Avatar n tn I took her outside and she did her business, but nothing our of the ordinary there. Her stool was firm and no blood in that. She urinated without any problem. The only odd thing is that usually when she's sick she pulls hard on the leash toward the high grasses and all she wants to do is eat grass. The odd thing is that she showed no desire to eat grass this time. She came back in the house and went to bed. She's sleeping now. Thoughts?
Avatar f tn Just wanted everyone to know that I'm hanging in here. I only have had the blood in my throw up this one time. What I am throwing up is dark brown and almost black, but I can actually see the red tint to it. There was a tiny bit. I thought maybe I had broken a blood vessel and that's why I had blood. But I do have an ulcer and I have been incredibly stressed lately so it wouldn't completely surprise me. I have not seen any blood in my stools, thank goodness.
Avatar n tn I take some vitamins and herbs) - I don't believe at this point that the blood is mixed in with the stool, necessarily, and I have some sort of periodic trouble in the anal area (rawness, bleeding, soreness, so to speak) which does not always coincide with the blood in the stool. I have no insurance currently, and may soon have it; at that time I will ask my doctor to prescribe some sort of test.
Avatar f tn He has it constantly though, not just once a day. My son had issues with formula and never had blood in his stool, but was throwing up violently and it was projectile. They had to rinse out his tummy and switch him. I would keep track of the times and what happens before, etc. and report it again to your ped. Doesn't sound normal, has it been going on for a few days, or has it been an ongoing issue.
Avatar m tn This helps push the hairballs through the intestines and hopefully most hair will be expelled in their stool. Also , if I may suggest, do not feed your cat "people food". It does not have the nutrients cats need, like Taurine. People food can be too rich and cause stomach upset. Furthermore cats need wet food more than dry food. the wet food gives their system water they need for their stools to move regularly. Dry food is ok, if you must, but once a day as a snack.
495284 tn?1333897642 She is half black lab and half german short hair. She had a long ride home(over 3 hrs) and has been throwing up. It is the foamy looking stuff. She is drinking water. Will she get over this or do we need to get something for her tummy? I havent put any food down for her yet. She is still pretty scared in her new surroundings. It has been a long time since i had a little one around........
12679876 tn?1426981493 All test results from the vet came back normal. No bacteria. He did have blood in his stool. But no infection. No temp, and barely dehydrated. He's going in for a teeth cleaning tomorrow because he had severe tartar build up. He got a shot for the throwing up but he has still been puking at least twice a day. Just wondering if anyone has ran into this before.
541150 tn?1306037443 There is blood in his paws and I can't clean that up because he won't let me. I guess I'll just have to wait 'til he calms down. He even growls when I look at the incision. I don't think he is in pain. He just doesn't want to be touched, period. This is so heartbreaking.
Avatar f tn After that pain passed and I didn't really look at my stool until yesterday when the water in the toilet had turned red and had spots of blood on TP, upon inspeaction found blood in my stool, was not in one area bits and little strands in mucus all over. I have no pain in my stomach and hardly any pain in my lower abdomen, if i do it is mild and lasts a few seconds. Not sure if the two incidents are related but the blood is the same red colour, and bits of mucus are present.
Avatar n tn my 6 year old is throwing up (sometime projectile) and complains of pain in his stomach for 4 days. Eating BRAT diet but still throws up. No food particles coming up - only fluid that is green and cloudy. Once he throws up, he is fine. Have him on 15 mg. Lansoprazole. No fever, stool is normal (no diarhea).
1356767 tn?1277278668 I finally came to my senses and realized living off of electrolytes weren't going to cut it. He also started to have a little blood in his stool. I should have followed my Mother's intuition sooner. I took him to the ER. They immediately placed an IV and drew blood. The attending Physician said that he would have died if I had waited much longer. I'm not trying to scare you. I'm just sharing my experience. A week is a long time to have vomiting and diarrhea in a toddler.
Avatar n tn I have a 4 month old min pin and he got his shots the other day 2 days ago and all the sudden he has blood in his stool and its not normal poop. This started today and now he ate and he has puked 4 times in the last hour. He sits there and whines and then pukes. The puke was food but now its froth... its gross... any ideas?
Avatar n tn I'm a junior in college now and my only fear now is throwing up in public. I hate eating at restaurant with anyone but my family because i'm scared that I will puke at the table or where everyone will see me. It is the most irrational fear but i'm still petrified and feel anxious whenever I think about it. I have had a boyfriend now for 8 months, and I don't want to tell him about my phobia in fear that he will think that i'm psycho...
Avatar n tn My doctor sent me to a gastric doctor who said I was in the wrong place as blood will not come up unless you are throwing up. He suggested the ear/nose/throat dr. I had an appointment I had to cancel and I thought it had gone away til today when it happened twice. It was only happening at night I would wake up with that taste and spit. Now it's coming during the day. I do not smoke or have allergies. I do feel something is not right in my throat area.
6072305 tn?1378941937 Discuss these options with your doctor when you happen to meet him next time. He may run blood, urine and stool tests and may sometimes ask for an ultra sonography to detect the cause for the pain. Endoscopy may further help to diagnose the cause. In the meantime avoid NSAIDs, quit smoking, eliminate alcohol and reduce stress levels. Regards.
Avatar f tn I would not want you to remove dairy from his diet long term because he needs the calcium but you could try and remove all foods that have dairy for a few days just for a test and see if that goes away. Mine started with mucus in the stool. Then around 11yrs it turned in to diarrhea and stomach pain. Generally mucus is from irritation. Keep a food diary of everything he is eating so you can track it and see if it is something else he is eating.
Avatar f tn and the constant feeding and holding up is driving us crazy. he is putting on waiting fine and no blood in stool or anything. what is this? could it be that since he was 2 weeks i have been on antibiotics 1st for matitis and now for yeast infection. we thought it was gre but the doc says not since his spitting up does not project outwards. any advice on what to do???
Avatar n tn Yes I did go to the ER for a pain in the side and they kept me for a week.I stop breathing and when I woke up,I freaked they had put me in ICU and tubes coming out of me like frankenstein.Iam 45 going on 46 tomarrow.I think I got the hep from my boyfriend cause he was messing with hookers.I live in Easton,Pa.Iam going to talk to my doctor in regards to see a GI or Hep Dr. Thanks for everyone encouragement.
1851229 tn?1319402408 Can this be caused by throwing up? I don't do it very often. and also, I don't binge. So I guess it isn't really bulimia since I don't ever binge. I just started a new anti-depressant (Viibryd) and it isn't working. I feel the same. Actually I guess I feel a little better but all I can think about is jumping off a bridge or in front of a train. I am at a total loss about what to do. I am already in therapy but I can't tell her about the throwing up.
1851229 tn?1319402408 But the black stool means blood in your stool. This actually happened to me and it turned out after I had a colonoscopy I had internal hemorroids and irritable bowel syndrome from all the years of screwing with my belly. Go back to the gi doc and tell them u want them to look further into what it could be. The procedures arent a blast but at least u will know what ur dealing with. Good luck :-) and if u cant tell your therapist something it is definitely time to find a new one.
621217 tn?1289012687 I’ve been dealing with server nausea and diarrhea for about 5 weeks now and have undergone a slue of blood test and a urine and stool test, all have come up fine. I went back to visit my regular Doctor today who did a Rectal Exam and found traces of blood in it. I was just wondering if anyone knows what this might mean??? She said not to worry about it just yet and to make sure I talk to the GI about it when I go in to see him again.
Avatar f tn This can hurt when you finally do go, so ointment on there is important. Once I was laid up in the hospital and got empacted from the pain medicines, and the nurse put on some kind of light plastic gloves with some vaseline on the fingers, and she gently "dug" it out of there, until she got to the soft part, and I finally had a movement.
Avatar m tn The first few pieces of food he expelled had a small marble size amount of blood probably consisting of a few drops then the second time he threw up 5 seconds later which had streaks, the third time he threw up a few more seconds later had just red coloration in the liquid but nothing rich in color. He's a weiner mixed with pug, and burbs often. I have seen him throw up yellow colored liquid a few times.
Avatar m tn My doctor has always told me that red blood is hemorrhoids (new blood) but black blood mixed in stool means that bleeding is going higher up and is more of a concern. I would, even though it is bright red, make an appointment with your doctor to be seen soon.
Avatar n tn To make a long story short I have a unique factor in my blood that has been partly characterized at the VA Hospital and 2 New York Stock Exchange biotech firms in the Bay Area, Genetech and Chiron. I am told that this factor has never been reported in the literature before. I also had some of my blood tested at Harvard Medical School (CHildrens Hospital) by Dr. Judah Folkman but he told me this factor didnt work in his assays.
Avatar n tn i am now 10 days late, a lady told me yestesday she had the same thing happen as you and to go get a blood test so i called the doctor and he said i could get in next wednesday witch is great for me since its my day off, i am going to take another home test monday it will be 2 weeks missed so im hoping if it says neg im hoping the doctor will tell me different i am very excited and thanks for your help!!
739300 tn?1232466924 I was originally diagnosed with ulcerative colitis last year in Feb and lost 20lb due to bloody diarrhea. I had a flare up last year in August again and took prednisone for a couple weeks and the symptoms went away. I started fooling around around Thankgiving then drank about 16 shots of vodka less than two hours. The next day I had a normal stool at first then about an hour later in the morning I had dark diarrhea with coffee bean looking things that disintegrated into blood.
Avatar f tn He has episodes of pain in his belly area and had bleeding from his belly button. His blood pressure would go up and white blood count would keep going up. After a few espisode of him having intense pain and naval bleeding they surgically removed his naval all together. For the past 3 months he has been having extreme pains in his stomach area and throws up extremely bad to where he is hospitalized for days only to be sent home once he is able to keep food down.
