Avatar f tn Have you had your thyroid checked? As the thyroid is directly related to hormones, this could be the culprit for some of what you describe. Too fast or too slow, the thyroid can cause problems. Have you set up a physical or work up by your ob/gyn?? I really would at this point. I had hypothyroidism in my late 20's and was producing too much estrogen. I had an odd cycle but more in lines of absense of periods and bouts of pms that would last 3 months (my poor loved ones!).
988694 tn?1332359479 I am not reaching menopause or anything like that, but I am suspicious about a sex hormonal imbalance. I am taking thyroid medicine for hypothyroidism and still have not found optimal dose. About 6 months ago I started to have lots of headaches, everyday. I also started to spot before my period, maybe a week before and now two days before. I have a lot of pain when having my period and headaches jut leave me useless. My bowels also changed during this time.
Avatar f tn HORMONES are contolled by the THYROID, so if your Hormones are out of whak...something is causing it...aka THYROID...you should probably rethink the TSH level...even though your fT4 is normal, your TSH is slightly high, which is where I am right now, and I KNOW I feel allout of sorts...you should do a little more research on Hashi's....
Avatar f tn m asking is that do any of you think that these symptoms could be caused by extreme hormone imbalance? No one has ever tested my hormones before. I find it weird that they all started almost a month to the day I quit birth control. Also, my period was never regular when I was younger, I matured late and would sometimes go 6 months without getting my period. I was also anorexic during high school which didn't help. But I am no longer and eat very healthy.
Avatar f tn and a few other blood tests including thyroid function. I had my thyroid recently tested out of my own pocket and of course the results were normal but I am symptomatic. My doc would only do the blood test for TSH and F3, F4. He said there was absolutely no correlation between corisol and weight gain (huh?) and i need to get off the internet. Am I just doomed to feel horrible (and fat) forever and to live with this wicked inflammation or should I see a doc who specializes in adrenal problems?
Avatar f tn Normally if you request your gyno to check your hormones they normally do it no problem. They will simply do a little blood tests and you should get your results back in about 2-3 days.
Avatar m tn when i was ten i experience hormonal imbalance. many changes happens pubic hair started to grow, i even grow tall, my voice changes which is very unnatural for a person like me. Due to lack of money my mother didn`t put interst on it. I grow as a happy and jolly person even if i am conscious facing my problem. I laugh even if i`m not happy just to be happy and just to hide what ihave..Would somebody know what is my disease? pls. help... plssssss..
Avatar f tn My naturopath gets me to go to the walk-in clinic for bloodwork as I would have to pay for them with him, we did find out couple months back that I was very slightly hyperthyroid, he gave me some thyroid capsules called BioThy, and it fixed that, my last bloodtest the thyroid was normal! He also told me I have BPPV, but that usually comes when I turn my head certain ways, look up too fast, turning over in bed, etc. This dizziness I have now feels like something else.
865758 tn?1285952904 Does the thyroid cause all these other imbalances as well? My endo suggested peri menopause because of the Hashimoto's and I have all the symptoms but afraid that it is just the thyroid messing everything up. He talked about possible estrogen replacement but I don't want to go there if not necessary.
Avatar n tn It may be a cortisol imbalance - but to say Cushing's is the issue with no full work up is just not right. I think the poster who said menopause may be on something. I guess your age could tell more on that. What are your cycles yet. Obviously - there is a hormal imbalance going on. Cortisol imbalances is a collector in the lower abdomen and face- chin. Hair can form on face with a estrogen imbalance produced in the sex glands.
Avatar n tn t understand how they can diagnose a hormonal imbalance from a u/s? Did your dr do any bloodwork to come to that conclusion?
1134902 tn?1296066144 anywho my question is...could this be caused by a hormone imbalance brought on by my intense workout? even tho Im only spotting, Im still cramping. My family doc is booked up until the new year, so I can't see her anytime soon.
Avatar n tn It sounds very much like a thyroid imbalance. Run it all by your doctor and see what s/he thinks. A simple blood test could rule it out.

Avatar f tn Hi all, I have been having mild pins and needles randomly all over my body (mostly the limbs) for the past week. Went to a GP and blood test showed low TSH level (0.46). Had another blood test done to confirm L3 & L4 level and am waiting for the results. Just wondering if pins & needles is a common symptom for low TSH level? Should I push for an appointment with neurologist if my thyroid function seems fine, cause I'm pretty worried about if my symptoms are caused by neuro probs.
233053 tn?1321643821 I hope everyone is doing well. I have a question about hormonal imbalance. After my last MC My hubby and I have been trying to get pregnant for 6 months. Right after my MC i noticed a significant drop in my sex drive(it made it difficult to TTC). I also developed fibrocystic breast(breast tenderness) in my right breast alon with so many other symptoms such as hair loss and iiregular periods. Today my doc said I should have blood work.
Avatar n tn m not a doctor (nor do I play one on TV) but from all that I have read, hypertension, anxiety, depression and hair loss could lead to a hormone imbalance caused by your thyroid. Have they tested your Free T4, Free T3 and thyroid antibodies? That would show if it is a thyroid issue.
Avatar f tn I also have hormonal imbalance, and I discovered it when I visited a endocrinologist with my two problems. The results of my analyses are these: These hormones were in normal range - Antibodies to thyroid peroxidase Anti - TPO (6.34 IU/ml), PRL-prolactin(210.5 mlU/l), Testosteron (1.43 nmol/l), Cartisol(blood) (424.3nmol/L), Luteinizing hormon (3.61mlU/ml, 4th day of menstrual cycle), Follicle-Stimulating hormone (4.19 mlU/ml 8th day of menstrual cycle). These hormones were high: 1. U-fr.
Avatar n tn Is your doctor only treating your TSH? if so it is not the best way to control your symptoms or thyroid numbers. Does your doctor do Free T3 and Free T4? those will be more helpful in determining where you're at and why you feel the way you do. It sounds like you have had some high dosage increase/decreases in a very short amount of time, it seems to me that you are not being treated appropriately especially with the dosage changes in only a 6 month time frame.
Avatar n tn is essential to balance blood sugar - deficiency is strongly linked to hypoglycemia, insulin resistance, pre diabetes and diabetes; a common deficiency symptom with a thyroid imbalance (notably hypothyroidism); causes high blood pressure. Avatar f tn There are definate symptoms of emotional imbalance when you have thyroid disease. I do not think it is med related - more a TSH hormones level as grizzelda said. When it is off alot of weird emotions can come up along with other hormone levels. I went into perimenopause early... just imagine the emotions that happen during that!! argh!! I can't say for certain really any herbal rems that can help until you are stable with your thyroid. Until then experimenting isn't wise.
