11248659 tn?1469915817 my kids like to randomly wake up in middle of the night and run into my bedroom like it is morning. Hoping this new baby just sleeps well after he figures out his nights and days and then maybe I can get a few good hours to recuperate!
Avatar f tn How long to keep baby in crib....before switching to toddler bed.. My daughter is a yr. By the time I have baby #2 she will b almost 2yr. I'm just tryna minimize bulkiness in room with both kids beds.
Avatar f tn I will need another crib when lily is 20 months for a new baby. do i need another crib for a few months? is 20 months too young for a toddler bed?
Avatar n tn When I put him down to sleep we pray for his baby sister to grow up big and strong so she can play with him soon. Its little throughout the day I guess.
349463 tn?1333571576 The question is where should the baby sleep?? My son and toddler both have their own room. We have an extra smaller room off the family room that we use as an office. My son also stays at his dad's house about 4 nights every other week. Right now he has the biggest room. There is room for a crib in his room, the office (if we move out the office furniture) or we have room in my daughter's room. Another thing to consider is that my husband works from home and needs his office.
7758733 tn?1402589420 The plan is to get my son (16mnth) in a toddler bed, and keep new baby out of the bed as well. My question is what is the best cost and space efficient way to do this? I was just thinking a toddler bed for him and the pack n play for new baby. But my mom says I should get convertible crib? What was your experience, or opinion?
7758733 tn?1402589420 And I want something that will l grow with her, hate spending more money than I have to. I need my son and new baby to sleep close to me just for peace at mind. Which was more convenient for you? And how did you manage with toddler? Second time mom, and it feels like a big adjustment!
Avatar f tn ve seen research that shows babies who sleep in pack and plays for extended periods of time develop back problems later in life. I'm still in the second trimester, so I have time, but it would be a huge load off on my mind if I could figure this out soon. So, opinions, ladies?
202436 tn?1326474333 I would definitely move him and his crib into the new room and get him used to that first. It's going to be hard enough on him to sleep in a room without you and if you take the comfort of his crib away too, it might be too much at one time. I moved my son when he was 2 1/2 from crib to toddler bed. I was afraid he'd fall out, but they are so close to the ground and come with a side rail, it really wasn't an issue at all.
Avatar f tn I was always told center of the backseat. But if you have to put it on one side or the other, definitely passenger side.
Avatar f tn can you please give me any tips.and any tip on day routine vill help with two toddler and and a baby how will you handle. ...
Avatar n tn It's not weird at all to sleep with your kids, I would say every once in a while, just not a every night thing. When it becomes a habit the kid loses independence and so do you, actually, you start to depend on each other in ways you shouldn't anymore at these ages. And it's NEVER safe to Co sleep with an infant, never, so please don't do that with your new baby.
291233 tn?1347297526 i still have my daughter in the crib and plan on switching after baby arrives as she is still doing really well in there and i dont want to deal with a toddler up in the night right after bring home baby so once i have a routine ill battle the toddler sleep routine! i am nervous but i have a small house so i hear everything already! Im not sure if ill get a camera monitor or not? i think ill see how it plays out first?
Avatar f tn I live with my sister who has a 1 1/2 year old, we are not sure how he is going to react once my baby gets here in a few months. How did you ladies go about preparing toddler aged kids for a newborn being in the house?
Avatar f tn I am also wondering if she senses that the new baby is coming soon. She is also not being the best listener lately!
8752668 tn?1410368493 She did sleep in our bed from time to time. For naps we used her crib. About 1yr we turned it into a toddler bed. Now with the new baby, we bought our oldest a new toddler bed and converted the crib back. I plan on also using the pack n play so that we are not disturbing my daughter sleeping schedule, but at some point I want them to get use to sleeping in the same room. Just be extremely careful with them sleeping in bed with you. I used a boppy or pillows so we all had our own sleeping space.
4165941 tn?1353988628 I never let my son sleep in my bed, thought I did take naps with him on the couch, he slept in his bassinet next to my bed until he was 2.5months old. Then he went to his room and crib. I never had any problem getting him to sleep, by almost four months old he was sleeping through the night and he is now 17 months old sleeping in a toddler bed through the night. He actully will fun and get into his bed when hes sleepy. I'm 24w4d pregnant with my second and plan to do the same with this baby.
392430 tn?1382904781 I feel like i should get all this (potty, bed, ect) done before the new baby comes, but I am not ready either. The stairs are right next to Mady's room also so that really scares me.... I have been contemplating this the past month or so.
Avatar f tn t sleep now with us walking up the steps/closing a door, how is she going to sleep with a baby crying? We tried to reward the good sleeping/behavior. She has always responded well to this. When I try to bring it up she shakes her head and says "nope" I have given her all my attention this week as I figured she needed more 1:1 time & more reassurance, & that has not improved the situation.
Avatar f tn I have a toddler bed and a day bed... Running low on room with new baby. I was wondering if anyone skipped the toddler bed. I have a bed rail to put on the day bed and she wouldn't switch out of crib til 2 1/2 years old...
Avatar m tn Instead, it helped my older son feel like I was being fair. Because the older kids are often told, just a minute when there is a new baby. So if I say it to the baby and older son feels like he is getting that attention, then when I say "just a minute" to older son for the baby, he is more prone to do it. I would try to feed your baby in an enclosed room. We had a family room with a door and that's where I'd feed the baby . . . with the door closed.
1035252 tn?1427227833 So I totally sound like a first-time mommy here, but I have been wondering something....We've decided to use my daughter's old drop-side crib as a toddler bed (she's been using a twin mattress set on the floor) by simply removing the drop-side and scooting the open side up against our bed in the new house.
Avatar f tn Barely have enough energy to care for a toddler much less grow a new baby. But it can be done. Caring for a toddler who has set daily routine made this pregnancy just fly by. I'm can't believe I'm already heading into 3rd trimester. Take it one day at a time. Rest when your toddler let's you. Eat well. Drink lots of water. Take vitamins. Ask for help when you need it. Congrats and good luck!
5761111 tn?1373906251 Ahahab yeah been at my new job three weeks on tuesday and my naby is going to be 5 weeks on tuesday.
280369 tn?1316702041 I have been dealing with having Noah make the switch since Evan will be here in July. We are using a basic white toddler bed that was given to me for now but we will be buying him a nice twin sized bed in a couple weeks. I never would have bought a toddler bed since I have been told by pretty much every parent that they are a waste of money and plus, you will have to get a new crib mattress for it.
Avatar f tn My bf mom offered us a baby play pin from his sisters child and said her son slept in it when he was born and stuff and saying my child should..is that even something to sleep in? Should I just get a crib? Cause that sound a little odd to me but idk?
