Ever since I have had strange foreign object sensations in the throat, a white furry tongue, rhinitis, sinusitis, headaches, laryngitis and intermittent facial pains around the upper teeth area. I always want to clear my throat but can't and the whole thing is driving me crazy.
I have been tested three times for HIV (after six weeks, five months and seven months) and all three tests were negative. Swabs have been taken of the back of the throat and tongue and nothing has been found.
The sides of my tongue has flat linear black patches. Since birth. But there is no pain or any problem.
Is it dangerous?? Should I immediately consult doctor?

While there is no known cure or commonly prescribed treatment for geographic tongue, there are several ways to suppress the condition, including avoiding foods which exacerbate the problem.
Some people affected by geographic tongue also report that taking Vitamin B supplements causes the condition to go away temporarily. Some groups mention using antiinflammatory steroids applied topically clears the patches.
Burning may also be reduced by taking antihistamines.
Have you had any injuries to your eye or head or face? When was your last eye exam? It could be a retina problem, so many things. I would get an appt with an eye doctor, at least an optician preferrable an opthamologist.
To me, the two conditions you mention are different. I have chronic fatigue and feel tired all the time, don't sleep well, get all sorts of aches and pains, brain fog, lots of headaches and other stuff but don't have a white tongue. I've had it for about 30 years and hate it. There is no cure and it is certainly not all in your mind. I used to play sport, dance a lot, run marathons all whilst bringing up 4 children.

m taking the Doxycycline a week now and I notice a white patch on tongue and a red rash-like spot on neck and face. Does it mean, that Doxycycline isn't effective on me? Please help...
You need to stop trying to "cure your tongue." If you think you have a tongue problem see your doctor instead of cutting it, but you probably have nothing wrong. You claimed "Now i am also feeling getting cold again" but that was in your imagination.
You don't have hiv, and everyone here told you that. It is time to stop thinking about having an imaginary hiv disease.
I pierced a capsule with a needle and sprinkled a small amount directly on my tongue. I then spread it all over my tongue and left on while showering and then some, about ten minutes. It formed a whitish crud which I brushed off and then rinsed with regular mouth wash. That evening I couldn't really see any orange (normally end of day my OT was whole tongue and very prominent!) so I decided to repeat the Tetracycline sprinkle after supper.

Is it possible that geographic tongue can be a side effect from taking Protonix (Pantoprazole Sodium) delayed release tablets?

People just have different symptoms, like I have swollen hands, some ppl don't. Some ppl itch, and some don't.
I have had geographic tongue since my 30's. I am now 55. I too am tired of the no known cause/cure from the medical community. Recently due to other medical conditions (thyroid), I started paying attention to my tongue again. It is too big for my mouth, teeth marks, fissure, and then of course all of the geographic markings. It was the ugliest tongue ever. I showed it to my doctor and she just shrugged and said "mapping". NO I said, it does not fit in my mouth. Anyway...
Each time the activities that took place were french kissing, protected blowjob (apart from one time), unprotected cunnilingus (tongue deep in to the vagina) and protected sex. If the doctor believe it requires treatment, a simple round of common antibiotics will be prescribed. You did not and could not have given this to her.
They will take your buck for sure and put you on some drugs with severe side effects which are not good for your body. Ask them if they CAN cure your diseases? Better yet ask them if they WANT to cure your disease? Maybe they look at you as income for life. Ask the drug companies if they want to cure you? Maybe they are the charlatans that want your buck? They will NOT tell you about the Swank diet because there is no money in it. They can't get money from you if you get well.
Got what appears to be a rash on my tongue and after looking it up it appears to be geographic tongue and I was wondering if geographic tongue was indicative of any diseases. I recently posted on the HIV forum and was told I was in a no risk category but maybe Im just being stupid but I recently developed this rash that I never noticed before and was hoping for any insight on whether this is a symptom of any diseases. I also drink a lot and have been stressed a lot so maybe those contribute.
