No one seems to have a perfect story that matches mine. When I play video games for long periods(few hours, 2 or 3.) I get this numbness/tingling on the side of my face. It has gotten worse over the years now with a burning/pressure feeling.... I also get some sort of dizziness/light headedness. I'm very concerned.... In my family seizures from video games is in our genes.. Im very concerened Should I see a doctor??? Btw this has been happening for a few years now...

Yes, he has been playing the games. Its almost like he is playing even though he isn't. I tried to hold his hand to see how long he could keep it still and I could see/feel the pinky and ring finger moving.

Very helpful thank you, I did go see a doctor and shes 99% sure it's tendonitis and this is just the first time it has ever become inflamed. She has has sent me for X-rays I will be getting tomorrow and she wants me to see a physiotherapist. She wont tell me 100% till she runs more tests but between the ice and heat sand of course the Tylenol the pain is gone but now I'm feeling pain in my left thumb.

So I came down stairs and he was playing on my laptop playing stupid freaking video games. So I asked him if he called and he said yeah they said come anytime today. So I checked his phone... He didn't call at all he hasn't gotten or made a call at all since yesterday! He's always too busy with the damn video games to do what I ask him to do. He won't even lay with me at night because he's up until like 6 playing the stupid computer game!!!

I have been so emotional lately! I cry when my husband plays video games lol. I can't help it or control my emotions whatsoever.

If I push on it with my thumb it just feels like a more knobby knuckle (on only the right side) however even that little pressure tingles my finger tip. I noticed it after I had been playing an ungodly amount of video games.. the next day i realized, that is where I put most my pressure because when i attempted to play I continuously felt the tingles while holding the controller in my natural position. Perhaps that's the cause, or maybe coincidence?

I am unable to stay exposed to video games and computer screens for long time periods due to the bright, counter-connecting waves which for unexplained reasons trigger my seizures. Once again, that's something to discuss with your doctor. I would suggest observing your seizure activity while on the computer.

When I watch TV for longer than a couple hours (mostly when I play video games), my right eye tends to sort of sting and get a bit watery. I've noticed if I keep watching TV or playing on the computer for extended periods of time, a small section of my eye turns red, almost like pink eye when I look in the mirror. Today I closed one eye to see if there was a difference, and my right eye was a bit blurrier than my left.. what's wrong? P.S. I'm not on any medications.

Recently I spent a week playing a lot video games on a giant 49 inch HDTV. I never really played video games on the HDTV beforehand. A couple days ago I played almost the whole day, and my eyes got really really tired and really red. After that day, whenever I'm using a computer or looking at a screen, within 10 minutes of looking, my left eyeball gets hit with a lot of pain. Especially behind the eyeball. So much, that I have to turn away from the computer and get an icepack.

yea every kid loves video games but the games have to be fun. if you can get those new technologies to work with games like halo or world of warcraft i can see it being a great help to many people, but other wise i don't see it working on kids above the age of 12.

I am a 17 year old guy. I really enjoy doing things with family, but at the same time I really value my alone time. A five year old addicted to video games is not unusual. If they are around video games the majority of the time, that is what they will do. If you dont like him playing, take it away...plain and simple. He might not know how to play at first. And, it sounds like he is the only child in the house. So, he doesnt have that other interaction to help him learn how to play...except for you. So, my suggestion is to get him a new toy...and put him in his room by himself to learn how to play.

Well I myself take depakote as well for seizures as a kid, I know that asprin cannot be taken with depakote, not sure if it causes the seizures tho or if it just has an interaction!! And as far as video games it says all over the games and systems that epileptics should use caution because it can cause seizures. Especially with the prolonged time that you spent playing!!! Does he have regular seizures in general? Has he been an epileptic long??

That's cool. May I ask how old your kids are? Do they enjoy video games? I'm 20 years old, and I love Nintendo Video Games. Super Mario and the Legend of Zelda ones are the best, in my opinion.

I just found out Im pregnant last weekend, and this week, I've realized every time I try to play video games I get Morning sickness and throw up. I've only had Morning sickness two days, and Both times happened after playing video games. Is this normal or did anyone else experience this?

video games are similar to internet chat. They're both addictive. I've been reading you post and the thing that kept cropping up in my mind was this. Why are you sitting around home waiting on him to do something you want. Grab a girlfriend and go to the movies, create a social circle that improves your life. Amazingly enough, it captures their attention if you're living and they're not.

(we have a movie time at night before bed to relax) but when they get older there WILL be a time limit on video and computer games. there will be no 5 or 6 hours of playing games or browsing the internet.

In addition to my hand jerking sometimes some of my muscles also have been twitching. I do play a lot of video games so i was wondering if that could be what was causing these twitches. Also how would I be able to stop the twitching.
