The right side of my tongue is numb. I feel some tingling and burning sensation at the tip of my tongue and bottom also. My tongue on the right side feels very sensitive to hot or spicy food. I also had pain running down my chin to the ear until 2 weeks ago if I had to do lot of speaking continuously. Now that pain seems to be better. But the tongue is still numb. The dentist has asked me to wait and take some B complex vitamins. Anyone who has recovered from this problem?

Also, I recently started taking liquid vitamins and monavie red. Blood pressure is under control with intake of lisinopril. If the cause was from eating hot food, how long will the symptoms persist. It does not hurt, just numb. Any thoughts?
I am going through the same thing on the rigth side of my tongue. It is awful!! I am going back to my oral surgeon on Monday. He is a maxillofacial surgeon as well.
It's been 6 days so far since my wisdoms were removed. I have a lot of brusing on the same side too. Maybe a nerve is just bruised. I do have a burning feeling on the numb side of the tongue which I think is a good sign.
From what I have read on this (parasthesia), it seems as though around 90% of people regain feeling.
Have lingual nerve damage and right side of tongue is numb, burning/tingling...day 13 here...got given Tergretol today. Dentist said could help with burning but have to get levels right, have blood test, keep going in to be monitored re: levels and it has some nasty side effects,,,suicidal ideation and being sleepy which is out of the question with me at work. I don't sleep we'll but will get sleep tabs if need be over these side effects. So is it worth it taking this ?
After the surgery, I had numb tongue and I thought I would go away very soon. However, I have been suffering from numb tongue for the past two weeks. Half of my tongue on the left hand side is numb and i can feel not much taste.

2 days giving birth.. woke up in the middle night with skin burning, tongue numb.. well I went home the next day and I had skin burning, fast heart rate, numb tongue, numbness in hands and feet etc. Well after a coulple weeks it went away and had burning legs for a couple months. A year later I started taking dizzy spells every night in the middle of the night when getting up . my head and neck would get so tight that I couldn't catch my breath, my tongue would go numb.
I had my left side of my body go dead- numbness, i was blind in my left eye, i was deaf in my left ear, half of my thingy was numb (pretty sad..haha); but my whole tongue was numb. i could not taste anything and it drove me crazy. I had this going on for roughly a month. I recall going to the gym and i had a cane and then after the infusion everything came back. My tongue still plays tricks on me and it stinks so why I have no idea what to say with the exception of hang in there. Best to you..
The following day Ive been nauseous constantly and have headaches mainly on my neck. My tounge likes to go numb everyonce in a while and I think I have a slight temp. These symtpoms also have been occuring within the week of my mensturation if that might have anything to do with it even though Ive never had anything like this. My body is also very weak and it has been a week that these symptoms have been going on.
What can I possibly have?!
The right side of my body is going numb. My whole right leg is numb. Under breast and it wraps around my back. This is only happening on my right side. I've been to see a doctor and I got loads of blood tests done today, will have my results on friday. If they are Inconclusive then I have to see a neurologist. Just wanting to know if anyone else has experienced this?

Over the past few days my right side, and right side only has become increasingly numb. It started in toes then up my foot and now up to my knee. I'm also numb under my right breast (under where you lift the breast) and the numbness wraps right around to my back (again right side only.) Is this normal?

I went to bed and was fine when I woke up 4hrs later to get ready for work my tongue was numb (like when you go to the dentist & they numb your mouth but only my tongue) went to work hoping it would go away.. fast forward to this morning my tongue is still numb and all my joints hurt it hurts to even bend my fingers. My health has seemed to go down hill this last yr with no explanation from my Dr he's done a blood panel checked my thyroid.

I have had tingling tongue/numb tongue off and on since my first symptom. It comes and goes. The tip of my tongue was tingly just the other day.
I have balance problems and had vertigo. The steroid IV fixed the vertigo, but my trouble walking straight stays. Unfortunately, these weird feelings are probably MS related. I tend to blame every new feeling on MS. lol
I hope you get a diagnosos soon.
During the followup call I mentioned that the left side of my tongue was numb, and chewing ,swallowing and talking were difficult.The office said to call back if things were not normal the next day.To shorten the story I got an MRI,EKG,and an artery scope.No sign of a stroke was found.Has anyone heard of this?The operation was the left shoulder,and when I stick out my tongue it curves left.

My tongue for almost 2 months feels like it has been stuck in a 9 volt battery. This sensation goes from the tip to the middle of the tongue. It has like a metal feeling? It is really bothersome.
has anyone had tingling around the mouth, inside the bottom lips, it feels numb and as though i am drooling (dont think i am though) Its like having an injection at the dentist thats just wearing off, feels weird numb and a little bit sore

m most worried about is the fatigue, poor appetite, and the muscle aches, slightly swollen tongue, nd tip of my tongue goes numb off and on sometimes m tongue can go days without going numb do you think these symptoms could be from my teeth there all decayed and 5 abscess that I've have had for over 3 years now without being treated
