There comes a time in your life when you need to grow up and take responsibility. If she chooses to drink after the baby comes then that is fine as long as she does it responsibally and in moderation but it would be a good idea to abstain from drinking until after the baby is born.
) But back to t27, she wants to have some alternative drink ideas, as she has given up drinking. So what non alcoholic drinks can we suggest to her to have while she is out 'painting the town red', as they say in Danish...
You might want to try Canada Dry ginger ale. It's one of the few brands made with real ginger, a natural anti-nausea agent, plus the carbonation helps. I pretty much lived on the stuff my first couple weeks. Other natural anti-nausea/anti-gas remedies safe for pregnancy include peppermint tea or candies, fresh ginger grated into hot water or ginger candy, or anything with lemon -- tea, drops, hot lemonade, etc.
Distilled water uses heat to basically boil out all the minerals -- that's why it's used in car batteries, for example, because it doesn't have the minerals drinking water has to clog up the works. But the body needs minerals, and you don't want to leach them out, which is what'll happen if you drink distilled water regularly. Now, some people do it, particular those with particular conditions that require them to leach minerals out of their systems.

As soon as I got to the bathroom I started throwing up this yellowish white stuff. But every time some would come up I would sit there and gasp for air and none would come. I'm not sure if it was because I was throwing up so much or if it was stomach acid or if I was inhaling it. I'm also 31 weeks 1 day, so I don't think it's morning sickness. Has this happened to anybody before or know why it happened?
I started with cramping and pain, then the cold sweats and anxiety, then 2-3 hours after that all started I starting violently throwing up. Now I'm back to the pain and cramping all around and this clouded feeling in my head like it weighs a million pounds. Sorry, I'm ranting now. Anyway, I really appreciate all the support.
Tuck, Melissa, and Alison No more throwing up, but I woke up with a new symptom today, a horrible migraine, which I never get. Can anyone tell me why my head is hurting so bad that now I feel that I need the ER department again. I took my vicodin, but it is not helping at all. I just don't know why this is happening, my doctor appointment with the specialist is on the 30th but I think I may need to move it up.
He is on the bland diet -- bananas, rice and toast and only drinking water. No matter what he has, his tummy gets sore after he eats. He did go to the doctor yesterday, blood tests show no infection, nothing remarkable in the results. His pediatrician says he might have to go to a gastroenterologist to have a endoscopy done to take a look at his esophagus and stomach. This is his fifth day being sick.
For almost a year I've been throwing up mucus in the mornings mainly during the season change. I've been to a specialist and he says that this is because I have a weak lining of the nose causing the mucus to drip down my respiratory track to my chest and because the build up is so big, my body has no other choice but to reject it through throwing up. He also says that it mainly happens around the season change due to sinuses.
I know he makes himself throw up, but only after he's been drinking alot or done too much cocaine. But the main point of the coversation was trying to find a way out of my trapped mind. He's a strong believer in hullucinagenic drugs like Mushrooms. He wants me to try them, even just a little bit because he thinks it might help me out of this cage that I've built for myself. I hate my cage, but at the same time, it's my home.
I quit drinking about six years ago after about 18 years of pretty heavy drinking. I quit after I realized that the drinking had gone from recreation to my primary coping mechanism in life. I spent a lot of time at a support group I won't mention by name, and it helped, because they had all been there, and did stuff to help me keep my mind straight.
My cat has been throwing up since this afternoon, she is quite old (and has suffered with ear problems for a long time, she went to the vet yesterday for a check up on her ear). I have never seen her throw up this much and it is worrying me that something is wrong, she just seems to be throwing up a white foam(?) liquid and can't keep any food down. She keeps trying to moisture her mouth and I can tell she is having difficulty swallowing/has a sore throat now(?
It is not about fearing weight gain or weight loss at all that brings about the condition. The fear is of throwing up and can be a 24/7 fear.

I get a burp that smells like sulfur or rotten eggs. When I get this I know shortly, within an hour, I will be throwing up for the next couple of hours. This sometimes lasts for a couple of days. I also have bad, gas and runny stools. If its not coming out one end, its coming out the other. Is it something I've eaten that is bad, or am I suseptable to food poisoning because I've had it before? Can you help me?

And about 30 mintues after I drank the yogurt, I was throwing up again. Has anyone else had problems drinking milk or milk products while pregnant? That's the only connection I can find between Monday and today. All other times I have been fine - except for eating Burger King!
I could not keep anything down, and it hurt somewhere where my bladder is. I also had gotten green diahrea a little after throwing up too. Then I was constipated. And Saturday I was out with my boyfriend and his family and i took a shot of captain and I had a little bit of green runs again. And yesterday my area that was hurting by my bladder stopped hurting, but then when me and my boyfriend went to have sex, it was okay for a few seconds and then it felt like it was cramping again.
Had I read online about how common anxiety attacks after a night of drinking are, maybe I could have started my road to recovery sooner, and maybe some of you can. Anyways, I am a 25-year old college student (receiving my 2nd BA tomorrow actually :D) who had never experienced anything related to anxiety or panic attacks ever in my life. I've always been a laid back, easy-going individual.
I just try not to overdue it and make sure I'm still drinking water. Thank you!
And what the OP also stated, was that he has gotten tested YEARLY, since he reached SVR, so, a year after his High Risk Behavior, his reinfection was NOT picked up, on his VL test. After SEVERAL years, it was picked up...and then, when they tested him again, they then found NO vl again!! Then they tested him again, and found VL, and the gentype 1b, the same type he had, originally. So, you see..his case IS unusual.
My understanding is the reason for the study was to try and help 'hopeless' cases of those affected with the virus who were unable to stop drinking after repeated attemps. In these cases, seems better to treat and drink, then just to drink and not treat.

With this, Its been 3 days now and the hangover symptoms and throwing up are gone but I have an annoying dizziness/ light headed feeling when standing up and walking around. It is bare able. I can still workout, run, go about my day but I always have this annoying dizziness which gets worse at certain times then others. Its almost a feeling of being out of it and its really just starting to bother me. It fades in and out. Im really hoping this isn't something serious.
Eating something beforehand/having food in your stomach is a good idea, since it slows down the alcohol absorption. Drinking plenty of water is critical, because alcohol screws with water retention mechanisms and makes you pee a lot, dehydrating you.
