I also believe I have geographic tongue because I get those small white circles in various parts of my tongue day-to-day. My tongue is fissured with a large groove down the middle. Spicy and hot (temp) foods irritate it but I've managed. My tongue always seems inflammed, red, and warmer than usual to the touch. The front half of my tongue is not really coated.
Hi everyone! Has anyone out there ever experienced a groove in their stool. I started noticing this several months ago but just wrote it off as kind of odd. However I have had a few episodes of it since but not with every bowel movement. I don't know a nice way to describe it except it is like an indentation the entire length of the BM. Should I be concerned? I had a sigmoidoscopy about 4 yrs ago(i'm 42y/o). It was fine. Any advice would be great.
The other day I went to a new dentist and he was concerned about how my tongue looked. It looks like a small groove, about 5 mm long, and has some white stuff in it. He told me it concerned him, but this was before I told him my tongue had been biopsied before in the same area. Could this just be scarring or where the previous biopsy was done? I plan to go see the oral surgeon just in case, but was wondering in the meantime.
Hello. I'm 19, I had a thin white film and furry on my tongue for several years and it still remains unchanged. It seems like not a coat, just my papillae is white. I can't get rid of it, i can scrape it off but it's still very thin white subsequently. I also have a groove in midline of my tongue and toothmark around the tongue. I have a poor oral dental hygiene history, i used to brush my teeth only 1 time in the morning.
For the past year and a half, I've had these symptoms and none of the dentists I've been to have looked into it when I told them about it. Do you know that sensation you get on your tongue when you rub your tongue in the groove in a chipped porcelain cup? That's what my lower front 6 teeth have felt like for the past year and a half. My gums are swollen, sore and irritated, and I have this sensation of having something stuck in between my teeth.

This has helped pretty much and i am pretty regular with normal round stool until i started seeing a groove/ridge in my poop (i check my poop). I am not sure if it has always been there. This doesn't happen all the time but its does.
Anyone experience this? Should i be worried? Do you think i need another colonoscopy? My anxiety off the hook.
Hi, HIV is remote possibility. In geographic tongue, which is again benign condition, tongue is covered with small protrusions called papillae, red patches on the surface of the tongue bordered by grayish white areas. It is again a familial disorder but fissures are not seen.
Please relax, don't think of HIV, as HIV presentations are associated with many other type of symptoms like recurrent mouth ulcers, herpes attacks, fever, diarrhoea, seborrheic dermatitis etc.
This question concerns the presence of a colorless (skin-colored) halo-shaped "groove" that goes around the middle or so of my glans. Sometimes it is higher up sometimes lower down. Along with the presence of this groove my urethreal meatus is noticeably more distended "loose", wrinkled and achy...when it aches it causes my penis to react by subtly shrinking..it is not a good feeling.
For the last 10-12 days, I seem to have developed 2 parallel 1/2 inch long cut/groove/fissure near the tip of my tongue which are not healing. MRI---all ligaments etc...are good. Had no problems with my knee until this fall in early January. I fell directly on my knee, tore pants and the skin off my knee. About 8 hours after the fall I went to do a complete squat (to the floor) and it took my breath away. I have difficulty kneeling on it and squatting and getting back up. Bending knee to put pants on is not comfortable.
I have posted this already but don't know if i posted it in the right area. While working on some decking during the summer shirtless I got sunburned on my back. I turned red everywhere except for a large circle on my lower back and a patch that goes from shoulder to shoulder about 10cm in width. These patches don't turn red after a shower either. On further inspection I have fount a few small patches on both my arms and legs about 1cm in size that also don't turn red.
