Avatar f tn initial post was here: http://www.medhelp.org/posts/Thyroid-Disorders/Scared--Not-sure-it-even-is-thyroid-/show/2508003 Only one of the several nodules is "suspicious" - it has blood flow, possible calcifications, and is hetergenous/partially cystic, BUT, at the time of the ultrasound it was only 6x6x4 mm, far too small for FNA. The largest measures just 7x5x3 mm, that is a nodule "hypoechoic nodular foci without fatty hila, blood flow or calcification".

Avatar f tn My thyroid was wrecked on treatment however I was on treatment for 72 weeks, so when it got crazy at week 24 I still had another 48 weeks of interferon to deal with. Some folks who don't have to treat as long have theirs rebound quite nicely. I am sure your endo doc will monitor this closely so he can adjust your meds if need be (I am on Synthroid .88mcg a day after my TWH went to 0.0 and then hyper to 6.2, now it's a perfect 2 with the meds.
Avatar m tn One that comes to mind is low thyroid function, what is called hypothyroidism. Low thyroid function causes fatigue, weight gain, cold intolerance, constipation, and memory/concentration problems in addition to several other symptoms. Another possibility is anemia, which can cause severe fatigue and thinking trouble. In addition, other causes include certain vitamin deficiencies. These can all be diagnosed with simple blood tests.
Avatar n tn Since that time I have gained weight that I cannot lose, my cholesteral level has risen to a danger zone and now take medication also B12 injections. I suffer from fatigue, memory loss, cold sensitivety and other problems. I recently had a FSH test done and was told the levels indicate I am still producing estrogen.
Avatar f tn Hi All, If you are pre-tx or post-tx and suffering from fatigue then there is a good chance that your adrenals are struggling because of your chronic infection. This is even more likely if you have had HCV for a long time, as I did. I hope I am now on the way to SVR but it is too early to know, anyway my fatigue did not go away after tx. I came to the knowledge of adrenal stress via looking at the thyroid hormone deficiency that I had.

Avatar m tn hi , i am 21 years old male with hypothyroidism caused by hashimoto , after one week of eating multivitamin , i felt pain on thyroid zone , is this normal , or i must concerned , i thought i need to take this supplement because it improved my health ..
Avatar f tn I have had hypothyroid symptoms for about a decade or more, with family history of thyroid problems. My TSH has been nearly borderline for years. Only this month has my TSH gone OVER the MARK into subclinical hypothyroid zone. I'm soon to see my doctor and hope for further testing, hypo diagnosis and thyroid medicine. My question is, what conditions/diseases could be causing this and what are all the tests that could narrow down the cause? Thank you.
Avatar n tn It definaltly could be partly to blame on your thyroid. I had to have my thyroid removed some years back and I know if you too much thyroid hormone it can cause tachycardia. But I think you should not worry, once you get back into exercise it should get better. I have not cardio in months due to my SVT so I am sure I will be in bad shape when I start back after my ablation next week...
Avatar f tn TSH is a pituitary hormone that is affected by many variables. It is totally inadequate as a diagnostic, by which to diagnose a thyroid patient. At best it is an indicator, to be considered along with more important indicators such as symptoms and also the levels of the actual biologically active thyroid hormones, free T3 and free T4. FT3 is the most important because it is the most active and studies have shown that FT3 correlated best with hypo symptoms, while TSH did not correlate at all.
Avatar f tn ve noticed a pattern with any type of level (blood pressure, temp, cortisol, thyroid labs). They only seem concerned when levels are too high, but not too low. When I say my bp or temp are too low on one day for me, they blow me off. A new endo told me she only does saliva tests when cortisol is too high or she only tests RT3 when someone has liver problems. Why are low levels not a concern for anyone???
Avatar f tn Anyone know when your out of the danger zone...
4254325 tn?1355663975 When were you told the safe zone is? (dropped risk for mc) I was told after 2 months...
Avatar f tn How do you do the zone code. Where do you get it from .
Avatar m tn My biopsy came back with a diagnosis of Follicular neoplasm. My blood work have been fine regarding thyroid levels. The nodule is hard and measures 3.7 CM. Any ideas?
Avatar n tn Fat - burning zone is a myth. There are a lot references witch confirm that aerobic training does not improve fat loss. My philosophy for fat loss is - train to keep muscle mass - eat well to loose fat. Also the human body is not a calorie-meter. A lot overweigth people eat low amounts of food.
Avatar n tn told me I had a small goiter, I thought great finally an explanation. He is treating me with thyroid medication which I have been on for many years, but increased the dosage. Now today my lips fill numb. Is normal for having a goiter?
Avatar n tn I would like to know is there any food that I need to avoid since I have thyroid cancer? This discussion is related to <a href='/posts/show/264741'>Food & Medicine intake</a>.
567985 tn?1216740438 The Zone Diet by Barry Sears PHD and The Thyroid Diet by Mary J Shomon both are very helpful. Unfortunately, just because we are on meds that weight doesn't fall off us the way we think it should. We will always be metabolically challenged because of the fact that we have hypothyroidism.
Avatar f tn I have been on levothyroxine since I was first diagnosed with an under active thyroid. At that time my only symptom was not thinking clearly. I would be very confused and felt like I was in the zone. I have not seen anyone since 2012, because I had no idea that I had an issue until I started looking at this website. And every month I feel physically worse and worse. I have an appointment finally with an endocrinologist coming up soon.
