Avatar f tn Voluntary muscles are the ones which are under our voluntary control and they are also called as skeletal muscles as they are attached to our skeleton. Amongst them, the strongest muscles are the jaw muscles which are medically known as masseters. Amongst the involuntary muscles, which are not under our voluntary control, the strongest muscle is of course the heart muscle. I sincerely hope that helps. Please do keep me posted. Kind regards.
Avatar n tn What would cause a white coating on a human tongue accompanied by a brownish spot in the back center of the tongue with several "bumps" toward the back of the tongue. 486038 tn?1300063367 What's this? My muscles that control my face/jaw/speech are funky! So, when I had my flare two weeks ago I noticed that when I would speak every once in a while my jaw would wobble or jerk while I was speaking. I ALSO realized that it was a lot worse when I was singing. Today, I was in front of our church with the worship band, and when I started to sing my jaw just flipped out! So, have you ever had the chills and your jaw shook really bad and your teeth clattered?

Should she have her husband wear protection when they engage in sexual activities? What are her chances of getting this.
Avatar n tn Regarding your muscle fluttering, which I will assume are twitches, these may be due to benign fasciculation syndrome, which I will abbreviate as BFS, a condition in which there are involuntary twitches of various muscle groups, most commonly the legs but also the face, arms, eyes, and tongue. These may be related to anxiety/stress, caffeine, and often occur after recent strenuous activity or muscle over-use.
Avatar f tn foot dragging, and speech problems due to involvement of the facial muscles. The disorder usually begins in the legs, but it may also start in the tongue or the hands. The disease-which scientists believe is not hereditary-progresses gradually over a number of years, or even decades. In PLS, there is no evidence of the degeneration of spinal motor neurons or muscle wasting (amyotrophy) that occurs in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease), which it resembles.
Avatar n tn Dog gets kissed by someone with herpes mouth sores or healing sores. Dog was kissed on the fur or any of the other places mentioned above. Is it possible that this dog is now "carrying" on TOP of its skin, fur, lips, nose, mouth or tongue the HERPES virus and if it is pet or kissed by another human, in the same areas of the dog that the HERPES infected person's sores came into contact with, the dog could pass the HUMAN HERPES to the receiving human?
1392500 tn?1280086653 sensations throughout my muscles all over my body, where it feels like my limbs or tongue are numb and light as air; but when I feel them, they are not numb and I can interpret feeling normally. So during feeling this I will panic that I won't be able to talk or move, but of course I am always able to do both normally. The tickling sensation is usually met with faintness. This is met with some insomnia (where I am wide awake until 2 or 3 AM), daytime fatigue, and constipation.
Avatar f tn The human tongue has a habit. A big one of showing hydration, the human body it also reacts and pinpoints areas in serious need. Your throats dry? Your tongue is pink exposing moisture and bringing moisture to the first area to effectively solve the problem. Yes, I'm going to say it. Drink water. Lots of it, not at once and believe you resolved the problem instantly that your body has with your daily liquid habits. Soda coffee, alcohol etc... All of your issues had a commonality though.

Avatar f tn For the past two months I have been experiencing tight jaw muscles and three times have turned my head while smiling and my muscles have spasmed. I have been to the emergency room once due to the left side of my tongue going numb. I was told it was probably a result of my wisdom tooth that was infected and I was having removed two days later. We found this out after having a speech therapist from the school district come into our home.
