Oh that can't be good. I drank a lot, the point of no return for me is when I took a huge gulp of pure vodka that I thought was mixed. After that things got pretty crazy, it was really fun, but sooo not worth the hangover. I'm sort of bulemic so maybe that has something to do with it? My dad's a general surgeon so if I can't figure it out online I'll just have to ask him. I can't imagine it being too bad being just a one time thing and all.

There is a company named NeuroScience that does an in depth work up. It looks like it would be worth it to just have some peace of mind. I don't work for NeuroScience but work for a Physical Rehabilitation Practitioner who relays heavily on this company. Insurance companies don't pay for this but I found it has been benificial to many of our patients. If in fact, you have high toxic levels I would suggest you look into Chelation.

When the ulcers bleed it can cause bloody vomit...or vomit that looks like coffee grounds. They will probably do a upper GI scope. THis is where they put a little camera down your esophagus to look at it and your stomach. They may take tissue samples, but this will help them better understand what they're dealing with. THey will probably reccomend you take an acid reducer such as Nexium. You may have to stop drinking alcohol for a while until you are better. Good luck!
It processes and changes it - it becomes black and tar-like or it looks like coffee grounds. It is not red and bloody. And things can be going on in your colon despite your age. These days a doc can't use the excuse that 'you're too young.' There is no such thing. Children and kids get inflammatory bowel disease and that produces blood - the lining bleeds and that does produce red blood. Stool does not pass through the stomach, so maybe I'm mis-reading what you wrote.
Just make sure to B line it to the ER if you see her throwing up copious amounts of blood or her bowel looks like coffee grounds or black tar. My menstruation disappeared completely for more than a year. Just came back 4 months ago!
For the past few weeks I have been throwing around ideas as to the best way to respond to this matter. You see a recent article ( Feb.3 , 2009 NY times) titled "Best treatment for TMJ May be Nothing" nearly made me clench my jaw to pieces. While well written, I found that the author, Ms. Brody, relied heavily on out dated and narrow perspective supplied to her by a small group of dentists.
I have no experience with H but I do know vomiting blood whether it is dryish and looks like coffee grounds, skoal chewing tobacco is not good at all and if you are throwing up large amounts of blood that is still blood red would be something I would see a doctor about.

I think once I do that, I may be able to re-introduce some foods that I like (e.g. coffee, cookies) in very small levels again. I'm giving myself about 6 months before attempting that however. Another thing the book points out is that humans are the only mammals on earth which drink milk after they are weened from it by their mothers. I never really stopped and thought about that, but it's true. There are no other creatures on earth which go around stealing breast milk and drinking it.
I made some typo's because my mind is on my funky beats. Forgive me. I hope that you can make out the words that I botched up. Sorry.
It may not seem like it's good now, but you know that deep-down, life is AWESOME and it makes you smile a little bit knowing that you will once again believe that. Little self-pep-talks like that should help a little. Like I said before, there is no magic phrase to alleviate this ****. But maybe this type of positive thinking will help some people. It is helping me a little bit by typing it, so maybe it can help you. 6) Cut caffeine out of your daily routine.
Never be afraid to speak up because I feel strongly that digestive tract problems are real and translate into other real nasty symptoms like this. Fortunately we can prevent much of this & need to prevent it from happening. I do feel the more you get afib the worse it can become either physically, emmotionally or both no matter what the cause.
I returned for a follow-up (fasting) blood test a little over a month later which indicated that my thyroid was now within healthy, functioning range due to taking Levoxyl, which my doctor had started me on at the previous visit. Good. However, my iron level and saturation percentage were even lower than before! They had decreased dramatically (and rapidly). The normal range for iron in blood is 25-170 mcg/DL. Mine had gone from 49 in late January, to 36 as of early March.

she hasn't in the past 7 years had or done anything that has helped. It is like she has completely given up on it ever becoming a possibility. Hi Rose! I know exactly what you are talking about. I haven't been able to even go past the apartment that my father last lived in before his passing and I total relate to avoidance of a food or situation because of panic or a bad experience. Thanks for responding.
This time is just a discomfort, not like cramps. Did you take a HPT test before you got your blood test? Congratulations! That is awesome. Thanks for checking in after your BFP!!!
Im meant to be marrying next year and should be the happiest ive ever been, but instead of that some days i feel like giving up. I don't want to live like this. Im on so many different medications and nothing seems to work for me. Currently on antibiotic, steroid nose drops and antihistimines and have anti-allergy bedding etc etc. Still i suffer. I can't remember what its like to wake up feeling well. I miss my job, my life and some days its unbearable.
I found some links regarding this when I did a search for olfactory damage since I had a cat-scan done and the ENT specialist said that although the scan did not show anything - that it sounded like my past illness had caused some olfactory nerve damage. There also has been some mention of possible damage being caused by certain medications. I am going to talk to ENT again regarding possible surgical solution to this since I have seen some info on this being successful before.
I myself, really didn't notice the spotting until I wipped. And then my hubby told me he saw something that looked like blood. But we still did it. I didn't know if it was cause I was still on my AF time, or from something else. So what I would say it just depends on how you and DH feel about that. TMI to some who may think that.
Great comments....makes me think. I like that. :) ""One of the benefits of pairing DAA's is that what one becomes resistant to, the other one is not and they fight off each other's mutations." Well that has been the theory, and it would be fine if it always worked like this. But what this study shows is that each DAA pair must be evaluated on an individual basis. Some pairs, like the one in this study, quickly select out dual resistant mutations.
My husband cares too, to the point that he told me the other day that if something would happen to me he will give up on life, I lol and told him, oh come on I know you'll find a young, pretty girl and marry her, well he wasn't kidding I guess, because he's been pretty sad and very quiet lately. He is usually quiet and with a hurricane category 5 attitude, but I try not to tell him too much, not more than he should know.
