Avatar m tn Blood work is every 6 months on average. Though I was tested in July 2011 and then again in September when I was ill with pneumonia. Most recent was yesterday. My levels only changed from September till now. How do I tell a doctor that is a Harvard Professor to boot, that she is not testing correctly? The hospital has guidelines for testing Thyroid.
Avatar f tn I went for my regular checkup recently and had blood work done and it came back that my chloride was a little low. My dr. did not say anything about it. I noticed on my paperwork after I got home. It was real low,but was a little. Does anyone know why your chloride levels would be low?
1398693 tn?1343684738 While writing you I was thinking that it would be a good idea to compile all my thyroid blood work in to a spread sheet so I can see how my levels fluctuate. This is what I have for this year. I'm hoping it can give me better sight and understanding because I am still struggling to understand all this. January TSH 3.78 0.27 - 4.2 FT3 2.2 2.6 - 4.4 FT4 0.94 0.7 - 1.7 February TSH 0.90 0.27 - 4.2 FT3 2.5 2.6 - 4.4 FT4 1.40 0.7 - 1.7 March TSH 2.39 0.27 - 4.
Avatar f tn Shop around, thyroid ultrasound prices vary a lot depending on who does them. Hospital ---> very expensive.
Avatar f tn i have hashimotos and had most of my thyroid taken out almost a year ago, i am always tired, dry skin, brain fog and i am always cold. My TSH 1.72, what other blood work should i be asking for.
Avatar f tn , if 2.0 were the bottom line of the blood test, I would be at 2.5 or so. A few months ago my blood work was in a good range. I take Armour (1 gram). My question is could the low blood range have anything to do with the right nodule growing about 3mm in a couple of months? Your answers have given me several questions and summarizations I am going to speak with my Endo about. Thank you so much again. I really do appreciate the time you spend answering people's questions.
257333 tn?1212444612 Was hypo shortly after Rai treatment for graves. Taking thyroid med and latest blood work shows that I am hyper again with a reading of 16 for the t4. What is the t4 supposed to read and is 125mcg of thyroid med too much?
Avatar f tn Keep an eye on your thyroid results. These drugs can affect the thyroid so your thyroid should be monitored closely. Avatar f tn What is .99 and .98? Usually thyroid blood work is broken up into t3 and t4 and the counts that have to maintain between certain levels. Maybe you should see an endocrinologist. Or internist.
956561 tn?1246631046 Hi, new here.. My blood work shows low t3 and norml high end t4 .. I also have a high thyroid antibody test result suggestive of Hoshi.. had an ultrasound done as well. I suffered with racing hart rate, feeling dizzy and faint, weak, numbness, COLD and then I began having memory issues and black outs.. had an mri of the brain and eeg (all norm) and now I find myself hot.. its like I go back and forth, is this normal?
Avatar f tn So if my blood work says hyperthroid how can my scan show underactive? This is confusing..
Avatar f tn If so, post them here or go to the thyroid forum. Have you had any thyroid ultrasounds, thyroid antibody tests to rule out thyroid? Docs tried to pin Shingles on me. Then Fibro. I knew it had to be something else. Did the research as to why my vitamin D and B12 would drop despite the fact that I live in the land of sunshine! I have Hashimoto's Auto-Immune thryoiditis.
Avatar m tn I just got back my blood work results. total cholesterl was 209...hdl 37..ldl 145 ..Doctor wants to put me on medication...Shouldn't I first try to adjust my eating habits and exercise more??
Avatar m tn The Dr is wrong. I only know of a single drug (there could be others I don't know about) that uses no fillers or dyes. And that is a drug called Tirosint. It is a liquid gel cap. ALL other pills that are made use a powder and the pills are stamped out. And that powder is more than just pure hormone. There ARE fillers and binders. I stand to be corrected by those who know more.
Avatar f tn they sent me for thyroid blood work. They took me off Requip, but I had another episode (so they ruled that out) I am looking at some blood work results & comparing to last years (not available further back). I understand most are "within" the range, but some are borderline. Could you please look at them and tell me what you think? Is there any pattern in the items changing, such as related to hormones, liver, thyroid, etc? T3 Uptake 1.04 (.72-1.24) Thyroxine 6.08 (4.5-12.
894666 tn?1274097896 Interesting question......I'm not sure if I have the answer. I do know I took blood test once after I took thryroid med in early morning, and it showed improvement on my thyroid function. I suspect that my blood work result would look worse if I hadn't taken it before testing. G'day.
4670047 tn?1375730401 The nurse I spoke with did not have the protocol for blood work on geno2b. However she did know there was one missing, that would be the 12 week test. Realistically it's the 4 week. Also the Dr. Is out of town so if he were to order another would it be worth it? I have my order to get my EOT (end of treatment) test in May. What bearing at this point would it have on my results of treatment to get another HCV/PCR. So the 4 week and 12 week were considered combined.
