I have been getting small white spots on my tongue for about a month now. At first it is a small white spot that over a a few days gets larger. it seems to get larger as the days go by. I always get it in the same spot and it goes away after about a week. It seems to come back within a two week period. i not sure what to do or if i have an disease. Also as the spot gets bigger, it turns red in the middle. I do have asthma and use an inhaler but this has never happened to me before.
My tongue started out very sore and dry, I could not handle spicy foods or mouthwash and I got white rings under my tongue off and on. My tongue is now less sore and the white rings have gone away, but now I have white patches that definitely look like hairy leukoplakia. Sometimes my throat is little sore and I have a slight cough.
I used to think my HIV risk was low but now I'm not sure.
When I found out I was pregnant I took all of my piercings out except my tongue ring . I absolutely love my tongue ring and don't want to take it out unless I have too . I just recently put in a plastic bar and balls in so there is no metal in my mouth . Do you think the doctor will let me go through labor with the plastic in ?
After looking for similar rashes on the internet, I thought it might be Pityriasis Rosea, but instead of improving on its own, it continuos to get worse. Until today, I had mirror image rings on both arms from my shoulders to my wrists (20-30 rough rings on each arm, at varying stages and sizes). They are most noticable after I exercise and/or take a shower. Today, January 22, I was feeling similarly to how I felt in November and now I have a ring on the back of my upper leg.

Considering that in 2007 it was estimated that 36.1 million people live with HIV, even if this case was beyond doubt (and I can't help being a tiny bit skeptical) you can't get more unlikely odds than that. After two years the piercing would be perfectly healed anyway, so there is no risk at all on that front.
I've hooked up a girl about a month and a half ago and little white bumps apeared on my tounge maybe 3 days later they didn't really hurt a lot but there annoying and I still think I have them I'm really scared there nothing wrong with the inside of my mouth no res rings around them nothing on my lips throat nothing can any one help me?
My white tongue is covered with some milky film, changing size from full to half covered, sometimes showing red and white rings for few days, also sometimes I have a burning sensation on my tongue.....Also, I have a periodical sore throat with white patches on my throat back.
I have tried with NISTATINE drops, gel, tablets but no luck...

Hi rings like your describing are not any std symptom but maybe some change to your body that your just noticing now. std symptoms are warts, raised painless bumps (syphilis) that go away after a few weeks and white puss penis discharge and burning while urinating. if your concerned have a derm check you about this.

i always clean my tongue every day !three times!
but bad breath renewed!!!!
now tell me what can i do ?
Do you advise me to take off my wisdom teeth

At the same time, a place that I had chewed my lip turned into a large scab that oozed a white secretion, my pinky finger and nailbeds started to swell and ooze pus and were very warm, painful white bumps appeared on my tongue, and a fluid filled ball developed behind one of my back teeth. I began to have a fever along with the sores, as well as swelling of my lymph nodes, muscle pain, and general lethargy.
I have had these white rings near the back of my tongue and one on the tip of my tongue for a few months now. I can scrape them off with a tongue brush but they keep reappearing every morning. They don't change location, they're generally in the same place every time. I thought it might be thrush, but I have had two different doctors run fungal swabs and both came out negative for fungus.
