Throwing up yellow bile while pregnant

Common Questions and Answers about Throwing up yellow bile while pregnant

throwing-up

It wasn't anything it was just that disgusting yellow bile. Since 11pm last night I have thrown up 6 times all of it being the bile. I cannot hold anything down. I had just a small drink of water and seconds later I had to rush to the bathroom. I don't know if this is pregnancy related or am I sick. I'm 9 weeks and haven't got sick before just nausea. I don't know if I should call doctor or just see if it passes. I also have a horrible headache that's not going away.
It is likely yellow because there is nothing in your tummy to throw up so you are throwing up stomach bile. It is very normal. Try eating something small before brushing your teeth, it might help.
I've been sleeping horrible, I wake up sick to my stomach and feel like there is something in my stomach that makes its way up my esophagus.. Then in morning I end up runnin to toilet and I'm throwing up this yellow/ lime colored very bitter liquid. It's the only thing that comes out, no food or anything like that. It's horrible. I'm 18 weeks, would think morning sickness be better by now. Then after throwing up , I have an absolute horrid throbbing headache.
one of the reasons i think i do this is cause last spring me and my mother where walking around in the mall when i felt very sick so i headed for a bathroom but unfortunatley i didn't make it i throw up about 3 to 4 times on the way to the bathroom and i was totally embarassed bout the whole thing and the fact i hate throwing up period!!!
That is, eating usually made me feel worse and I would still end up throwing up. For me, it was easier to just throw up bile (this happened almost every morning for about 2 weeks when I would brush my teeth) and then eat later. I know that contradicts what most people say, but eating was just always so much worse for me.
Yesterday was a little different. I'm familiar with yellow bile but yesterday I vomited bright green bile several times. I felt like I was dying...literally during the time I was throwing up. I stayed in bed all day and was extremely weak. I tried to drink water in small amounts. I woke up today feeling somewhat better but today I have had 6 bowel movements and very constipated. My right side under the ribs is hurting today and I still feel very weak but again better.
Ultrasound showed no stones but HIDA scan confirmed 7% ejection fraction. My theory is, GB produces bile, which acts as a soup to break up fat and help digestion of fat. At night, the digestive track moves slower. Without enough bile soup, the fat wraps around the food waste, giving your intestines a hard time to absorb and move them around. I wake up in the middle of the night because of this and wake up in the morning extremely thirsty and tired.
I'll be 12wks Sunday yay! I go see my new ob tomorrow &I'm very excited. The nausea has been 10xs better but I still throw up most foods &yellow bile in the am. I start to get hungry around this time. I don't want to gain a huge mess of weight but I need to eat something. If I don't I get horrible hunger pains. Any suggestions on what I can do to not eat so late?
But when I'm at work or running errands and can't stop to eat, it makes me sick and I throw up yellow bile. It happens almost every morning. I'll be 25weeks Sunday. My nausea has improved 100% but early in the am I wake up starving and it just comes up. My doc says its fine and normal but I'm just curious bc I've never read any other posts about this.
i can almost guarantee i was not throwing up bile because bile has an awful taste, this had no smell but was clear with a bit of yellow in and of course i was coughing up the blood tinged mucous. I havent been coughing up much mucous so far... well i am back off to bed or try and sleep lol thanks alot ladies.
(Since I only have dry heaves and throw up stomach acid, I don't bother throwing up in the toilet.) Between heartburn and throwing up, my esophagus is pretty torn up and now I have a really bad cough I can't get rid of.
He would eat and then either feel like throwing up or would actually do it. It went on for a while. I didn't know about it. He didn't go to the doctor because he just doesn't ususally do that. Anyway, I finally convinced him to go and the doctor he saw prescribed pepto bismol and sent him home. A week later he wasn't feeling any better so I encouraged him to get a second opinion. This new doctor took one look at him and said it was his heart. They ran some tests and sure enough...
A couple days later, my skin and eyes went yellow, and i was throwing up violently. I was rushed to the Emergency, had blood tests, and my liver was overcompromised, enzymes off the chart. I had temporary form of hepatitis. I stayed in the hospital for a couple days where i was just fed fluids, kept hydrated. I was then released. My skin and eyes returned to normal. I went to the naturopath upset, and asked "Why did this happen?
and I feel very nauseous, I often throw up repeatedly until I'm throwing up yellow bile. It doesn't happen after every meal, but it does happen alot. Also, if I press down on the center of my stomach--upper region, it feels very tender. When I was at the hospital, they did blood tests, and none of my liver enzymes were elevated or anything, but they did say that based on the ultrasound my gallbladder should come out, and that more than likely these "attacks" were gallbladder based.
She also threw up when she woke up that morning. When I say she's throwing up I'm not just talking about a small amount like spit up she is throwing up a lot. Well after she threw up that first time monday morning she was fine again all day and just as happy as could be. Again on monday night and Tuesday morning she threw up again. I have been nursing my daughter every since she was born and I'm wondering if there is any way possible that somehow my milk is making her sick.
He is still having complications. before surgery he was throwing up bile. Now every time he starts back to eating solid foods his belly swells up and he again throw up bile. The doctors don't understand the what the problem is. He is still in the hospital. They have done x-rays and saw a blockage in his small intestine, but this same blockage was there when he had his surgery. But when the surgeon looked at his intestine during surgery he found nothing wrong with it.

They removed that and went ahead and removed my appendix while they were there. Now, at 7 months pregnant, I have been to the hospital in pain to find out that I have several small galstones. Unfortuatally there is nothing they can do until the baby is born. The thing that confusses the doctors is that, instead of food irritating the stones, food helps the pain go away. I usually have the pain when I am hungry(usually first thing in the morning)and when I eat the pain goes away.
Having the gallbladder removed did seem to clear up the nausea and throwing up. Does anyone else wonder if it could be some type of muscle disorder that is still causing the pain?
I get a sore throat (not tonsils but when you swallow) I now go straight on antibiotics and use Bricanyl inhaler although it doesnt seem to have much effect except to cause alot of mucus coughed up from the lungs. It causes me to have spasm coughing and if I cannot control this to 3 or 4 coughs my windpipe closes over making it hard to breath in or out. The last one about 2 years ago stopped me breathing in and out completely for 10 to 15 seconds and I thought I had bought it.
I will feel sick longer rather than throw-up. I'd take a beating before willfully throwing up. Anyway, it was an unstoppable force and it just kept coming. My wife took me back to the hospital ER where they again performed many of the same tests which all came up negative. They gave me anti-nausea medicine which worked a bit better this time. Again, after 24 hours, the pain and nausea were gone. Today, September 7, 2003 I'm starting to taste the rotten egg burps.
The blood tests again weren't alarming but the gastroscopy showed that my stomach was infected and my oesophagus was really irritated which was odd cause I hadn't been throwing up. He asked me if I was under any stress to which I responded I wasn't and that I thought it could be caused by too much medication in the last few months. He didn't really believe me, prescribed me treatment for the infection and the same anti psychotics my doctor tried to put me on.
Everyone was nauseated and throwing up some even had a fever. I never got the fever just throwing up and nausea and then more nausea for like 3 days and then all of a sudden out of nowhere I got the eggy burps and it has been a constant like every 5 seconds. That icky burp taste and smell is killing me and it has been like 3 days now. I do have extreme gas and bloating and I am also farting a lot. There is a terrible rumble and gurgle going on in my gut.
My stomach pops out so much, i cant breathe what so ever it's like this pressure i cant move i cant do anything. I end up throwing it up like my stomach rejects the food and after i throw up i feel great the pains are still there but, i can breathe. I have been to the doctor they told me i have colitis. I have been in and out of the emergency room many times, they told me they dont know. So i had a colonoscopy and they found hemroids.
the key is getting EVERYTHING out your stomach. when my attacks recur a day or two apart, it seems to result from not throwing everything up the first time. i find taking a sip or two of water helpful for triggering the last few pukes. one question for you (and anyone else suffering from this miserable curse): have you ever taken accutane, an acne medication? theres been a lot of news lately about potential links between accutane and intestinal disorders (eg IBD).
Hi, I too have upper right quad pain just below my ribs. I am a male, 46yrs old 6ft and weigh 175 lbs. My pain comes and goes and has for about 6 months. It is not severe pain, but at times is more annoying than anything. It feels like there is something in there pinching me. I went to an internal med MD in July. He ran blood tests that all came back fine. He sent me to have an abdominal ultrasound which showed only "healthy" organs.
I've never been bulemic but recently i've been throwing up every day quite a few time, all i eat comes out and then bile comes up, its not fun. I'm not pregnant and when i was younger i never really threw up, im a smoker but now if im not careful i throw up from taking a drag. My dad says i've got a low duscust threshold which isn't really too helpful, can anyone give me any ideas?
I have these awful egg burps, I have nausea but don't dare throw up until it has to come out. I hate throwing up! It first started with just hiatal hernia discomfort that I thought came from too many situps and then diarrhea, then bloating and then severe gas pains into my back. These few days have sucked and I still have 3 kids and a house to take care of. No calling out sick for me! Anyway, I kind of hope this goes away in the next day or so.
I have been seeing the gastro dr who said that since my throwing up ahs stopped i could try to stop using the reglan when this has happened i get a pain in my back about even with my shoulder blades which seeds me back to the medicine cabnet for the Reglan that stops the pain. I have let it go and then become sick..could you help me with this. i am also not eating hardlyany red meat and am also bordering on hypoglycemia at times i eat it seems like all day very little.
I often throw up slick yellow bile, and in November, during my last attack, blood came out, too! My upper belly swelled, of course, and I was in agonizing pain for about 18 hours. It passed, as usual, so I did not alert my doctor, even though the blood was NOT usual at all. That had never happened before. I did tell my doc about the incident in January of this year, while visiting him to go over the results of routine bloodwork I'd had done.
