throw up after brushing teeth

m 29Weeks AnD Every Time I Brush My Teeth Now It Makes Me Vomit. Anyone Else Have This Issue?

sometimes when brushing my teeth, sometimes after morning sex, sometimes after just laying in bed a while before I get up (anxiety attack?) Did you get over yours?

most times when I brush my teeth it gives me this mouth watering feeling and once I'm done brushing I have to immediately throw up it happened with my first child though

Yeeessss my first trimester I didn't want to brush my teeth cuz I kept throwing up. It was so counter productive lol but thankfully by 16 weeks it went away .

m down to brushing my teeth once a day and use mouthwash after I eat and before I go to bed. I hate my teeth feeling gross so I can't wait til I can scrub them really well. I take zofran but only when it's really bad and it works wonders. For when it's not so bad, sucking on peppermints seems to settle my stomach.

Oh man. I dread brushing my teeth. I start gagging before I even start.

I used to throw up every day when I brushed my teeth. For some reason brushing them in the shower seemed to help and I have no idea why. It eventually went away buy I was pretty miserable for a while.

Lol i normally gag while brushing my teeth but I'm more sensitive when I'm pregnant there's really no fixing it it'll go away once you have the baby

I was just tell my husband tonight that I dread brushing my teeth because it makes me throw up. I can't even chew a piece of mint flavored gum without getting sick! I will try the sea salt idea, I have never heard of that before.

ok this has happend to me 2x now....first time I was brushing my teeth and was brushing my tongue and hit my gag reflexes and well then started getting the drive heaves......well this morning I was just fixing my hair for work and (TMI) well since I've been pregnant I've had alot of mucus in my chest....and well some was in my throat and high my gag reflexes and made me have the heaves until I was actually throwing up blood....I guess my question is can this hurt my babies?

At the beginning brushing my teeth was a torture. How important it is to have a clean tongue and floss.

Oh yes. Bleeding gums are very common during pregnancy. Just take it easy when you brush. Don't let the blood stop you from brushing. Pregnancy gingivitis can cause complications.

In the beginning of my pregnancy my gag reflex got so bad that I'd throw up everytime I brushed my teeth n just had 2 repeat the process!!

Yes i have the same problem....that damn toothpaste part gets us all:/! I sometimes have to prepare myself before i brush my teeth so i can finish at least but still emd up throwing up before.

I have no idea how to help. I'm having the same problem and it's like a thick film building in back of my mouth. Iced tea is the only thing that doesn't have a bad aftertaste.

My dentist said brush with water. Then you can rub toothpaste on your teeth when you are done. It's really only needed for the fluoride.

I'm 20 weeks and cleaning my teeth still makes me gag and nauseous. When I had severe HG it made me throw up quite a few times. I just grin and bear it because with me it's not the actual toothpaste but my gag reflex. It's gross and to be honest I don't see it leaving until the end because my stomach is still so sensitive.

I'm 11wk 2d and I haven't really had any morning sickness but today I woke up to get ready for work I threw up as I was brushing my teeth with no warning :( I didn't throw up dips neither, it was a bright green liquid & out was alot . I've been nauseated my entire pregnancy, and I've been unable to brush my teeth with toothpaste since about week 10. I've tried different toothpastes, but nothing will work. I throw up everytime I use toothpaste after about 4pm... It's weird. But I've learned to use only water on my tooth brush before bed, and I brush 2 or 3 times in the morning / afternoon with toothpaste. My OB and dentist both said just using water at bedtime is fine. So I'm 15 weeks pregnant and I'm well over my morning sickness but a couple of times I've threw up right after brushing my teeth, and its like not just once but everything in my stomch until I can't puke anymore. Has anyone else delt with this?

I had the same problem. Brushing teeth was a real nightmare. I threw up everytime. It got better when I started using calendula or propolis toothpaste (without mint or other strong herbs like thyme, basil or tea tree). Hope this helps.

Yea gum works but then it makes me really hungry lol. Brushing my teeth makes it worst it taste like I brushed my teeth and drank orange juice right after lol.

when brushing your teeth everytime i do i keck and nearly throw my guts up i dread it everytime i got to brush my teeth no joke i kecked about 20 times yday and my cereal was making its way back up soz for tmi !!!! Later on i had a banana and oops .. that did it for me i threw up everywhere !

Make sure you aren't brushing with a lot of force, as that can cause gum recession. Other than the obvious advice to not swallow toothpaste (duh), it's absolutely fine to brush 3x a day. Make sure you floss as well!

My boyfriend is 25 years old and he recently was brushing his teeth when he got a terrible pain in his head. He thought he was dying he said it hurt so badly. He passed out and woke up covered in sweat and began to throw up. Is this a migraine? The pain dulled a bit and then he slept for a while. It has happened two other times since the initial problem, neither were as sever but both caused him to almost be sick and be in tremendous pain. I am worried it is something serious.
