Avatar n tn The natural remedy to balance your body systems and be pain free, is to do pranayam. The pain is indicating that the system is not functioning and killing the pain for a short period, is not a solution. Build up your timing gradually. If you feel tired or dizzy, stop and resume after 1 minute. Kapalbhati -(Do it before eating) Push air forcefully out through the nose about once per second. Stomach will itself go in(contract in). The breathing in(through the nose) will happen automatically.
Avatar f tn I had horrible pain in my bottom knuckle on my thumb, and now the knuckles in my middle and ring finger are hurting. I'm sorry for such a long post, but I'm really hoping someone might have some advice. I'm a single mother and I don't have insurance so I can't afford to go to a doctor. Are there any home remedies that might help? Any advice that I could get would be greatly appreciated. I'm pretty desperate. Thank you so much for reading if you made it this far!
Avatar f tn Whenever I bend it, it doesn’t stop twitching. Please diagnose me, or give remedies for the pain.. my mom won’t get up to take me to the doctor.
Avatar n tn I have seen 2 neurologists, 1 local and 1 at the Houston Diagnostic Clinic. I had MRIs With and without contrast of the brain, the entire spine, the abdomen. I get the usual migraines 2-3 times a month and they last 1-2 days. They do not effect my work. For the past 4 years I have experienced atypical migtaines with the following symptoms: abdominal pain and my stomach feels very "empty", chest pain and difficulty breathing.
Avatar f tn t get extra strength tylenol, there are pressure points and can relieve your headache. In between your thumb and index finger apply a good amount of pressure and hold it. That should relieve pain in your temple. Also on your feet if you apply a good amount of pressure at the arch of your foot that should also elevate the pain.
903476 tn?1242237037 Very helpful thank you, I did go see a doctor and shes 99% sure it's tendonitis and this is just the first time it has ever become inflamed. She has has sent me for X-rays I will be getting tomorrow and she wants me to see a physiotherapist. She wont tell me 100% till she runs more tests but between the ice and heat sand of course the Tylenol the pain is gone but now I'm feeling pain in my left thumb.
Avatar f tn I have done the carpel tunnel wrist test positions that my general prac taught me when I was having neuropathy and urgent care tried to say it wa carpel tunnel. Anyways long story short, no pain when I do this position. Only pain when pressure is applied. I did nothing to injury it and I'm right handed so I'm unsure what to think of it. The only thing that is different is that i have been sick with a flu bug that turned into a cold. I don't have a fever anymore just congestion.
Avatar m tn My thumb is not bruised or swollen but I have shooting pain when I bend it. I can bend it all the way but it shoots pain and it hurts in between the two joints. Avatar f tn This is my left thumb the same has happened on my right one plz help is it a matter of concern
Avatar n tn When you next feel it, have someone press hard on the area with their thumb, if it increases the pain, then its a trigger point/muscle knot. Heat or ice are good remedies, then appropriate stretching etc. If you are riding hard on a bike, the body position alone is probably aggravating things. That said, if you are a woman, then it potentially can be a sign of chest pain felt atypically.

Avatar n tn It's been about 10wks, had therapy and there has been no improvement at all in my thumb, still can not get it to bend on it's own. Orthopedic wants to give it 3 more wks and is considering sugery. EMG showed median nerve damage and anterior nerve damage as well. What are your thoughts on having surgery. It's become quite a problem for me to grab large things or grasp a ball too without having that thumb to bend.
Avatar n tn I have been having pain in my right thumb for the last 2 years. The only way I can describe it is a constant soreness. I have been to numerous doctors including neurologists, orthopedists and hand surgeons. Tests done include 2 nerve conductions, nerve block, mri on thumb, wrist and spinal cord, x-ray on hand and a ultrasound. None of them have been able to diagnose what the problem is. Is there anything else that could be causing this pain?
Avatar f tn My doctor says the stabbing pain I get in the base of my thumb on the fleshy palm part is probably osteoarthritis, This came on quite suddenly several months ago - I had on occasions put my hand out to stop my elderly husband from tripping over. The joint at the base of the thumb is also quite swollen in a boney sort of way. I mainly get a short sharp stabbing pain on the fleshy part but on resting the hand it does not hurt that much. Could this be a ligament problem?
Avatar f tn All of a sudden the piece of skin in between my thumb and finger has become stiff. I don't think it would be trigger finger but i might be wrong. It won't go either. What can I do? It's hard to stretch my thumb away from the hand and spread my fingers without it hurting.
