Avatar m tn I am 34 and have a ton of crowding in my bottom teeth. I was unable to have my lower wisdom teeth removed 5 years ago because of the risk of oral nerve damage. I was told that I had a 99% chance of having permanent nerve damage so they would only remove the uppers which I had done.
Avatar f tn I had my wisdom teeth pulled over the summer. I was not pregnant but I couldnt imagine not having ibuprofen afterwards. I cant handle vicodin so I lived on ibuprofen. It was very painful for weeks afterwards, the bottoms were impacted. I would try to wait if u can, recovering will be painful when u cant take meds.
Avatar n tn I had my wisdom teeth removed about 1 month ago and a few days ago, I awoke with pain in my left jaw joint. Since then, it hurts to open my mouth wide in the jaw joint and down under my jaw as well. I also have felt a little tingle in my face in that area when I open wide and hear a small click in my jaw. Does this sound like TMJ and could it be related to the surgery? Should I contact my oral surgeon or a dentist that specializes in this?
Avatar m tn I'm 22 years old and a smoker (not sure if that matters) but for awhile now (a year or so) i will throw up what I'm guessing is bile. it is lime green in color and comes out very "watery" and "mucus" like. It happens right when i wake up and take a shower. after i brush my teeth i get extremely nauseous and throw this "substance" up, it last all of about 10 min. I feel fine before and after.
Avatar f tn I have never heard of a medical reason for what happened to you, but I have read generally of some ppl getting sick after the removal of wisdom teeth. It may be coincidental and I have no evidence to support the connection. However,I have two wisdom teeth I have put off having removed because I am afraid that it may make me sick. It isn't really rational, but there it is.
Avatar f tn They're is plent of room for them to come in, it's just they really hurt and I was wondering if anyone knew any other remedies to help ease the pain, or how long they will take to come in
Avatar m tn This actually helps it describes Exacly how I've been feeling but is it weird that my symptoms only now started 3 weeks after the wisdom teeth were removed and not directly after cause all the articles I'm reading say that the symptoms start right after you have your teeth removed. And I went to see my oral surgeon today and described what I was feeling and he said he had no idea why I would be having the shocks at all wouldn't be know that this is common in wisdom teeth removal?

Avatar n tn He said that I should get a bone graft after pulling out my wisdom teeth. Is this necessary? No one else I have talked to has had this done including everyone in my family. Are there any benefits to having it done?
Avatar f tn A couple of years ago, my dentist informed me that my wisdom teeth needed to be removed as soon as possible. I have still not had them removed and the far/upper region of my lower right jaw (near/below and the area around my wisdom tooth) is where I occassionally experience pain and swelling. Could my sore throat have anything to do with the wisdom tooth on the lower portion of the right side of my jaw? Or are the two wholly unrelated?
Avatar f tn s been 8 days since I had wisdom teeth surgery to remove two of my right wisdom teeth. Yesterday, I had the stitches removed and the doctor said that everything looked great. While checking my teeth, I noticed a small hole in the lower part where my wisdom tooth was. I'm not sure if the same goes for the upper part as it's hard to see. Is this normal or should I go get it stitched? How long until my gums go back to normal?
1025061 tn?1252454030 Wisdom teeth can be painful while erupting through the gum, but unless they are impacted, there is no reason to have them removed. Your report shows your wisdom teeth are in an excellent position, which means they can erupt and cause you no problems. I have all of mine. I have never heard of itching with erupting wisdom teeth. Your wisdom teeth are not postioned in a way to affect your dental health, I would leave them alone.
Avatar f tn My husband is 21 and the dentist says he needs his wisdom teeth taken out. They are not impacted but they are growing in crooked and will not grow out all the way and are causing a bacteria build up. If we wait until they all pierce through the skin can he simply get them pulled and not have oral surgery.
Avatar m tn I recently had my bottom two wisdom teeth removed and i cant open my mouth more than an inch. When i try to open my mouth it feels like something in my gums is being pulled. It feels the worst in my gums under the tooth fourth from the back so i don't think its pain from getting my wisdom teeth taken out, but maybe from having my mouth open too long? I don't know if it needs to be stretched or if i need to rest.
Avatar m tn Day 6 without a pill and today I throw up after I brush my teeth,I would have thought that would happen on day 1/2 or 3 not 6.
Avatar f tn The only thing they can do it a routine check up and maybe clean your teeth. I need my wisdom teeth out as well but I gotta wait until Jan.
Avatar f tn So I just broke my wisdom tooth in half at dinner tonight. And at my last doctor appt she told me that she didn't want me getting them removed cause I told her how my dentist told me I needed too. Now that its broke do you think I will have too get it removed or wait till after the baby. My doctor said that it would be to stressful and painful for me being pregnant to get them removed cause I wouldn't be able to take pain meds. My tooth doesn't hurt.
Avatar m tn I had my wisdom tooth(2) removed 6 days ago. my lower left lip and a few teeth are still feeling numb currently. is this numbness going to be temporary or permanent?
Avatar f tn After getting your wisdom teeth pulled, you are likely to experience pain and swelling or there may be some bleeding. While your mouth heals, you have to be careful not to dislodge the blood clot or harm your healing gums. For more concern, I would suggest you to visit to a surgeon with whom you have your teeth surgery.
