Hi people, After a possible exposure nearly six months ago my symptoms persist and getting worse. Particularly mouth problems including sore tongue coated in white or yellow gunk every day, small reddish lumps at back of toungue, dry mouth at night, slimy lips and just general discomfort. This has been going since February!! The pain in my neck under jaw line has been persistent since december and it hurts to swallow now.
Underside of my tongue and bottom of my mouth under my tongue are sore. No visible sore but it looks like the salivary glands are red. Is it some viral thing or something else? Kind of has me worried. I've made an appointment with my regular doctor but wonder if I should be seeing a dentist instead.
I have developed a sore tongue. It feels like I burned it, but it is sore all over the surface of the tongue and it has been sore for at least two weeks. Yesterday I felt a cold sore developing on my lip. My question, is this related to my parkinson's disease and if so what can I do to alleviate it?

I wonder if you can help me - two weeks ago I woke up with a pain in the centre of my tongue and a sore throat. Since then my tongue got incredibly sore and my mouth felt as if it was burning in different areas. I noticed I had an ulcer under my tongue and that the floor of the tongue was really red and swollen on one side. Afer lots of salt mouthwashes, the ulcer is beeter but it really hurts when I move my tongue to one side and my mouth is still burining internittently.
Within days, my sores went away. My tongue is still sore (kinda like freezer burnt) but I can eat again! I drink the juice for my red blood count and hemo. It seems to be working because for the last 2 months, my count is going back up, very slowly though. But its not dropping anymore. I am in week 25 outta 48. I am starting to feel human again! And for those who know me.....my 24 week pcr came back the same as my 12 week.....undetectable!!!!
I can put the tip of my tongue on it about an inch below my bottom front teeth it feels like a hard ball inside to me, from under my teeth to the base of my tongue. The front of my neck is also sore from the outside just above the adams apple if I press on it the lump hurts more. I do not know which avenue to pursue, the ENT or the Oral Surgeon or what could possibly cause this. Please help this mother of four young children feel normal again.
I have mouth symptoms that drive me nuts, my tongue hurts or I get a sore throat or it tingles. And I'm not on any meds. I just keep going to the doctor and counsellor for reassurance.
Then it burst on its own and eventually 3/4 of my tongue gets raw red like and burns, with like a sore filling. Anything that touches it burns. Then the area where the blister originally was at begins to turn pink and very smooth about 1/2 my tongue. It no longer hurts but feels weird cause I dont think my taste buds work too well when this is happening. Then it all goes away and my tongue goes back to normal until it happens again.
my daughter at 5 years old had a tongue leasion removed. It was a large mass on the back of her tongue that turned colors. from white to black. It was non cancerous, benign and now at the age of 14 it is back. It has been back for awhile. It is large white tumor like on the back of her tongue. The doctors want to remove it again. I cannot find anything on this that is not sexually related. It looks similar to a large wart. The doctors are always perplexed.
now here I am after work and surely the pain medicine is worn off cause my tongue hurts so bad again.. its like a deep muscle pain... combined with a very sore surface as if I burnt it and bit it at the same time. I dont remember burning or biting my tongue so i am very confused. There is no discoloration or swelling of any of the taste buds, I just dont get it! This is twice in the past month and with no instance of injury i can think of. I am also a smoker...

Someone with my condition- its feels like small cuts all over the tongue. Really burns, miserable and hurts. It feels really raw and when i first had this condition i lost eight pounds as i really couldn’t eat anything. I slowly started to introduce some foods back and now know my, limit so to speak. Three biscuits will be fine maybe- ten will rip my tongue to shreds!! I ADORED tomatoes, but now have to be careful, same as lemon and tangerines. I’ve had this for just over two years.
For some time now my tongue has been sore on the side. There are no open sores or any visible signs of an infection as far as I can see. When I move tongue left and right is feels tender and it's painful at times. What could this be? I get regular checkups by my dentist but I never mention it. Not sure if it's dental-related or a sign of some kind of infection that is not dental-related. I don't want to risk the embarrassment so I don't say anything. Should I?
He gave me steriods for the pain, and my orange tongue went away. In January, my tongue turned orange again and my throat was sore, but there were no blisters. There's no cure for coxsackie and it's lays dormant in the body, and it tends to come back during times of stress.
