Avatar m tn 86 nmol/L I am due back at the doctors at the end of the week and I just want to be a bit firmer/clearer as to what my next steps will be I originally went just before christmas to discuss a very noticeable increase in thirst and urination and appetite and was tested for Diabetes but this was normal but he did once again say it could be my thyroid and this is a follow up appointment. I am 28 Male no real health issues with the exception of the above.
Avatar f tn I am 25 and recently, i started experiencing frequent urination. I had side pain for a day so i got urine test done and it came out normal. The doctor still prescribed me antibiotic (Enoxabid) for UTI but it did not improve my condition. Now i continue experiencing frequent urination. Every 1.5 to 2 hours, i feel the urge to urinate and since the last 2-3 days i am also experiencing slight burning in the vagina.
Avatar f tn t know if you take thyroid replacement but if so get a panel done now. Frequent urination was my first signal and ended up toxic and nearly did not survive. To all, do not assume thyroid is safe as one can get ill between levels.
Avatar n tn This has been more recently accompanied with pain/burning during urination, and especially strong pain as I finish and clear the last bit. In terms of erection questions. I don't consistently get satisfying erections, even at times when I feel like I should. I rarely have them in the mornings, and mostly those that I do get early are not very strong. More recently I have been even having trouble getting one with self-stimulation.
Avatar f tn Antidiuretic hormone (ADH or vasopressin) is a hormone produced by the hypothalamus and stored in the posterior pituitary gland. ADH deficiency is known as diabetes insipidus. Symptoms are frequent thirst and urination. Treatment is desmopressin (synthetic replacement for vasopressin) - taken 2 to 3 times a day.
Avatar m tn Hi there, Since you mention that you feel the need to urinate very frequently and especially after drinking water I suspect that you suffer from a condition called Polyuria which essentially means the increased frequency of micturition or urination. There are several causes of polyuria like diabetes, hormone imbalances, renal failure etc with the most common being diabetes. However a sense of urgency or increased frequency can be seen in individuals with a urinary tract infection too.
Avatar f tn Take your medicine as prescribed by your doctor. If you have blood sugar and thyroid condition, as long as they are controlled and your doctor knows about these conditions, there is nothing to be worried about. If the symptoms persist, it is best that you discuss this with your doctor for proper management.. Take care and do keep us posted.
Avatar f tn In my opinion, investigations like kidney functions, blood sugar levels, ultrasound lower abdomen ,intravenous pyelography ,prostate specific antigen blood test, thyroid function tests and cystoscopy may be needed to confirm a diagnosis. I sincerely advise you to consult a urologist or nephrologist and get yourself evaluated so that a confirmatory diagnosis can be made. I hope that helps. Take care and regards.

Avatar n tn 140% baseline) The endo has concluded that the insomnia is not related to thyroid, and referred us back to our PCP and his Psychiatrist (whom he was seeing for social anxiety). However, he continues to battle some pretty big symptoms.

Avatar m tn I am suffering from frequent high volume urination both during the day and night. During the day I can go every half to three quarters of an hour and in the evening I usually go every hour on the hour. I do suffer from sleep apnea (untreated) also which leaves me exhausted every day.
Avatar f tn I went to a urologist a little while ago and they told me I was emptying my bladder all of the way but unfortunately that was the only test I really had done since I lost my health insurance. A few months later was diagnosed with a hypoactive thyroid and was put on synthroid but other than that I really have no other health issues. While meeting with the doctor about the thyroid, I asked him about the frequency and told him that I thought I had an overactive bladder.
Avatar f tn Still doing tests with the GI doctor and more tests with a urologist (constant urination). By the way, for all the salt i eat, my sodium level is okay (end of low range) and surprisingly enough i do not retain water. Can the salty foods and meat cravings be causing all of this? The only medication i am on is for thyroid. Here are my current symptoms: weight loss, low weight, salty food cravings( but never use table salt), meat cravings, constant urination, muscle aches in thighs/legs.
1829346 tn?1318264475 Your doctor should also test thyroid peroxidase antibodies (TPOab), thyroglobulin antibodies (TGab) and thyroid stimulating immunoglobulin (TSI) to see if the cause of yours is an autoimmune disease, the most prevalent cause of thyroid dysfunction in the developed world. TSI is the definitive test for Graves' disease (hyper). If you are truly hyperthyroid (your symptoms actually sound more hypO to me), then iodine deficiency is unlikely.
Avatar n tn re having, drink enough pure water (not too much) and live a healthy life. Excercise daily and take a moderate amount of supplements. And do some detox once in a while.
Avatar f tn The last two months have been hell for me. Constant urination (15-20) times a day, my urination is very dilluted, i do not drink more than 36 oz of fluid a day. I become real thirsty at night so i get up and drink cold orange juice, but then continue going to the bathroom. Not a diabetic. Kidneys okay, ADH hormone okay. Here are my current symptoms: Thighs, hips and calves cramp and ache. Have lost weight from 121 to 104 since Jan 10. Have lost muscle mass and inches in the hips and thighs.
849762 tn?1288184748 I've been super tired most days like I could just go to bed and sleep forever. This has been on going for weeks. I'd get up in the am and feel fine forr about 2 hrs then I'm tired likeni never slept. I don't have good night sleeps due to frequent urination and so maybe it is due to that perhaps. I know I need to be more active since sitting doing nothing tends to bring on the sleepiness. Has anyone else gone thru this?
Avatar m tn You may also look into getting your thyroid tested. Believe it or not, this can be a side effect of thyroid problems. Hormones can be a culprit as well, but look for treatable medical condition too. Getting enough sleep at night can help, but also the weather can play a role. If you normally have a lot of hair and the weather suddenly got extreemly hot, some hair loss can be expected. Talk to your family doctor and see what they say.
Avatar n tn fatigue, eye problems (swelling, pain, extreme sensitivity to light, and redness) arm numbness and tingly, burning pain off and on in my right thigh, frequent urination at night, I get really hot and start to sweat and I have noticed muscle weakness. I just feel like sometimes people think you make these kind of things up. I just want to feel like myself again. Any advice on what kind of doctor I should be seeing or what my symptoms sound like would be of great help. I appreciate your time.
