Avatar f tn what is your temperature. ? just checked mine and it is 95.4.. the lowest was 95.5 a few weeks ago and hovers around 96.
Avatar m tn When i wake in the morning, i usually have a temperature of 94.5F. During the course of the day it goes up to up about 97.8F. At that point i do feel what is similar to heat flushes and general malaise. I am a 35yr old male. Based on the above scenario, would i be considered as having a fever?
Avatar f tn If you have a child thermometer, take readings of his temperature and write them down and the date and time that you took the reading, this will also help your doctor should you see him. Best wishes.
Avatar m tn My temperature usually drops below 95, often to 92 or 91.6. I put on a sweat suit and wool hat and can usually get back to sleep. A dual-control electric blanket helps somewhat but not entirely. My blood sugar is normal at that time, but blood pressure is high (for me--150/80). I have talked to 5 doctors about this (2 different endocrinologists), had scads of blood tests (thyroid is okay), and lately had MRI to check hypothalamus--also OK. My doctors say my meds aren't the cause.
Avatar m tn Body temp is simply measuring the furnace and the engine of you body. And since Thyroid controls virtually every single aspect of the metabolism and the rate of the furnace burning. Measuring temp is as good a gauge as anything. he further advocates treating and medicating until the symptoms go away. But uses basal body temp as a gauge to know when you are getting close to the right thyroid level. My wifes body temp is barely ever above 97.0 to maybe 97.4.
Avatar f tn Hi there - have you noticed any swelling in your thyroid area and have you ever had your thyroid checked as this amongst other possibilites may have something to do with your body temperature. - I'm not a doctor or specialist just a sufferer trying to get to the bottom of my symptoms. Hope it helps - let me know if you have any test results back - good luck and take care.
Avatar m tn This weekend it was hot and I was outside quite a bit sweating profusely. I decided to take my temperature and it was 97.7F. It got as high as 98.1F but that was it. Oddly 98.1F was when i was inside not sweating but generally hot from the air temperature. The other thing I want to throw in is my resting pulse rate is generally around 55bpm - 60bps. I know top athletes have low resting pulse rates. I am in decent shape but not a marathon runner.
Avatar f tn You should at least start with the biologically active thyroid hormones, free T3 and free T4 (not total T3 and total T4), plus the one that doctors always run, which is TSH. If FT3 and FT4 are in the lower half of their reference ranges this is usually consistent with being hypo. Dependent upon results of initial testing you may need to expand testing to include thyroid antibodies, TPO ab and TG ab, as well as Vitamin D and Vitamin B.
Avatar f tn If possible, I would see your doctor and have him/her run some tests to see if you have a low/high thyroid and what your estrogen/progesterone levels are. Also, if you are under an abnormal amount of stress, you may have issues like this.
Avatar f tn I have had my thyroid tested before I was diagnosed with lupus. My thyroid function is fine.
484160 tn?1343397921 With a TSH of 8.65 and your low temperature, it is pretty clear that you are hypothyroid, so you need to find a good thyroid doctor and get started on some medication. You should insist that the doc check your free T3 and free T4, since they are most important for determining your dosage. Don't let the doc prescribe based on TSH alone.
Avatar f tn For 3 yrs, my temperature is bethwen 35.8 C.to 36.4 C. and my thyroïd is playing yoyo , the TSH is 0.42 to 13.6 , for the 3th time the synthroïd is changed: from 0.112 to 0.150 mg. .I have hypo-thyroïdy for 35 yrs because of radiation for Hodgkin's. . By the way, I am 66 yrs old. and with joy, I just gain 45 pds Other than the thyroïd, what can play with the temperature, the weight. I will like to have a variety of questions for my next visite with the doctor.
1903798 tn?1333905288 Hi...I had this b4 and post op...and it could be thyroid related too...so do talk to ur Dr and get that checked, TSH, free T3, free T4, TPO antibodies....they should be checking for an auto immune thyroid issue not a typical thyroid issue where they only look at the TSH...if that is all they do, u will have "normal" results with a thyroid issue and not understand what is going on....
Avatar f tn My first round of blood tests showed I was slightly anemic and b12 deficient. I started taking b12 supplements, and felt better for a couple days, and then got worse. My body temperature is much lower than normal (between 94.1 and 95.6 instead of my normal 97ish), I get dizzy and light headed often, my heart often races when I stand up, my legs hurt like crazy, and I often get shaky. Unfortunately my doctor says they are just panic attacks, but I really don't think they are.
Avatar f tn I got labs done and my tsh is 4.83 range .50 to 4.30 Free t4 1.5 range .8 to 1.8 Free t3 3.8 range 2.3 to 4.2 My ferritin was extremely low only 13 My issue here is my free t3 and free t4 are both In the upper range yet my tsh is high do I have hypothyroid ? I have joint pain and hairloss . I'm a 19 year old male . Many women in my family have hyper and hypo thyroid issues . Looking at my t3 and t4 my thyroid looks optimal to me yet the high tsh has me confused .
Avatar n tn It is lowest in the morning and rises during the day and is highest around 6 p.m. But your temperature can be a little low or a little high and it is your body either fighting something off or just regulating itself. I would worry about such as small change like that. Sometimes your temp goes down a degree when you are fighting a virus. As for the doxy and clindamycin. You probably lost a lot of your normal intestinal bacteria and you need to start taking probiotics if you haven't yet.
Avatar f tn Ultimately I think the issue is a low thyroid condition and the cellular level is where the rubber meets the road. I too have "normal" blood labs. All I can say is that I finally got a Dr to prescribe a minimal dose of thryoid (T4 at 12.5 mcg per day) as a clinical trial. My joint pain went away and for the first time EVER in my entire life, my hands and feet do not get cold. For the first time EVER deer hunting (in Upper MI) my toes did not get cold.
645800 tn?1466860955 Recently I noticed that every time I go to the doctors my temperature has been between 96.3 and 96.5. This has gotten me to wonder about a few things regarding body temperature. 1) Since 98.6 is normal and 100 is concidered a temperature does my lower normal body temperature mean I am running a fever at a lower temperature? 2) Most people are comfortable at 70 degrees air temperature while for me I am starting to feel over heated at that temperature.
Avatar f tn Under arm: 97 Orally: 98 Does a persons temperature rise when they get up? I will take my temperature for the next 9 days and post the results here.
Avatar f tn The last two weeks my morning temperature has been between 97.1-97.4. It's always been a normal 98.6 in the past. What exactly does temperature mean as far as being hypothyroid with Hashi's?
Avatar n tn My hands and toes get so cold that they hurt, and I have to use a heating pad to warm them up. My body temperature is usually below the norm. This has only been going on for the last couple of years, and I had no idea it may be related to the other things going on with me. It never occured to me to mention it to any doctors I've seen.
Avatar f tn I have started taking temperature in the morning for 5days...and on 2days upon awakening in the morning it showed 95.9 and and 95.8, I am on synthyroid 112mcg, having lots of symptoms like tired, breast discharge, menstrual problems, hair fall, dry skin and weight gain despite working out and eating sensibly! I asked my doc for T3 and he got upset and saif forget about it, rcently I have contacted a naturopath for getting some symptoms relief.....
Avatar f tn If I ask my doctor for a thyroid test based on my low basal temperature, and she orders it, would it show hypothyroid? I wonder why all this time, my doctors never tested my thyroid...could I report them? There is a website in America (are you in Ontario?) called healthgrades *******, where patients can rate their doctors and look for reviews of doctors...if I start rating them as bad...and sign my name!!! (I want them to know I reported them.) They will not see mas any more...
Avatar f tn Hello~Many times, this can be a sign of an underactive thyroid. Is your temp just low in the morning, or is it all day? Some folks, however, tend to run lower than normal. Ask your doctor for a thyroid blood work panel.
