Avatar n tn Suddenly about 3 months ago in June I started to get anxious, depressed and exhausted. Finally my doctors ran more thyroid testing and my TSH was a 7. They changed my medication from 112mcg of synthroid to 150mcg daily about three days ago. Now I'm jittery and having trouble sleeping. Is this the symptoms of an out of whack thyroid/ Will it get better as my body adjusts to the new dosage? Please help.
Avatar m tn i have days when my symptoms are very hypo (sluggish, exhaustion, cold etc) and a few times lately i have been feeling nervous, jittery and with much energy. just wondering. i am dx as hypo, take 150mcg of levothroxine and 1000mcg of b12/day. my TSH 5weeks ago was 120. i go back to dr. jan2.
Avatar f tn I find that I have to space them out by many hours or I get very jittery if take as an example Sudafed and my Synthroid together ... I make a judgment call and usually take the Sudafed in the AM and then do the Synthroid much later ... together they make me very anxiety ridden for hours.
Avatar f tn I was prescribed Ativan and Xanax for the shakes and jitters. Recently I have had my thyroid re-tested and my level is 0.6 which has dropped in the last 5 months from 1.8. I am still told by one of my doctors that it is still in the normal range and not to worry about it, and to go see a psychiatrist about more meds. I am wondering that even still in the wide spectrum range of 0.2 -4.0 if this could be hyperthyroid and the 0.6 is not a normal level for me.
Avatar n tn My grandmother has diabetes and my mother has thyroid problems. It started in leg than up to arm only the upper left arm area. My right side feels fine. But I get very shaky and it does not feel right.
Avatar f tn Hi again, Just an update and question, I have still been quite jittery and we have decreased the zoloft to 50mg. I am going to have hormone testing and start natural progesterone to help with the period problems next week. Because I have never had good results from the zoloft I was thinking that asking about lexapro may be a good option, with less side effects? My md had recommended adding wellbutrin or effexor to the zoloft but I don't think that is a good idea.
Avatar m tn I just was not feeling well so I went to an Endro and he some blood work and of course the tests were not accurate and he said I was on too much thyroid and it could effect my heart, He lowered it some and said to come back in a month. Last week, I went to my family dr., and I took all my lab work from the summer and he said that I don't have thyroid problems. He told me to quit it last week and that he was going to consult with the endro. this week.
Avatar f tn It has been 2 weeks since my first episode and I have changed my eating habits and drink more water too! I am 52 years old and I am overweight. I work in my yard weekly and keep a clean house. Help!!!
Avatar f tn So I had large bowl bran flakes cereal around 10am and some watermelon and at 3pm I started to get jittery. Is this because I need to eat more often??
Avatar f tn Had bran flakes and watermelon at 10am and by 3pm I was jittery. Why is this? Does it mean I need to snack more often?
Avatar n tn For anyone intersted: I changed to Armour thyroid and was feeling better WITHIN HOURS! Not even the medical profession was aware of this side effect. Thank God for forums like these where we can get answers instead of living in misery. God Luck.
Avatar n tn For example if she is hyperthyroid to start with and not take the medication, she can expect to feel anxiety, jittery, lose weight, have heart palpitations, and insomnia. If she is hypothyroid, she may gain weight, feel sluggish, and tired alot, and feel depression. These are the most common effects of those diseases. It can take months or weeks for the symptoms to develop, depending on how bad she was to start with and her dosage. Be vigilant and keep an eye on her.
Avatar n tn t want to wait two months (or get some meds). I started out just being jittery and anxious, and tachycardia soon followed. First it was on and off through the day, and then it became 24/7. My thyroid levels are now normal since the surgery, but as I said, I have heart issues (I'm currently on heart meds). All from hyperthyroidism. Do yourself a favor and call your dr back. Good Luck!
Avatar f tn Today, 8-30-2016, after a 3 mile walk, good breakfast, I felt nausea, shaky, bones ached, felt awful. Went to bed and woke up hour later with shakes and jittery. Very emotional. I'm at my wits end. My doctor told me it was okay to mix the synthetic thyroid with Nature throid but I don't know if it's true because I am having these awful symptoms. I was put on Venlafaxine after my cancer because of hot flashes I got due to having to stop my HRT.
1768199 tn?1323617936 Today I went from feeling exhausted and near tears to feeling anxious, jittery, and insecure. I jumped when my coworker walked into the lab and kept startling at little things. I'm hoping that this is a side effect of the antihistamines I'm taking (rantidine 2xdaily and hydroxyzine, a double dose 3xdaily) but my doc told me that pegasys can cause anxiety. Anybody out there have relevant experience?
Avatar f tn The back of my head, above and below left ear, left side of jaw and my teeth are very painful. My neck and shoulders are sore, upper center of my back is on fire as is the base of my skull up into the middle of the back of my head. Also, it feels like someone is trying to stuff a dull spike through the center of my skull. it's like I had my spinal fusion surgery all over again along with the TT. The pain is enough to make me shake, then I lie down. Can this much pain actually make me weak?
Avatar f tn I had a bad reaction to WP thyroid while on vacation and local doctor put me on generic levothyroxine. I am now having constant headaches and white noise/buzzing in my ears. What is going on? I will be on vacation for another 4 weeks.
Avatar f tn Was just diagnosed with Hashimoto's two weeks ago due to high TPO antibodies. I have had hypothyroidism for about a year-and-a-half and have been on 50 mg of Levothyroxine. I was stupid and stopped taking my levothyroxine when I had a sinus infection in the middle of September, which is when I think all of this was triggered. Can anyone give me their symptoms so I feel okay about mine LOL I keep fluctuating between hyper and hypo and I'm freaking out.
Avatar f tn Well two things hormonally 1 did you have anyother testing other than thyroid? Lot's of things like meds and other issues can cause this and I would hope your doctor could look at other issues if they feel you are normal with thyroid - vits mineral problems? 2 Did you suggest different thyroid labs? Maybe run a FT3 and see if that hormone is off. Normal TSH should be looked at with FT4 and FT3 tests if the patient is still having issues.
Avatar n tn Do you think this is too high to begin with? I have been on the medicine for 10 days. I am feeling a little jittery and my BP seems to be going up a little. Thank you.
Avatar n tn The last two days I have not been able to sleep, I get hot then cold and back and forth and i feel wide awake like jittery.
Avatar n tn My dose was just reduced last year for similar reasons although I was feeling alittle jittery and I lost a couple 2-3 pounds in the course of a month. I was really interested in where my levels would be after 3 months at the reduced level and interestingly everything came back in normal and I didn't notice any difference in how I felt and the couple pounds didn't come back. I kept waiting to feel "hypo"....never happened.
Avatar m tn Hello all, My question revolves around summer heat. This may not actually have anything to do with anxiety, and I'm concerned it might be a symptom of something else. I'm a normal, 36 year old man. I don't smoke and I drink only occasionally (no more than once or twice a month and not to excess).
