It is right on the skin that connects my tongue to my lower jaw, so when i move my tongue, it hurts. It started recently, and has been recurring on and off. However, this morning it was at its fullest and largest size. It appears to be clear, with some sort of transparent fluid inside. It hurts when I eat, for it involved tongue movement. I do not smoke, chew tobacco, or anything of the sort, nor have I ever. Looking at it, it has gotten MUCH bigger over time. Should I be worried?
Alright I just noticed that last night it seemed to have gotten a little bit bigger than the last time i looked. It is about the size of my pinky nail, give or take a little bit. It is a light white color and as I said it is very painful. It is right a the base of the underneath tongue, so whenever I actually move my tongue it makes it hurt..well even when I don't move my tongue it hurts. Can you help me figure out what it is?

s fine and all besides the back of the right side of my tongue hurts so bad still, it hurts to swallow anything. I can't chew, and like under my jaw line hurts and I can just feel how swollen it is like it's kinda closed up a bit. I don't know why it's like this or if it'll go away.
Should I go see a doctor?
I can see a white line on the sublingual floor(under the tongue but closer to the back) on the right side and it hurts when I move my tongue to the left. Like a really sharp pain.Im writing this after 10h. I don't want to go to a doctor and loose more money because of a small strain that can heal if given enough time but I do have enough money to properly visit one of it's serious.
And whenever I moved my tongue wrong or move the barbell it sends a sharp shooting pain through the left side of my tongue. I have been taking advil like every 2 hours to help with the pain but, it doesnt help. I don't know if I should leave in the barbell for a couple more days to see what happens or if should get it taken out in the morning.
t go more than 1/2 up my tongue from the back The redness is on the tip and sides where it hurts. The small red bumps do not move they look like swollen taste buds. I am going to see a Oral surgeon today. I have used tobacco products on and off during my life. This morning when I woke up my tongue was super dry like always and I pressed it up on the roof of my mouth and sucked it. It started bleeding from a spot near the front in the center.
I've had similar symptoms of pain in the tip of my tongue for several months. While I have NO white bumps, and have suffered no burns, the tip of my tongue has a different appearance from the rest of it- it appears darkened, redder, visibly different. For about a month the sensitivity went away and my tongue was normal. Just recently the pain has returned. I can't blame it on any specific foods, drinks, toothpaste or mouthwash, nor can I explain its temporary absence and re-emergence.
gave me meds and it all cleared in a week but now I still have loose stool and reacurring ulcers and my tongue is crazy looking giraffe tongue and it hurts and looks hairy and yellow marks,no appetite till this day and its week 10/11 I got tested 4 weeks and it was negative she got tested 3time at 6 weeks after she cheated negative but one of the test the back round didnt clean but it said negative but they redid it to make sur and I took another test at 7 weeks negative ....

I'm a 23 year old female and I've had a very painful yellow sore on the left side of my tongue, slightly towards the back. It's located right on the side - not on the top or bottom side of my tongue. The sore itself isn't huge (maybe less than half the size of a pencil eraser), but the area it is on is swollen enough that it hurts to talk or just move my tongue in general.
Can illness/flu trigger a herpes outbreak?
I have a dentist appointment in 2 weeks - I'm gonna try and move that up to this week.
What do you think? Any input would be great - just need to talk to someone.
I have been like crying in pain because of it. It hurts to move my tongue around and it makes it hard to swallow even my own saliva. I have been to my doctor and dentist about it, both saying it will leave on its own..but it has been years...They said its a salivatory stone, caused by plaque type buildup that gets stuck and makes it hard to salivate...who knows. I wish I had an answer for you, and for myself.
Every since that day I been having symptoms of sore throat, stomach rumbling, has loose stools for 2 weeks about 2 months post exposure, I still have stomach rumbling, excessive gas, I always feel like I am hungry but my stomach is feeling like i need to eat and then through out the day I get stomach gas.

Twice in the past few days my labrador has stopped eating his dinner midway through and just stood there looking concerned and sticking his tongue out or looking like he is having issues with his tongue, After a few minutes of standing with him reassuring him he's ok he seems to go back to normal, and finishes his tea. I can't find any possible reasons for this on the net, never seen this before, haven't changed his food or anything and he's fine apart from this.
Know have swollen tongue like for 3 weeks on the side of tongue. Been looking on the internet and it kinda looks like Oral Hairy Leukoplakia.
My question is does it hurts at the beginning. Because when it got swollen it hurt like hell my tongue and then it didn't. Now is still swollen on the sides but it doesn't hurt.
Is this Oral Hairy Leukoplakia. I am Hepatitis C positive.
