Common Questions and Answers about Throwing up stomach bile pregnant

I am not sure whether I am throwing up bile... or just the grease from what I ate. I am 33 weeks pregnant and haven't really had any problems with the pregnancy besides some gallbladder problems around weeks 24-28. I had really bad pain in my gallbladder area (under right rib and right back, under shoulder blade) for about a month. No signs of stones. Can't do the test to see how my gallbladder is functioning since I'm pregnant. Anyway...

You might want to try Canada Dry ginger ale. It's one of the few brands made with real ginger, a natural anti-nausea agent, plus the carbonation helps. I pretty much lived on the stuff my first couple weeks. Other natural anti-nausea/anti-gas remedies safe for pregnancy include peppermint tea or candies, fresh ginger grated into hot water or ginger candy, or anything with lemon -- tea, drops, hot lemonade, etc.
It was really violent with a lot of dry heaving and it was mostly bile. My stomach hurt badly and it happened on and off for a few hours. When I rinsed my mouth out, there were some swirls of blood in my spit. For the rest of the day, I was fine. This morning, it happened again. I have broken capillaries all over my face and there are blood vessels broken on the bottom of both of my eyes. I have a horrible, throbbing headache and my eyes hurt badly and are also throbbing.
The day after her passing I woke up in the morning and threw up stomach bile/saliva. It continued for the next week everyday...I was not eating much because I felt sick to my stomach over everything. I figured this is why I was throwing up. It is now July 27th and I am still throwing up in the mornings. I noticed I do not wake up on the weekends and throw up. During the weekday I work and have been very stressed at work because my mother was the boss there and now I'm in charge.
one of the reasons i think i do this is cause last spring me and my mother where walking around in the mall when i felt very sick so i headed for a bathroom but unfortunatley i didn't make it i throw up about 3 to 4 times on the way to the bathroom and i was totally embarassed bout the whole thing and the fact i hate throwing up period!!!
Snack on things like pretzels, almonds, whole grain saltine crackers. It's not good to be throwing up bile like that, if it's becoming painful, talk to your OB because you may have a hernia or some obstruction that isn't sitting well with your body and pregnancy. DRINK LOTS OF WATER, STAY HYDRATED!!!
That is, eating usually made me feel worse and I would still end up throwing up. For me, it was easier to just throw up bile (this happened almost every morning for about 2 weeks when I would brush my teeth) and then eat later. I know that contradicts what most people say, but eating was just always so much worse for me.
The hospital said my blood work came back fine and all my xray showed was that I was full of poop. BUT! I had another violent episode this passed Friday of throwing up liver bile and boiled over in excruciating pain. I just dealt with it and didn't go to the hospital. I'm very tired of being told it's just phantom pains. My temp is now a 102, my upper right side is aching, but not excruciating at this time. I have no appetite, and I've lost 6lb.
because it's very similar as I felt when I was pregnant. I've had pains all over my stomach including chest pains that have brought me to the hospital. Was told I have GERD. I've also had hemorroid surgery three times which hasn't helped me in any way. I have these "bouts" where I get an awful migraine then upset stomach. This is usually accompanied by constipation but sometimes diarrhea also.
My stomach has always looked 6 months pregnant whenever I eat ANYTHING. I work out almost everyday and am physically fit, but if I don't tense up my stomach to hold it in, it looks like I'm pregnant...like I mean huge! I got rid of gluten, peanuts, big dairy products and now drink soy milk and this has helped since I'm not throwing up my food anymore...but it is still very large and I have had this my whole life. I also burp a lot after I eat...
It is likely yellow because there is nothing in your tummy to throw up so you are throwing up stomach bile. It is very normal. Try eating something small before brushing your teeth, it might help.
Stomach acid or bile acid can be coming up continually if not appropriately treated. Diet changes can help, as well as medications like PPIs (i.e. Protonix or Prilosec). If the Nexium isn't helping, you can try another PPI. To help with bile acid reflux, medications like sucralfate can be helpful. However, if the symptoms continue despite medications, surgical therapies may need to be considered. A 24-hr pH study can be done to quantify the severity of the reflux.
also, i have never had children or been pregnant. I throw up every single day. every day for 3 years.
Hi. I was wondering it you ever found out what was wrong, or discovered a better method. I have been experiencing the same feeling for the past year and I have no idea what's wrong! I even vomit in the mornings, even if I haven't eaten anything. Please help if you have any information. I don't know what to do!
I HAD A CLAMP PUT ON MINES 13 YEAR AGO AND I STILL SEE MY PERIOD BUT I FEEL LIKE SOMETHING IS NOT RIGHT THE OTHER DAY I WAS THROWING UP YELLOW NASTY STUFF 5 IN THE MORNING THAN AGAIN AT 7 IN THE MORNING MY HUBBY SAID HE THINK I AM
At time I called dr I was not throwing up. By the time my hubby got home I was throwing up. He called dr got answering service and told her to tell dr he was taken me to ER now wasn't going to wait for test the next day. I had acute pancertitis.spent four days in hospital. Follow up from hospital stay was ten days later I'd been hurting on left side going around to back. He did blood work levels were normal that was Friday. Monday I was back at dr office blood work again levels were high again.
I am 8 months pregnant too and I just had the stomach flu. I had diahrea and was throwing up. The only 2 dangers are if you have a high fever or if you get dehydrated. I never called my doctor but talked to my sister who helps deliver babies and she said they usually only admit people that are in danger of being dehydrated. The baby will still get what they need from you even if you aren't eating. I went 3 days with no food.
The yellow is stomach bile. Its from having nothing in ur tummy to throw up. Its perfectly normal and fine.
Everyone was nauseated and throwing up some even had a fever. I never got the fever just throwing up and nausea and then more nausea for like 3 days and then all of a sudden out of nowhere I got the eggy burps and it has been a constant like every 5 seconds. That icky burp taste and smell is killing me and it has been like 3 days now. I do have extreme gas and bloating and I am also farting a lot. There is a terrible rumble and gurgle going on in my gut.
The Upper GI revealed I have a hiatal hernia, which is when your intestine busts through your stomach wall. This is a result of violently throwing up. How nice! I also have a 'pouch' on my small intestine that looks like a pizza crust bubble, simply from a lack of fiber and poor nutrition (and probably caused from the vomiting). These are results, or damage, from whatever the cause of my digestive troubles are, and will heal in time, so my doctor is now sending me off to have an endoscopy!
I think everything is over and I clean up. I walk out of the toilet and in about 2 minutes time the stomach cramp and the fainting sensation comes back (I've fainted only once to date from this and was out for about 15-20 minutes). 6. When I get back to the toilet I have a really violent Diarrhoea episode in pure liquid state.
Clear fluids, gingerale, popsicles, apple juice are great for stomache problems. Once you stop throwing up, try some toast and if you keep that down a banana. I think you should probably be seen by your doctor as well. I hope you feel better soon.
Ultrasound showed no stones but HIDA scan confirmed 7% ejection fraction. My theory is, GB produces bile, which acts as a soup to break up fat and help digestion of fat. At night, the digestive track moves slower. Without enough bile soup, the fat wraps around the food waste, giving your intestines a hard time to absorb and move them around. I wake up in the middle of the night because of this and wake up in the morning extremely thirsty and tired.
Its bile. It happens when there is no food in your stomach left to puke up. I know it sounds like the last thing you want to do but try to eat something.
I quit smoking about 8 months before i got pregnant and ive never had any asthma. Normally i end up just throwing up stomach bile in the morning cause my stomach is empty.
That's not good for you weather your pregnant or not. If you're throwing up stomach acid it means you're getting sick on an empty stomach which can cause dehydration and there's probably blood because the acid is burning your throat. Throwing up blood is never ever a good thing. Try to keep something in your stomach even if its just lots if water. Even that will protect your throat if you can't stop getting sick.
You said you are throwing discharge. What does that mean? Does that mean you are throwing it up? If so that is called bile (aka stomach acid).
