Avatar n tn Symptoms that you should watch out for and warrants further evaluation by your doctor include unusually large or painful bruises that develop for no known reason, presence of easy bruising and abnormal bleeding elsewhere ( nose, gums or intestinal tract), suddenly begin bruising (especially if you recently started a new medication) and develop bruising during an illness in addition to fever or confusion. These may indicate low levels of or abnormally functioning platelets.
620923 tn?1452915648 Hi all...I know I have seen posts on hair loss and thyroid issues, but I wondered if the hair loss started after begining to take synthroid? I have very thick hair, and since starting the synthroid I have noticed I am shedding. Is this normal? Will it slow down? Is it the synthroid?
1645588 tn?1301107761 Hair loss can also be due to dandruff, dermatitis, shampoos, oils, soaps, dust and dirt etc. Thyroid disorders and diabetes too could be a cause. Insomnia, stress and anxiety along with poor diet and excess of caffeine too can be the cause.
Avatar n tn 140% baseline) The endo has concluded that the insomnia is not related to thyroid, and referred us back to our PCP and his Psychiatrist (whom he was seeing for social anxiety). However, he continues to battle some pretty big symptoms.

Avatar n tn When you get your thyroid labs, get a copy and post the numbers with lab ranges here so we can take a look. TSH- most people feel best around a 1.0 New ranges are .30-3.0 Free T4- should be mid normal range Free T3- mid normal to high normal range Let me know when you get them!
Avatar m tn A word of caution though, I do recommend going for a second opinion on the diagnosis but do not stop the blood thinners before you know for sure you are clear otherwise you will put yourself at risk of stroke. But go to your GP and get the thyroid test to be sure because you do seem kind of young for afib but I am not an expert on afib. Hopefully someone with more experience with the condition can jump on with some input. Good luck. I hope you can work it out so you can follow your dreams.
Avatar m tn I seen my doctor and told her my symptoms last week. I also have G.I. complications as well. She suspects thyroid or IBS. Google is telling me differently though.
Avatar n tn that my TSH level was 0 and she wanted to know if I was taking my armour thyroid. Yes, as directed. I also have petechiaeand and a bruising rash. I have been taking my prescribed dose and am perplexed as to what is going on.

168348 tn?1379357075 My surgeon and staff opted to give me solucortef during surgery to combat adrenal stress and thyroid inflammation. Quite amazing as it worked and my thyroid has not swollen from the stress!! Still on bedrest quite a bit but getting back in the groove! Thanks for everyone's prayers and thoughts! Hope to be back on regularly now!!
Avatar n tn Stress could cause your periods to be late or not at all. bruising could and I am not saying it is but could be a sign of diabetes, any family history?? I can't say about the cramps, but you really need to get sleep I know it is hard when you are extremely scared, trust me been there and done that. I would ask your doctor to run some test, like thyroid and diabetes and see if it is something that can be diagnosed, you shouldn't have to go on like this.
