Avatar f tn Hi everyone. I am having some issues with my tongue not coordinating correctly with my soft palate when swallowing. I have had a swallow test, neuro exam, ENT exam, speech therapist exam all with normal results. I do have a history of bad GERD and the ENT said I have some throat irritation from it. Has anyone had their GERD affect their tongue? I am scared to death of ALS right now, and am looking for some simple answers. Thanks.

It is suggested that tongue could be uses for oral sex with movent of tongue.Male and female both can do this sex to each other. Google for tongue exercises. This is mentioned in a book by Dr. YUdelove- 100 days practice of Taoist yoga.In this method you do not need to take the penis in your mouth.You might get similar exercises in Google.

911669 tn?1294099188 Good morning everyone, I just went and saw a speech pathologist yesterday for my swallowing issues. It was very informative for me. She gave me a number of tongue and swallowing exercises to increase strength at the base of my tongue. She also is suggesting to my neuro a modified barium swallow to see where things stand. I go back to my neuro next month for followup.

Avatar m tn Yes, some kids do have a delay in speaking and it is meaningless. They begin talking in full sentences. I think that I'd talk to your pediatrician about it, however. I always think checking in with an expert is helpful. Perhaps they will have some suggestions for you on how to bring about speech. Or if there is a bigger issue, they can begin to address it as early intervention can do wonders.

Avatar m tn Unfortunately, it's a bit too late to lose 35 pounds before June. Any type of exercise is good for you....... you could try walking, yoga, biking, swimming, dance, tennis...... anything is good. You have to watch your diet, as well as exercise. According to your profile, you're only 15, so at that age, your body is not fully developed. You have to be very careful losing weight or you could have trouble later in life.
Avatar n tn That's a pretty broad post. Can you afford a personal trainer at a gym? That way you can tell them what you want and they can get you started. You'll only get "huge" legs if you do tons of leg resistance exercises (and if you have the genetic ability to get them without taking steroids, which is unlikely unless you have large legs to begin with).
