Avatar m tn Hi, What other symptoms are present? Arthritis may present with symptoms such as joint pain, swelling, inflammation, and stiffness. To confirm this diagnosis, imaging studies such as x-ray or blood tests may need to be done. Aside from arthritis, musculoskeletal issues may also need to be ruled out. If it persists, it is best that you have this checked by your doctor for proper evaluation. Take care and do keep us posted.

Avatar m tn Since Xmas experienced a tightness pressure type ache/pain in bicep/underarm area, pains in forearm sometimes and a developing stiffness / arthritic feel in left hand fingers and ache in thumb when rotated. Can still do full range of movement pinch fine and no obvious weakness/failure. Other symptoms, left elbow started to make an audible crackle (not popping) sound as it’s bent, since Xmas. Thinking I may see a neuro or should I wait longer or for weakness to bother anyone.
Avatar f tn t feel pins or needles/tingling but my pain is on my wrist, base of thumb, and knuckles. I have always experience morning stiffness but that's how it feels sort of but way more painful. My hand usually doesn't hurt at a specific time , but once I start thinking about it and start clenching my hand, it starts hurting a lot. I really don't know what it is, can somebody help me determine what it could be? Carpal Tunnel? Peripheral Neuropathy? Early signs of Arthritis? Tendinitis?

Avatar f tn A physiotherapist would help in relieve pain and stiffness due to torticollis, and a consult with the pain physician to relieve pain by epidural steroid injections. This multi modal approach to therapy would improve your symptoms a lot. Take care.

Avatar n tn Hello, Exactly 4 weeks ago, I underwent surgery on my left forearm because the bone wouldn't allow for full range of motion (It fractured some years ago). A plate was placed in the radius of my forearm to straighten it and allow for more range of motion. The cast was removed yesterday and I've been moving my left hand and forearm little by little to get rid of the stiffness and regain motion/strength.

Avatar f tn When I wake in the mornings, my left thumb and my 3 middle finger joints and thumb on my right hand hurts like mad. What can this be? I work in an office and use the keyboard and mouse constantly, can that be the reason this is happening? Is there some topical ointment I can rub on it to make the aching pain go away? If not, is there some oral medicine used to treat this kind of pain!! Thank you in advance for your help.

Avatar m tn My initial symptoms started 8+ months ago and were chest pain(s) and what feels like a muscle strain from my upper neck down to my scapula on my right side. 4+ months ago I began to have muscle twitches and coinciding muscle stiffness. I now have muscle weakness on my left side, from my shoulder down to my leg. Although I notice twitches body wide, they are without a doubt most frequent on my left side.
