Avatar f tn ve been in tx for 65 weeks - 7 to go. Vision has deteriorated considerably, lots of wretched sx, and was diagnosed 2 days ago with a nodule of some sort on my thyroid. Of greater concern - I just found out today at an eye exam that I have lots of bleeding in my right eye, which is affecting my peripheral far right vision. Here's the rub: my Dr is out on medical leave, and the RN, who has been my contact person, is away on vacation.
Avatar n tn Hello all, I have been diagnosed with Generalized anxiety disorder and bipolar disorder, but I have been struggling for months with appetite problems, rapid weight loss, decreased vision, muscle spasms and twitching, headaches, and just about every other symptom of hyperthyroidism, but when I went to the doctor last (a few months ago when it all began) they took a blood sample to check and said that my levels of whatever they check for were normal.
1129232 tn?1360800358 I was just back at the dr today and he said that the vision problems and dizziness are usually not a symptom of Hashimoto's. He suggested i might also have lupus and did blood testing for that as well as did more blood tests to re-check my TSH, FT4 and FT3 levels. i get my blood test results back in a week. Has anyone else had similiar issues?

Avatar f tn s I have seen have done blood work and ruled out thyroid problems, low iron, diabetes and systemic infection. I had a concussion 6 months ago and one doc said it could be related. I am really worried and haven't been able to work much due to this. Anyone else out there experience any of this before??
Avatar f tn Saw my Opthomologist and she took different test and checked me over very thoroughly. She felt that my Thyroid could have a lot to do with my eye problems and also mentioned the possibility that it could be a neurological/optical problem. She's going to do a field of vision on my eyes to see if I still have the range of vision. Basically, she's saying it's either caused by an Endocrine problem or a Neurological problem.
Avatar f tn In the past few weeks I have had very severe joint and muscular pain, and a lot of discomfort in my neck and shoulder. Bad headache and a pain behind my left eye. My eyes was red and irritated for a few days as well. My ASO was 380, Sed rate 25, TSH 12.7. One doctor said thyroid, another rheumatic fever (which i have mentioned in another question i posted). Could ALL of my symptoms be related to the Thyroid?
Avatar f tn What kind of eye problems do you have? Thyroid eye disease symptoms first start as a lot of tearing and a dry, gritting feeing in the eyes. Later symptoms include the bulging eyeballs that most have heard about, and sometimes, double vision. It isn't normally associated with poor vision unless caused by double vision or pressure on the optic nerve(which is very rare).
Avatar n tn I am taking 150 mg of Armour which brings my TSH very low but I still have low thyroid symptoms, EXTREME fatigue and continued weight gain. Is it possible that I have a conversion problem that makes it unavailable? Does your body have enough ability to convert T4 to T3 without a thyroid?

Avatar n tn Is a droopy eyelid with vision problems (focusing) related to Thyroid; and if so, is it Hyper or Hypo? Has anyone had this problem, and what tests do you recommend? Thank you!
Avatar f tn Sometimes I get really lightheaded and my vision goes black, I can hardly stand, and I can hear my heart beat in my ears. I have random, unprovoked flutterings in my chest like something is beating to get out. I even can feel the pulse in my neck pounding sometimes. What worries me the most is the chest pain. It comes and goes, and happens daily.
Avatar f tn What is the connection between thyroid problems and heart problems from medications? I have been taking synthroid for about seven years, currently on 125mg. I have been having problems with my heart rate and beat. It goes very fast and then goes very slow. I have a lot of irregular beats and now my cardiologist wants me to do an ablation but I am convinced that something else is causing this. I have just gotten my thyroid levels checked and they are fine.
Avatar f tn I have tried multiple meds such as antidepressants and Gabapentin... always have had multiple side effects. Things like heart palpitation's, anziety and vision troubles. I can take xanax and Soma with no problems. My question is "could it be the Armour Thyroid that I take that causes the trouble?" I also have a movement disorder labeled as tremors/non-epileptic seizures which also gets worse with antidepressants.
Avatar n tn I have symptoms of shortness of breath, a dry cough, extreme fatigue, short term memory loss, extreme joint pain and stiffness, poor balance, weakness at times, vision gets dark at times, neck and throat soreness. I'm going to my doctor because I can't function with these symptoms. Can you tell me which meds can cause this and what other meds I could take. Thank you.
Avatar n tn The eye problems are likely not directly related to your thyroid problems or the replacement hormones you are taking. They sound like they are caused by Graves Eye Disease (also known as Thyroid Eye Disease) which is caused by different anti-bodies than the ones that caused your Graves Thyroid Disease. These antibodies cause a fat-like substance to be deposited in the muscles behind the eyes, which eventually push the eye out of the socket, causing the characteristic stare.
Avatar m tn Are thyroid problems hereditary? I’m 37 and I have been having problems with feeling like crap for the past 3 months I have been in the hospital for, four day. I have lab after labs done I keep asking them to really check into my thyroid. Here are some of my symptoms I’m tired all the time even after 8-9 hours of sleep. I’m fatigued all the time, depressed moody.
Avatar f tn It did actually relieve a little of my joint pain, but I still had other numerous problems, blurred vision, migraines, IBS, pins and needles, and chronic fatigue. Then an LLMD diagnosed me via IGENIX and CD 57 test and I have Lymes. So I can't really say the medicine gave me those problems because LYMES does too. All I can say is that it may make you a little nauseous in the beginning and to get regular eye exams (mine were normal). Good luck!
Avatar f tn I have what seems to be the same vision problems as "fibromed". My vision gets blurry and I feel the need to rub them -- it seems like there is a film of saran wrap over my eyeballs and I can't peel it off. My eyes get more tired as the day goes on.
Avatar n tn I don’t want to make the eyes worse since it has already caused double vision and I am having to wear prism glasses. The endocrinologist wants me off of the Methimazole because it can cause a serious blood disorder. Has anyone been through this situation, and what is your advice? Thanks for any help.
Avatar f tn also i feel like i am inside myself and my vision is off.. could this all be related to my thyroid? if it is will.. will the problems go away once my thyroid is back to normal.. they do have me on levothyroxine 75 mg. only been on it for about two months..
Avatar n tn "So, for example, a C5 C6 disc that is herniated will affect the nerves that control the muscles in the shoulders, arms, hands, neck, as well as other areas of the body such as the head, eyes, ears, and thyroid gland. Because of this, if there is any pressure applied to these nerves (whether it be from a herniated disc, or some other condition), it is very common that you will not only experience neck pain, but also symptoms related to these other areas.
Avatar f tn I ended up going to an eye doctor cause my vision started to blur, but my left eye and left nostril stopped running like a faucet lol, I haven't had a problem lately. My vision is back to normal, but every time I go swimming it seems to miss with my hearing. And after the eye doctor he told me to take antibiotics for strep throat before it developed again, and it did form and it went away. It keeps coming and going hurts to eat sometimes but I don't see white on it.
Avatar n tn If I close one eye the problem does not change it is in both eyes and I also experience blurred vision but can blink it away. I had an MRI in the middle of last December I experience no headaches. I am 20 years old and work 60+ hours a week on a construction job.
552767 tn?1262188176 Or did she order a thyroid ultrasound, since she thought your thyroid looked swollen? Did she also order T3 and T4 blood tests (see thyroid forum for someone else's experience in this regard). With your blurred vision & menstrual problems, etc. has anyone ever done an MRI of your pituitary? Have they tested other endocrine function or just the TSH? Have you ever had exploratory laporoscopic surgery to look for endometriosis?
Avatar f tn I was diagnosed with Graves Thyroid disease in 2003 and had raidiation iodine treatment for this. My thyroid has never mellowed out to say the least. I started having other issues a year ago this month double vision, numbness on my entire rite side but only complete numbness is spots. I was sent to an optic nuerologist and had an MRI in May of last year.. it showed lesions that are common with ms but also ( as all of us in limbo land know) with many other conditions..
