Three days ago, I noticed two large white bumps on the very back of my tongue. They hurt like heck, making it hard to swallow or talk. the only thing that releives it is ibuprophen. Could this be some forn of herpes? I have never suffered from cold sores or any other types of lesions on the front part of my mouth.
I have noticed a few bumps on the back of my tongue, they r not painful at all. I brushed my tongue to see if they would hurt or bleed and had no signs at all. What could they be?
I have 4 small white raised bumps on the back of my tongue, and very small reddish ones towards tha back and middle. They dont irritate me or hurt, but they are kinda hard. I have rinsed w/ warm salt and water and have also used mouth wash. I noticed this about 2 days ago after burning my tongue with hot food. Ive done that before and I have never noticed anything like this. I am pregnant and I'm kinda scared. Do you know what this maybe?

At first I thought it was just a blister, but when I looked in the mirror this morning, I found multiple bumps of all different sizes covering the back of my tongue. I know for a fact that I have never had any bumps like this before. What are all the possibilitys of what this could be, where it came from, and how it could be taken care of?
I have had bumps way back towards the end of the tongue, for over a month now. I am not sure how long before the first time I noticed them they have been there, maybe it was only a month or so when I felt them. There are three small clustered together on one side and only one on the other side of the tongue. They are of same color as the tongue (pale pink), don't hurt at all and only at time (maybe once a week) may feel as there is something on the tongue.
I have bumps at the back of my tongue that make it difficult to swallow some pills. I had a lump taken from y neck 2 years ago. It was ok. But the lymph nodes continue to swell up on the area where the surgery was done. Could it be ear infection or scar tissue This discussion is related to Bumps on Back of Tongue.
I noticed a cluster of bumps on the very back of my tongue. I only see them when i stick my tongue out very far. They are behind the "v" of papillae and just above the epiglottis (the thing that closes over the trachea. i dont know if thats the right term). Any ways, they dont hurt at all, but i just noticed them recently.... Anyone know what these are?
i just noticed theses bumps on the back of my tongue. They are all the way in the back almost to my throat. they are about the same color as my tongue but the are hard. What could this be? I am kind of worried about this.
Fast forward to today-- I have 5 or 6 painless, raised bumps on the back of my tongue, causing me to feel like I have a hair or something back there. I have been looking around the internet (obviously) and it really looks like the pictures of circumvallate papillae I've seen. What I'm wondering is this: what is possible for me to have contracted (and become symptomatic) in this period of time, STD-wise? A bit of background-- the last few days I've had somewhat bad allergies.
The past few days I've noticed bumps on the back of my tongue... they were just visible if I stuck my tongue out far and didnt hurt or anything. But today, one of the bumps toward the left side just feels annoying. Like when a popcorn kernel gets stuck on the back of your tongue... thats what it feels like. I tried using a toothbrush to kind of 'brush' it away, and it didnt work.
my tongue has bumps all in the back middle and is red like it is raw,it is like it is on fire when i eat or drink things i have been eating and drinking for years. what is going on with me?
Most likely they are papilla, normal anatomy of your tongue that get more visible as they dry out (stick your tongue out). Go see a dentist if they still worry you.
I did lose my taste of food for about a week, and developed 4 bumps in the back of my mouth was told that when you lose your tastebuds this happens. Would like to know when will these bumps will go away, or what should I do. This discussion is related to Bumps on back of tongue.
It has now been a little over a year since I've had maybe 4-6 pink medium sized bumps on the back of my tongue. When I open my mouth wider, I can see all the way down to the WAY back of my throat tiny bumps all over. And I'm really scared. I noticed these bumps, a year ago and a couple days before I had unprotected intercourse, anal, and oral sex with someone. I'm not sure if that caused it or not, because I don't have any of these bumps on my vagina, or my anus.
Is it like a few small large bumps on the back of your tongue? Generally there is 8 to 12 large taste buds in the back called circumvallate papillae. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Circumvallate_papillae Here's a quick wikipedia reference in case you wanted to look it up.
I have had these pink bumps on the back of my tongue (2x as big as a regular taste bud, same color) since the beginning of Nov 2008. I went to the doctor before, and I didn't tell him that I thought it was herpes, BUT i did tell him that I thought it was bacteria. And he gave me some pills for it, and it didn't help. I'm not sure what it is. On Oct 31st 2008 i had unprotected sex and oral, and there isn't any sort of herpes on my vagina, or in my anus. So I don't know what it can be.
But the other day I noticed for the first time on my tongue, these bumps on the back, I didn't notice any in my throat or on the roof of my mouth. There are different ones. Like the ones in the middle just look like little ones and the ones in the back are big, I took some pictures, I hope they will help. I have a pic in the other bulletin below Picture: http://s98.photobucket.com/albums/l273/maleficentmoon/?
I just notice I have small red bumps on the back of my tongue small but one big not on my tonsils
the first thing that seemed stange and made me think of possible std infection was some weird bumps on the back of my tongue. there is a lot of them. but only in the rear. the part that isnt covered in bumps has been discolored with some sort of stuff. however, the stuff comes off. the bumps don't hurt at all. nothing really hurts. the other reason i am worried is because ive had a bad stomach ache. however, that is the only "flu like" symptom.
i have these white bumps on tongue that hurt . what can i take for these to go away This discussion is related to white bumps on my tongue.
I noticed a few days ago I have pinkish color bumps that aren't very big on both sides of my tongue on the back they don't hurt or nothing but my tongue do burn a bit on the tip and my throat burns off and on...I am a non smoker...I do have constant musus in my throat I think it is post nasal drip could this be causing it???
i also have little bumps on the back sides of my tongue again do not bother me at all. Also little bumps on the top of my tongue the whole tongue that do not bother me. (i think they are just raised taste buds) I just noticed all these when me and my friends talked about oral herpes. Is this a sign of oral herpes or another STD. I looked at the pictures and nothing looks like it but they are there constantly.
I have had white blotchy spots and bumps on my tongue for probably over a month now. They are starting to get painful and I can't afford to go to a doctor. They're all over my tongue and mouth. At first I thought it might be thrush so I have been drinking cranberry juice and eating yogurt. It seems to go away but as soon as i stop doing anything it comes right back.
i am now on day 9 of itraconazole. it looks like the bumps on the base of my tongue are back and the white rings are starting to spread down the lateral edge of my tongue again. i will take my 10th and final dose of itraconazole tomorrow. I have another 10 day course of fluconazole that i will try to take after this to see if i can finally beat this thing. my diet is limited to only grilled lean meat and green veggies. I have a diabetic friend, he lets me test my sugar from time to time.
