392430 tn?1382904781 LOL! Ovaz you make me laugh :) I also wanted to add that we would most definitely kept Mark in a crib for as long as we could, but his poor knees kept getting stuck between the railings & he figured out how to climb out of it. We were basically forced to move to the twin bed.
11248659 tn?1469915817 Tons of issues with getting good sleep. I think you can say good bye to that for sometime. Sorry to rain on the party. I have two toddlers at home and am 35wks with baby 3. In addition to all the discomfort of pregnancy...my kids like to randomly wake up in middle of the night and run into my bedroom like it is morning. Hoping this new baby just sleeps well after he figures out his nights and days and then maybe I can get a few good hours to recuperate!
Avatar f tn I feel like sleeping just isnt an option between being unfomfortable, getting up every couple hours to pee, and getting our toddler back to sleep in the middle of the night. Not only do my pregnancy hormones make it worse, I break down crying alot. Lack of sleep doesnt help either. Does anyone else feel this way? Any opinions on what I can do to make things more managable?
Avatar n tn Hi, welcome to the forum, your child seems to have circardium related sleep disorder. It starts in childhood, onset of sleep problems tend to be associated with stress, anxiety, or circadian rhythm sleep disorders. They may also be associated with sleep disorders (eg, sleep apnea, periodic limb movements), medical conditions that cause pain, psychiatric diseases (eg, anxiety, depression).
Avatar f tn i switched my son in a toddler bed once he was walking and not moving around so much in bed....
349463 tn?1333571576 She's still in a crib and since she's kind of a short kid I don't think we have to worry about her getting out of the crib for awhile. Oh man does this mean I need a second crib???
193609 tn?1292180293 I am at my wits end that with little boy of mine! Ashtyn is 28 months old, and will not sleep in his toddler bed. He won't sleep with Mike and I either....he will ONLY sleep in his pack n play, no matter what we try! He is so hyper and active, if we put him in his bed, he will not calm down and start running around his room. If he is asleep and you move him to his bed, he immediately wakes up and starts screaming bloody murder!!! It is so frustrating.
Avatar f tn Sleep has always been a major problem and I have occassionally fallen out of bed but in the last 2 days I have fallen out of bed 3 times and I am hurting myself. I also sometimes just drop. A bit hard to explain, I have no warning and don't feel groggy or anything afterwards. I was on Avanza for sleep but all it did was give me horrific dreams, so I gave it about 6 months and still the same problems so I took myself off. But now I am back to very patchy sleep, I am tired during the day.
Avatar f tn Well if you get a convertable crib it will change to a toddler bed which is what I'll be getting.
Avatar f tn Dalton (21 month) wont fall asleep in his crib anymore and has been such a pain to get to bed, I know a toddler bed would solve our problems but I am scared to death of him getting up before us and getting into something. His new thing is to open the oven. He is gonna be the death of me, lol. Sorry I didnt mean to hyjack your post:~( Hope you get something that works.
Avatar f tn i got a crib from ikea that does convert to a toddler's bed for about 160. still need to get the mattress. not planning on converting it because i think ill be having my second before that happens. its simple and has clean lines, i got it in white since we aren't finding out what we are having so it seems the most unisex. It also got great reviews for safety and all that good stuff.
290867 tn?1333569278 all three of my kid's switched t a toddler bed between 12 and 15 months, The first few days i laided them in their beds and sat next to it to let them know I was there. with my oldest he did well if he knew i was in the hall and went to sleep although it did take a few weeks for him to fully adjust, my daughter was second and she took a lot of redirecting to get back in bed, but did just fine.
Avatar f tn Sorry mommas not exactly pregnancy related but when did u transition ur child to a toddler bed? My son is turning 2 shortly and I see alot of ppl doing around that time and I just do not feel comfortable with it.
Avatar f tn I never bought a toddler bed. It seemed like a waste of money and by the time they used them, they were already able to climb in and out of our bed anyway. So around 2 they go straight to twin.
4165941 tn?1353988628 I never let my son sleep in my bed but his bassinet was beside the bed for the first couple months.
Avatar f tn She has not been in her crib for over a year now. She's been in a toddler bed since last June, without issue, and we have never had any problems with the toddler bed, until last week.
3126253 tn?1345384121 t let me do much. Plus she is still in a toddler bed and its in our room because she refuses to sleep in her own room. She wakes up every hour when we were trying to get her to sleep in there by herself.
1450627 tn?1296616593 With my other pregnancies I would kick my husband out of bed and he would sleep on the couch or on my kids beds.
Avatar f tn My 23 month old son has recently started sleeping on the floor. My fiance and I put him to bed in his toddler bed for his nap or bed time and a while later we check on him and he's on the floor. He's been in his toddler bed since he was 18 months and never had this problem until now. Any suggestions on why he does it or what to do about it?
7758733 tn?1402589420 I think the fully decked pack and play sounds more convenient, I need a bassinet for when she is first born and and seems like a lot of pack and play are built to grow with baby , at least for awhile. And of course she will get her own toddler bed when the time is right. Thanks ladies, your inputs are always appreciated!
Avatar n tn Hope it gets better for everyone nothing worse than not getting enough sleep. I just dont function without it. Cry at the drop of a hat its furstrating.
