You do need to go on medication to regulate it though. Unregulated Thyroid problems will cause infertility and miscarriage. You need to get on some meds to help regulate it and then you should be able to carry a child. Good luck to you.

First of all, don't worry. Hypothyroidism is treatable. Once it's under control, you shouldn't have a problem conceiving and carrying to term. I have been battling with it and changed medications lately. I seem to be doing better on natural dessicated thyroid. (Nature Throid which is just like Armour Thyroid) I had just not been taking enough so my TSH crept all the way up to 3.42! Yikes! RE's want you as close as possible to 1.0 for TTC. I think Hashimotos does hold a part in infertility. i have been on thyroid medication for a year and a half. My FSH has been stable since I was 38 and I am now 42. It is around 20 and my AMH was low the one time I had it done. I think doctor's still do not know a lot about how to treat us. Sounds like you are already on thyroid meds? ve been married for nearly 2 years to a wonderful man and we have been trying since then to conceive with 1 miscarriage. In Nov. I had my FSH tested and it was 15.
