Avatar m tn Have you had a diagnosis of what might be wrong first? If, for example, your excess heat is caused by Thyroid problems, then only treating the Thyroid will really work. If it's caused by Menopause, then a different herbal combination might be needed. You might have low-grade fever, caused by any number of things, or an infection somewhere.... I would definitely recommend going to a conventional doctor for a full diagnosis first.

Avatar f tn This can be one of the GERD sensations and symptoms. It's not always heartburn as the esophagus is long and can send some non-descript feelings along its length when it's irritated such as pain, lump in throat, tightness, nausea, "flutter," etc. Drugs and food can affect the sphincter and allow stomach acid to backflow from the stomach to irritate the lower esophagus.

148588 tn?1465778809 It was three years ago in 2012, when—for the first time ever—Chinese foreign investment in America lapped investment flows in the other direction to China. Asian investment in America is nothing new. Japanese companies led the way in the 1980s, partly to evade tariffs. Avoiding international taxes on goods again is partly why Chinese businesses are coming to America. But Chinese investment in the U.S.
Avatar f tn Kidney qi is commonly associated with fear and anxiety in Chinese medicine and spleen with strength and weakness in certain areas. So the better question to ask is, over time, is whether the treatment you're doing is working. If so, keep going; if not, try a different approach, something the naturopath probably will do. I would venture that your acid reflux isn't related to the other things -- it's more likely dietary in nature.
Avatar f tn "body immunity" - cut soy, soda pop, sugar, limit unnatural processed foods, eat better. But - the above will not improve thyroid levels if you have Hashi - it wont keep the hormone levels in your bodies 'preferred' range. At the start of Hashi many experience a 'roller coaster' of levels. Its difficult, but you need thyroid med with Hashi. Just 'in range' means nothing as many of us have found out.
Avatar f tn s and as long as the thyroid is still functioning. For many people iodine found in seaweed and other dietary changes solves this problem without sacrificing your thyroid. So again, you might want to explore this further.
Avatar f tn It was wrong with me, it said I was having a boy and I am actually having a girl. My mother in law really believed in the Chinese calendar, and you could tell he was a little disappointed when we found out it was wrong. But, anyways, the Chinese calendar has a 50% probability to be right, so it will work for some of you.
377296 tn?1281095438 I have read in numerous places that soy can temporarily add to the inflamation of the thyroid gland. This can result in hypo or hyper fluctuations. The more 'trashed' your thyroid is from antibodies may make this more evident for some people. I did read on some site all about the benefits of soy - four doctors said it was great stuff. I take that with a grain of salt. Doctors dont know everything, it they did MedHelp would not exist.
Avatar m tn -(Do it before eating) Push air forcefully out through the nose about once per second. Stomach will itself go in(contract in). The breathing in(through the nose) will happen automatically. Establish a rhythm and do for 20 to 30 minutes twice a day. Children under 15 years – do 5 to 10 minutes twice a day. Not for pregnant women. Seriously ill people do it gently. Thyroid point – press (50 times) the fleshy bit on palm between the base of thumb and wrist on both hands.
Avatar f tn Helloooo yest as said the food contains MSG bad for the thyroid. As I live in Hong Kong MSG can be found in most sauces and is also used by adding it into the table salt containers found on tables in restaurants. The MSG enhances the flavour of foods and I have even made a point of taking my own Himalayan sea salt with me when I visit any restaurants. I was told that a number of restaurants add MSG to their table salt and it is a given in Chinese food.
891800 tn?1241426992 Have you had any tests to see whether or not you have peripheral vascular disease or P.V.D.? My grandmother had this. It can be hereditary and show up as early as teenage years. I don't know that she had trouble as a younger person, but as she got older, it would hurt her feet, etc. to take a walk. Do you have cholesterol issues? I don't say this is what you have, just might be something you want rule out.

Avatar n tn This is a very old thread and Smilerdeb is no longer posting on the forum. Not sure why you want the testosterone pellets. While testosterone is produced in very small amounts, by the ovaries, it is predominantly a male sex hormone. It's not a thyroid medication; nor is it usually used as a weight loss aid. There are adverse side effects.

Avatar f tn This is a slight increase in the size of the cyst -- if there is discomfort and draining the cyst does not result in a decrease the size, then removing that part of the thyroid is usually recommended. After such surgery, some people do need thyroid hormone treatment, but with proper thyroid hormone replacement - fertility is not usually impacted. Pain in the cyst does not mean it's cancer.
435737 tn?1204305839 I recently read an article on PubMed about a Chinese study regarding children born to mothers who have autoimmune thyroid disease. The study found that those children had much poorer social and cognitive functioning compared to those born to healthy mothers. Could this be a causitive factor for autism? My youngest son has a diagnosis of PDD-NOS and I have Hashimoto's disease and possible Hashitoxicosis.
