Throwing up after flu shot

Common Questions and Answers about Throwing up after flu shot

throwing-up

I got the flu shot and after 2 weeks I went to my dr and she said I had the stomach flue.. so I would go to your dr to get checked. ..
though you make get more tired because your immune system is working overtime to create it's defense mechanism against the flu. (= I got it and I have yet to get sick. I didn't get sick after my shot, just felt kinda tired which is normal for me anyway haha I haven't gotten to sleep since my baby began to move...he's active mostly late at night. (= I would recommend getting it because not getting it could be worse for you and your baby if you do end up getting the flu!
While I have never gotten a flu shot before I am throwing around the idea of getting it this year just because I am pregnant. I haven't talked to my OB about it, but I think I am going to ask about it at my next appointment just to get her views on it. I understand where you're apprehensive because I'm feeling the same way, but to look back at last year at all of the nasty cases that were in my area I would hate to deal with that as well.
I started with cramping and pain, then the cold sweats and anxiety, then 2-3 hours after that all started I starting violently throwing up. Now I'm back to the pain and cramping all around and this clouded feeling in my head like it weighs a million pounds. Sorry, I'm ranting now. Anyway, I really appreciate all the support.
one of the reasons i think i do this is cause last spring me and my mother where walking around in the mall when i felt very sick so i headed for a bathroom but unfortunatley i didn't make it i throw up about 3 to 4 times on the way to the bathroom and i was totally embarassed bout the whole thing and the fact i hate throwing up period!!!
I found this forum after doing a search on flu shot/shoulder pain as well. I got a seasonal flu shot, administered by one of our pharmacists and it was administered properly. I am a healthcare professional and have taken flu shots my entire life. I usually experience a little discomfort at the injection site, but nothing like this. My lab partner and I received our flu shots on Septmber 23rd and had soreness the next day so bad that we could hardly perform our job duties.
I witness my bEstfriend get extremely sick 3 hours after his first flu shot. I just try to stay healthy by washing my hands, eating right and exercising.
Thanks, I'll do that I just had the seasonal flu shot in Oct & the H1N1 flu vaccine wasn't available at that time they said they would have it this Nov around about the 13th or so & would let me know as soon as it was available since I fit the category of those with ailments that require the shot.
still not great but when i stopped the incivek they got much better then when i was on the incivek...maybe don't plan on going right back to work after the incivek...at least plan on a week after..i would also have a plan in place incase you can't work during the ria and interferon...that could happen...the goal is get through tx as i'm sure you know...good luck....
However, after a lot of thought and prayer my husband and I decided to go ahead and get our daughter the flu mist...and for me to go ahead and get the shot. My main purpose in even getting the vaccine myself was so our precious baby would be protected this winter! We aren't planning on taking her anywhere for the first few months to limit exposure...but those first few appointments at the pediatrician are unavoidable!
We don't get the flu shot because my husband was rushed to the ER after he got one. He developed the flu that turned into pneumonia very quickly. It was horrible and nearly killed him. I never have had one and he hasn't since. It's been 8 years and neither of us have had the flu even though we have been exposed to it plenty.
I am also glad I found this post, since I was beginning to feel like I was the only one who had such a complaint, and it was just plain weird. After several years of putting up with these "flu-like" symptoms after aerobic exercise, I think I have finally found out what's going on. While scanning the web searching for answers, I came across a site that deals with digestive ailments, and their possible influences on your body.
I took liquid calcium/magnesium at dinner time as recommended, had a warm bath and I applied this lavender, rosemary, cinnamon, arnica, eucalyptus cream called "dream cream" all over and that included my sinuses; which drained like crazy (I didn't even know they were clogged either!). It was the best night in five weeks. Not my usual snore-a-thon but still pretty good after the many sleepless nights I've (we've all) had.
org and it will tell you all about artificial sweetners. I would get a flu shot also when pg. My DS will be 3 in dec. He gets one every year. After children are 2, the only way they will give a flu shot right away is if they are prone to asthma. My DS has chronic colds and bronchitis so they put down on his chart he is asthmatic which we are still not sure of, but he gets them now every year.
Latest flu shot linked to seizures Check the calendar, flu-shot season is here -- and if you thought last year's vaccine was bad, wait 'til you get a load of this one. They haven't even started jabbing shoulders in earnest yet, and we're already getting terrifying warnings from the feds -- because one of the new vaccines has been linked to seizures in children.
My first shot I got a girlfriend to give it and a couple more til I got the nerve up. And now its routine. 1st shot and flu like symptoms the first nite. But none since. I also take Ribra. I was doing 180 on the shot until my blood count got low now I am doing 135. Yeah blood count coming up. I think most SX come from the Ribra but are mild. I have 9 weeks left undetected at 12 weeks. There is a light at the end of the tunnel.
I was probably cured with that shot alone. I never got sick ..as in throwing up for hours, from another shot again but I was pretty apprehensive about shot numba 2.
Had a pretty bad head ache all day yesterday, but can't tell if it was really the shot or just myself getting so worked up about getting the shot. Anyhow.. Today i feel great, totally normal and nothing arising at the shot site yet, just a little ***** mark from where she stuck me. I am so happy right now that i have reacted so good for the first shot. 1 down, 47 to go HA HA. Will keep all updated as the weeks go by.
So yesterday I had the shot for my negative blood type and a whooping cough vaccine. After the shot I got a rash and was very itchy. This morning I woke up with massive diarrea and was throwing up uncontrollably. I had a fever and was shaky. My hands were twice the size they usually are. I called my doctor amd the nurse tells me that having a reaction to the shot is rare and that I might have the flu or something and to go to a clinic.
Went to the GI after i picked up meds, thought i was going to get my first shot there ..NOT....i got a kit, video, icepack and calander thing, and was told to go home and watch the video as many times as needed.....i was so nervous, as i was alone. I took 2 Tyenol and went right to bed. I woke up several hrs in a cold sweat, next day i had a low grade fever, i had a terrible metallic taste in my month. BUT i did it.....the next 4 shots were terrbile for me.
got shot one, then a month later shot two...shot three after six months. NO big deal and as he said...totally worth it to prevent any chance for more damage.
I'm either having chills, or I'm getting night sweats. On Sun., I was throwing up and I've been queasy feeling all week. By the way, these quivers ARE NOT SEIZURES, I just want to clarify that. As far as the fever goes, yes, I get them often. This morning it was 100.4.
Coud be, Carson had to leave school a few weeks ago as he began throwing up- he made it out of music class in time, poor kid! I know our peds nurse has always told me if hte fever leaves & comes back, they need to be seen as there may be something going on. My kids were always problem children when they got sick, so they pretty much make me bring them in anytime I have to call. Hope your little one feels better soon, not a fun way to spend early summer.
We have decided not to get the swine flu shot, we do not get the seasonal flu shot either as neither of us normally get the flu. I am 18wks pregnant and talked to my doctor about it. She said if you do not normally get the regular flu shot then shouldnt jump on board with the swine flu vaccine as the seasonal flu has killed way more than the swine flu has. Also, all the hype about pregnant people dying from the swine flu.
I ran fever and had severe chills for three days after every shot. The deppression got so bad I just wanted to lay down and die despite being on zyprexa( a very strong drug) the others did nothing but zyprexa gave me enough of a lift to keep going. I know it is tough and no you aren't a baby. If this **** was easy to take the boy scouts would have a merit badge in interferon. Just the fact that you have made it this far means that you are one tough bird and can't be chewed up easily.
Really sick! What the hell?? I am throwing up more, hurting more (muscles) , sleeping more, etc. Feel worse?! Weird (ER!) things going on, teeth killing me now, I can't freaking move!! I expect that our bodies will go thru a 'shock' period....is this it? Anyone else get worse before better?
I didn't use them all and posted once that I would take them sometimes on shot weekend, and I felt like a drug addict all over again. Actually after everyone said they would never do that most said do what's best for you. Most people are supportive, although we don't always agree on how to approach tx. Rose, are you on peg-intron to call B-N-Charge? If not I could call and make up some big LIE! I'm getting pretty good at it.
Perhaps we're all experiencing a similar reaction that some people experience after getting a flu shot. This after being inoculated via an agent contained within our food, pharmaceuticals, etc. Maybe such a means is impossible but it would be an effective way to inoculate a population against some biological threat, en-mass (without them knowing...) Yeah, either that or it's just a really bad cold.
My period was due one week after getting the shot but it never came! I am not on birth control and my BF and I can't remember if we even had sex since my last period, as I had been sick for about two weeks prior to getting the shot (first a bad cold, then strep, now a cold again). Anyway, I have seen this same question on many websites where alot of people answer that antibiotics can't affect your period, but then why are so many people asking this same question I am asking?
