Avatar n tn The sequence includes nerve impulses in the brain, spinal column, and area around the penis, and response in muscles, fibrous tissues, veins, and arteries in and near the corpora cavernosa. Damage to nerves, arteries, smooth muscles, and fibrous tissues, often as a result of disease, is the most common cause of ED.
Avatar f tn I was told by the ED doctor that the blood was coming from my uterus and there was thickening on the wall. I also had a cyst which she said is causing the pain. She referred me to an obgyn to have a biopsy done. I have not had a pelvic exam since 2008 and results were normal. ED doctor said that it does not look like I should be in menopause maybe because it appears I still have some estrogen? She wonders why my periods stopped.
1999441 tn?1589741765 I haven't been on here since I was 61..still have the same problems with ED. My second wife also has a problem. She is unable to have an orgasm unless she manually stimulates herself and she says she feel nothing when someone 'plays' with her breasts, they do nothing for her. She says she has been this way since she started having sex at 14.

That day she started having chest pain. She was given another two courses of steroids and was told that the chest pain was nothing. The chest pain increased and we have had a chest X-ray, EKG, and blood work.
Avatar f tn The proper physician to see to diagnose your ED is a urologist who specializes in ED. The most common cause of ED is probably diabetes, and since most guys ignore their health until it affects the thing they care about - their erections - this is often what causes them to find out they have something like diabetes or thyroid disease.
616450 tn?1228433627 I was diagnosed with Grave's over two years ago. The racing heart (machine gun) and goiter were the first signs, but then came anger. I was put on Endurol (?) and Tapazole and after each blood test the doctor decreased my dose. I could feel symptoms coming back but she kept saying the test results were OK. Early on I was wrestless all the time and hungry. Couldn't stop or rest. Eventually she took me completely off the medicine.
2108469 tn?1334054530 If the cause of your ED is thyroid, it should resolve along with the rest of your symptoms. Of course, I have no personal experience (i'm female), but it would seem to me that if you are "feeling very well" (i.e. all your other symptoms have gone away), then your ED should have gone away also.
Avatar m tn i went to the lab for blood work and discovered my thyroid was hypo, i had low T, and my estrogen was high. Ive been on armour thyroid 90mg for about 4 months and seen no improvements. i have a reoccurring pain in my thyroid, it gets much more intense after i masterbate, the brain fog also gets worse too. i still have no sex drive and i can only sometimes get an erection (usually if i haven't masterbated in awhile). I'm going to get my blood checked again in october.
Avatar m tn See the doctor to get checked for routine problems like diabetes and thyroid problems. Erections are a man's health barometer. The only issue I've heard about masturbation are that masturbating prone can damage nerves. Otherwise it should not cause problems. You can try taking supplements. L-arginine is the first one to add. Start working out to build muscles and strengthen your heart and lungs.
