I'm familiar with yellow bile but yesterday I vomited bright green bile several times. I felt like I was dying...literally during the time I was throwing up. I stayed in bed all day and was extremely weak. I tried to drink water in small amounts. I woke up today feeling somewhat better but today I have had 6 bowel movements and very constipated. My right side under the ribs is hurting today and I still feel very weak but again better.
-vomitting/diaherra -nausea -maybe deyhydration? The problem this morning is that she is throwing up GREEN BILE, and SWEATING profusely. Please help as we try to find the answer. Thank you. PS- We are picking her up from college and taking her to the hospital so they can give her fluids through an IV if neccessary.
Subsequent vomiting was primarily dry-heaves which turned to vomiting of yellow/green bile by around 5 am. Every time he vomited you could see his stomach really tighten up. At around 5 am he had a couple of episodes of diarrhea that was very runny. The diarrhea also continued the next day as well. After he started the diarrhea the vomiting seemed to subside which is typical of the previous episodes. The vomiting followed by diarrhea seems to be a pattern.
I have not left the house except to go to a doctor or test in 6 weeks, and my husband has driven me as I feel too weak. I have chronic diarrhea with severe gas after eating. I and am afraid to eat anything that will cause distress and have lost 40 pounds in 4 months (20% of body weight). Constant nagging abdominal pain ULQ whether I eat or don't, I also have anxiety, sweats (no fever), tremors, and lower back pain. Symptoms were occasional at first but are now almost daily.
If I take a Vicotin soon enough after these symptoms start I can usually ward off throwing up. If I start throwing up It usually lasts all night and then I worry about dehydration because I am loosing so much fluid with the diarrhea and vomiting. If the Vicotin works and releaves my pain, then the diarrhea stops within an hour or two. My primary doctor is confused by this. He says he has never seen anyone who has Diarrhea with Kidney Stones. He has tested me for all kinds of things.
I'd be interested to see a doctors response to this, your symptoms are almost identical to mine. did you also get abdominal pains just minutes before you go to the toilet? that are then relieved completely afterwards?
About 2 hours later, I was throwing up bile salts (Sickly yellow color). After that, the nausea and diarhea went away and I ate a whole 32 oz jar of applesause that night. Might go out for Chinese Food tonight. I normally don't eat that many vegetables and it make my stomach feel better when I am having problems. Maybe it is the fact we don't eat enough fiber in our diet. I have heard that vegetables are the scrub brush of the intestines.
I just had another Virus on top of this and now I have a burning/tingling in my lower legs and my feet I cripple around like I have ran on sharp rocks barefoot, losing sleep and waking up with bile sore throat and will vomit bile every a.m. The GI and GYN did a exploratory Lapo for adhesions and I was clean, so now sending me to Endrocologist for the glands. I also have headaches and eye vision disrupts.
and it was like I was reading stories NOT from others suffering from it...but like I had written them myself....I get yellow stools and burning bile that backs up into my system and causes complete HAVOC.... All I can say is good luck to you....in 20 years, I have seen about 15 MD's and ALL of them have different opinions....
At first it wasn't so bad but now 16 years later I'm finding that I have to go 6 - 10 times a day and except for the movement the color is bright yellow. It almost makes me think of bile when you throw up with nothing in your stomach. It's all watery... no solids... except, as I said, for the first movement of the day. I find that it happens after my first meal of the day and settles down around 4:00 pm.
My son had his gallbladder removed and a couple of weeks out started having diarrhea and sometimes throwing up. Taking him to a gastro doctor who did a scope found esophagus irritated from throwing up and a small place on his small intestine that he said not to worry about? doh---he still has diarrhea and sometimes accompanied with blood. What the heck---noone can figure out what is wrong with him.
However, if you're throwing up yellow stuff, it suggests that's bile and the problem should be checked out with your doctor. There are individuals that have residual stones lodged in the common bile duct, or they make new ones after the GB is gone. That as well as spasms of the common bile duct can result in the type of shoulder pain you're experiencing. You may want to ask the doc about doing an MRCP to check out the state of your biliary system.
Well, yellow stool, if it happens again, can either be because of bile or pancreatic enzymes. Bile is released from the liver thru the gallbladder and bile ducts, and checking billirubin levels determines if too little or too much bile is being released. Also if the bile is going thru digestive tract too fast or too slow on account of either constipation or diarrhea, it can change color of stool. Pancreatic enzymes, if not enough are getting into the digestive tract, can cause yellow stool.
Which helped a bit at first, then back to his usual puking. Last month, he started vomiting bile twice a day, like clockwork 1 hour prior to his meals. Back to the vet. Nothing on xray. Blood work fine. Suggestion was to feed him more frequently, as the vomiting seemed to be directly the result of having an empty stomach. This actually worked until last week. Saturday he started puking up small amounts of partially digested food.
i can see his bones sticking out bad and before i couldnt. the first day he had diarrhea now he just been throwing up white foam and yellow bile! he is very weak... i dont have any money to take him to a vet tonight..i am gonna work on getting some money together and take him tomorrow. does anyone know what i can force him to eat and how? One of the best things you can do is very simple each morning drink, upon rising, olive oil (1 tsp), lemons (As much as possible, bitters and oregano tincture with 10 oz of warm water. it will get you bile moving and release that biuld up pressure. You don't want bile to build and turn into stones and sludge. The mix also is great to get your gut moving.
Those always keep me going. 5) I slowly got over the fear of throwing up or diarrhea. It's something everyone does and nobody dies from it - as long as they don't get extremely dehydrated. I just keep telling myself that. If you take imodium or anything like pepto, you're stool will be dark. If you have nothing in your stomach you will poo green/yellow stomach bile. It's only temporary my friend, just say screw it, so what if i have diarrea or throw up, I'll live!
But ho does that explain the pale brown/yellow stools? I read somewhere on here that it can be bile reflux, but surely overuse of antibiotics cant cause that can it??
My 8 week old Golden Retriever puppy just woke me up at midnight by throwing up her entire stomach contents, and yellow bile as well as having diarrhea. None of the food looked well digested and there was a stone in her vomit as well as a piece of raw meat the size of a human thumb she must have swallowed whole. She is asleep now (1 hour later) but I'm still concerned. Is this likely to be something she ate or a more serious issue?
When I vomit the foods, along with it will come bile. This bile ranges from a yellow, orange color, to a dark greenish black color. I also go through bouts of either constipation or diarrhea. I generally never have normal bowl movements. I have had: An abdomen CT- showing a dilated bile duct Multiple Endoscopes- showing a tight duodenum and in Feb.
Friday, in an effort to get her to eat, I poured some water on her dry food. This worked and she ate it all. About midnight Friday night, she started throwing up. A lot. Saturday morning I called the vet and they wanted to see her right away for fear of pancreatitis. They drew some blood, gave her some IV antibiotics, and some fluids, though she was not dehydrated.
I had my gall bladder removed last Tuesday and the bloated, achy feeling has returned to my left abdomen (from the bottom of my ribs and down). I'm gassy. My Bowel movements and pasty, light brown and when I wipe sort of orange/yellow. It's not like that constantly but has been for about 2 weeks. Had a touch or diarrhea yesterday and my hemmoroids are just blown completely out. This feeling hit me last September went away for about 2 months and started back up around Christmas again.
Rarely after the clear mucus, I will have yellow bile. I have a feeling this has to do my food allergies for me because it quit while I eliminated potential problem foods (wheat and gluten..) for a month. But I am not sure on that and am going to get tested for food allergies this week; also i am planning on getting back on the elimination diet soon and if it quits again and I feel better than that is all I need.
Sometimes when I'm going I feel like I'm going to passout and have to put my head in my hands. My stool is usually a bright yellow (which I know to be bile) and the actual feces itself is usually just floating on the surface. I am afraid to eat anything before I go to work or while I'm at work for fear this will happen. I still have my gall bladder but I DO get pains under my ribs and sometimes I feel like I'm going to throw-up. Could all this be caused by my gall bladder?
I think, understandably for a new Mom, you're worrying way too much. Basically you're saying you have a toddler who vomited one time only, on 2 nights running. Boy, if that is all you have to worry about, you're doing really well! Toddlers are renowned for throwing up and having "the runs" for no apparent reason; it goes with the territory. It's really only a problem if a) the child has a fever indicating infection or b) is vomiting very frequently (once in 24 hours is NOT frequent!
His attitude has always been to do what he wants to do, regardless of anybody else's wants or needs. I cleaned up the yellow-bile-stained mattress and sheets, as well as F.M.s underwear, flooded with yellow bile from diarrhea. I found the empty prescription bottle of vicodin that was mine (I went off of vicodin two months ago from a bout with fibromyalgia--a cold turkey event that almost killed me and which caused me to vow that I would never take another pain medication.
As soon as I wake up, my stomach starts turning and feeling like an ocean, and i get a hot wave come over me... next thing i know im in the bathroom either throwing up or making myself throw up because i cant stand the nausea any longer. That usually lasts 30mins-1hr, then i just feel extremely tired and weak after and generally unwell until about lunchtime. This has been going on every single day except on days that i am able to sleep in until 10am, then i wake up feeling ok.
